RUSH: We got the sound bites coming up. The Drive-Bys have told us why Obama did not want the photo-op with Tiger,<\/a> and it had nothing to do with the busload of women that I saw on I-95 who might have been headed that way. I don\u2019t know, probably not, but it had nothing to do with Tiger\u2019s social life or embarrassment over that. It\u2019s that Tiger\u2019s in the 1%. Tiger\u2019s rich. Obama didn\u2019t want a photo-op. This is what the Drive-Bys are saying: Obama didn\u2019t want a photo-op with Tiger \u2019cause Tiger\u2019s in the 1%!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Tiger\u2019s rich, and Tiger agreed with Phil Mickelson when Mickelson said he was gonna have to leave California because his taxes were too high<\/a>. I know Obama\u2019s in the 1%, but he doesn\u2019t act like it and… Well, I take it back. He does act it. He lives like the 1% but he\u2019s not held accountable for being in the 1%. He\u2019s fighting the 1%! You gotta get your head on right. He\u2019s not the 1%. He\u2019s fighting the 1%! If Obama was in the 1%, he would exit the 1%. He\u2019s one of the one-percenters but he can\u2019t help it, as far as the low-information voter is concerned.<\/p>\n

So that\u2019s why they didn\u2019t want any photo-ops.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Here is the sound bite.<\/p>\n

REIHAN SALAM: There\u2019s another angle here. If Tiger Woods were not a part of this, what would this weekend have been? It would be a weekend of President Obama with his friends. And, lo and behold, a lot of those friends are millionaire Democratic donors. I\u2019m disappointed that the press corps does not pay attention when a figure like a Tiger Woods is not involved. Look at who the president is spending his time with. When you climb to the top of that greasy pole of politics, the people you wind up spending time with tend to be donors.<\/p>\n

BURNETT: What an amazing image for a guys weekend.<\/p>\n

REIHAN SALAM: I think that\u2019s something the press corps ought to know about. I think we ought to report about it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, okay, so the weekend was with the top 1%. Now, Obama, as far as his supporters are concerned, he not really a one-percenter. He is behind enemy lines. He has infiltrated the one-percenters. He\u2019s doing research. He\u2019s finding out who they are and how they think so he can shaft \u2019em. Obama is a spy, in other words. He not a real one-percenter — and if Obama could, he\u2019d give all his money away! He\u2019s be the greatest liberal all. He\u2019s donate it! But he can\u2019t \u2019cause he\u2019s president and he\u2019s gotta infiltrate. So he\u2019s behind enemy lines. How about this description of Obama\u2019s weekend: “When you climb to the top of that greasy pole of politics, the people you wind up spending time with tend to be donors”? It was Erin Burnett\u2019s show, and she said, “What an amazing image for a guy\u2019s weekend.” Well, guys weekend with Obama and Tiger, the greasy pole of politics, climbing to the top, slithering up there?<\/p>\n

It works for me.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, folks, one more sound bite on this business that Obama did not want a photo-op with Tiger Woods because Obama doesn\u2019t want to rub people\u2019s noses in it, the wealth of the people that he hangs with. Tiger is a one-percenter. The fear of the photo-op had nothing to do with the fact that Tiger\u2019s had a whole bunch of different girlfriends and they might be doing that. It had nothing to do with people thinking that. It was all about the fact that Tiger\u2019s rich, got a lot of money, and people thinking Obama\u2019s not gonna do himself well if he\u2019s spotted in photos with all these rich people. <\/p>\n

Erin Burnett OutFront last night, former Obama Administration Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense. Man, I need breath control to just get that title out. Former Obama Administration Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Rosa Brooks, and during a discussion about Obama\u2019s golf outing with Tiger and the lack of a photo-op, Erin Burnett talked to Rosa Brooks.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

BURNETT: Rosa, is he embarrassed about his 1% world? <\/p>\n

BROOKS: I think that\u2019s absolutely right. I think that we should be reporting on the sickening influence of money in politics, but I also think that is, unfortunately, the world we live in. If you are a successful national level politician, you can\u2019t afford to hang out with people who aren\u2019t gonna give you money, and our Supreme Court has helped make that possible, has helped make that the situation we\u2019re in right now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: See? See? And Obama, he can\u2019t help it. He can\u2019t help hanging out with rich people. You know why? Because in politics today you have to hang around people who are gonna give you money. Donations. You have to. That\u2019s the second job is raising money. In fact, it might be the first job is raising money. So you have to hang out with people that are gonna give you money.<\/p>\n

(interruption)<\/p>\n

What do you mean he\u2019s not running again, Snerdley? He\u2019s still running his campaign. Haven\u2019t you noticed? Haven\u2019t you been listening? He\u2019s still got his campaign websites. He\u2019s still running campaign ads. I\u2019m serious. They\u2019re still raising money for his campaign. And who knows, they might be raising money for his social justice library that\u2019s gonna be on the shores of Hawaii somewhere. I don\u2019t know. <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the thing. If you are a successful national level politician, and Obama claims to be that, then you can\u2019t afford to hang around with people who aren\u2019t gonna give you money. Meaning, you can\u2019t hang around with average people. You can\u2019t afford to. You must hang around with the wealthy. But you don\u2019t want pictures of it, because that just rams it down the throats of the middle class that you actually aren\u2019t one of them and that you don\u2019t want to be one of them, and that you don\u2019t want to hang out with them. She actually said it. You can\u2019t afford to hang out with people who are not going to give you money.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m gonna tell you, just for me personally, that is the last consideration for me. I don\u2019t want to hang around with people who want money from me. And I certainly don\u2019t want to hang out with people from whom I would ask for money, \u2019cause I don\u2019t. That\u2019s one of the reasons why I would never run for office. I could not put my hand out and say, “Please give me some,” \u2019cause I\u2019d have to repay it somehow, and you lose yourself when you do that. Anyway, so that\u2019s why. It had nothing to do with Tiger and his social life. I think it\u2019s safe to say, folks, that Obama\u2019s now spent more time with Tiger Woods than he has with the Republican leadership.<\/p>\n

By the way, Obama, as far as low-information voters are concerned, he\u2019s not really rich. He\u2019s not really a one-percenter. He has no choice, he\u2019s president. He has to fly Air Force One and the helicopter. He has to throw the parties. He\u2019s just behind enemy lines. He\u2019s studying these people to learn how to screw \u2019em. That\u2019s what Obama voters think. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Rush. How are you doing, dear?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. I\u2019m Kate from Fairfield, by the way.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, oh!<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s like, “Oh. Okay.”<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, yeah. Okay. Listen, I just wanted to say as a 26-year-student of yours I listen very carefully to sound bites, and that former deputy, whatever, chick she was, talking about Obama having to play golf with Tiger. If you noticed she blamed the Supreme Court for him having to play golf. The Supreme Court has now made it a reality that you have to go where the money is.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well —<\/p>\n

CALLER: They\u2019ve been going with the money is forever, but I just laughed when I heard at the very tail end, she said, you know, something about the Supreme Court —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, yeah, I have a mental block on the name of the decision. Dave Bossie\u2019s group, Citizens United, which allows corporations to make donations to political candidates. The left hates that. Look, Kate, I want you to hang on here because we\u2019ve gotta take a break here, and I want to play that sound bite so people know what it is that you\u2019re talking about. <\/p>\n

So don\u2019t go away, folks. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. No, she\u2019s not a Charles Manson fan. It\u2019s just he was in prison there for a while.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, Vacaville. He was. Yeah. He was at Vacaville. (giggling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right. Vacaville.<\/p>\n

CALLER: He was at the medical facility there in Vacaville.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. Now, she references this sound bite we played in the first hour of Rosa Brooks, who is the Obama administration deputy assistant secretary of defense. She\u2019s on with Erin Burnett last night on Erin Burnett OutFront, and they\u2019re talking about why Obama did not want a photo-op with Tiger Woods, and you\u2019ve gotta… If you missed this the first time, listen to this again.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So what Kate\u2019s pointing out here is this woman is saying that the Supreme Court made Obama invite Tiger Woods golfing.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Because of that Citizens United case, which opened up donations from corporations — which are not people! Corporations are evil aliens, monsters, whatever, and they shouldn\u2019t be allowed to donate money. But now they can, and that\u2019s so unfair to Democrats because everybody knows Democrats hate corporations and corporations hate Obama, blah, blah. So the Supreme Court made Obama invite Tiger because, as she said here, since that decision, “If you are a successful national level politician, you can\u2019t afford to hang out with people who aren\u2019t gonna give you money…” To put it another way, you can\u2019t hang out with average people. You don\u2019t have time to hang out with people who don\u2019t have any money to give you because of the Supreme Court. It\u2019s absurd. It is, again… I don\u2019t know. I think all this stuff is just insulting and defamatory.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It absolutely is, Rush, and, you know, they\u2019ve been hanging out with money for 50 years. I mean, this is so ridiculous, and to make that claim. They blame the Supreme Court. Why? Because there\u2019s a conservative majority on the Supreme Court. If there wasn\u2019t, they wouldn\u2019t say a thing about it. But there is, and so they have to bring that up because that\u2019s another leg that they have to take care of with regards to Obama and his Supreme Court appointments.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Because they want to see that court turned.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s exactly right. By the way, we looked it up and according to FEC records Tiger Woods hasn\u2019t donated a dime to anybody in politics. We can\u2019t find a single Tiger Woods political donation.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m sure before that decision Obama was still hanging around money. Can we say George Soros?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, of course! He hangs around with money. Obama\u2019s a groupie when it comes to celebrities. He is the Celebrity of the United States.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: He loves hanging around celebrities. The idea that he\u2019s being forced into this is absurd.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Absolutely absurd. That\u2019s why I just had to call because it was so absurd, I just couldn\u2019t stand it. Being your student for so many years, I just had to say something.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I\u2019m glad you called. It\u2019s always a pleasure to hear from you. How are things going with you? Are you okay?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Very well. Things are going very well.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I can\u2019t afford to give stuff away to people that don\u2019t have anything.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, well, one of the kids would love an iPhone 5. That\u2019s true.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, then I\u2019ll send you one. Now, it\u2019s unlocked. It\u2019s meant to be used in AT&T.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We have AT&T, yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, if you want to use it with T Mobile, you can. It does not have a SIM card. It\u2019s unlocked, so you have to take it to a store and make your deal. It doesn\u2019t come tied to a contract yet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, my. Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You take it to an AT&T store and make whatever deal you want. They\u2019ll put a SIM card in it with the number that you want and we\u2019ll get it out you want a white one or black one?<\/p>\n

CALLER: A black one. They\u2019re all boys. (giggling) Yeah, black one.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, thank you. I certainly didn\u2019t expect that, and it\u2019s so wonderful to talk to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s what makes it fun, and I know that you\u2019re rich and you could get one on your own anyway.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggling) Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Kate, now, hang on and don\u2019t hang up, because Mr. Snerdley needs to get your address. You\u2019ll have it tomorrow. We\u2019re gonna text it out this afternoon so you\u2019ll have it tomorrow.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What\u2019s the age range?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thirty-five down to 12.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thirty-five down to down to 12. You know what? I\u2019m gonna throw in a couple of iPads so that —<\/p>\n

RUSH: — there\u2019s not any anger, animosity. Yeah, so throw in a couple iPads, and I\u2019ll throw a white one in there in case the girl wants one.<\/p>\n
