RUSH: I\u2019m still trying to come to grips here, folks, with the fact that Marco Rubio drank water on live TV. I\u2019m still trying to get my arms around that. It\u2019s gonna take a few days to get over that for me. I\u2019m just dealing with it one day at a time now. I don\u2019t know how you\u2019re dealing with it. I had no idea that Marco Rubio, on occasion, drank water, especially between sentences. I am so shocked. <\/p>\n

You know, CNN has played video of this. I don\u2019t know how many times they have played this over and over and over again. They\u2019re actually asking if this is the new Watergate, if this is the end of Rubio\u2019s career. I have to admit, folks, I didn\u2019t know he drank water. You ever seen a politician do that in public? You don\u2019t see it. You don\u2019t see \u2019em eat in public. You don\u2019t see \u2019em drink water, particularly between sentences. Now, I\u2019ve seen football players drink Gatorade and whatever the hell else is down there on the sideline between plays, but drinking water during a speech, dry mouth during a speech? If I wasn\u2019t so strong I\u2019d take the day off to deal with the emotional wreck that this has made me. But I\u2019m hanging tough. <\/p>\n

Now, CNN got caught on this, and they tried to say, “Come on, lighten up. We were just doing satire.” The last time CNN did satire — was they\u2019ve never done satire. CNN doesn\u2019t know satire when they see it. CNN doesn\u2019t recognize satire. They\u2019re incapable of performing or executing satire, and particularly Wolf Blitzer, who, if it weren\u2019t for his varicose veins, would be totally colorless. The guy is a dryball. He doesn\u2019t have a sense of humor. He doesn\u2019t know sarcasm. Here\u2019s Wolf Blitzer on The Situation Room. Remember, this is the guy, when Bush\u2019s poll numbers hit the thirties, Wolf was orgasming for four hours, reporting it two times every 15 minutes.
