RUSH: The Reverend Jackson, in Chicago. The Reverend Jackson and other relatives of victims of fatal shootings, in Chicago. Do you know, the lawlessness in Chicago, the gun violence in Chicago is now greater than when Al Capone\u2019s gang ran the town? Did you know that, Rachel? You want to know something else? There was no gun control when Al Capone was running around running things. Back during the glory days of Chicago, no gun control. Now they\u2019ve got some of the strictest gun control laws in the country, and they got gun violence occurring in record levels. The Reverend Jackson and relatives want federal action. They have called on noted expert Barack Obama to do something. Here is the Reverend Jackson from Saturday in Chicago.<\/p>\n

JACKSON: We look at death coming down the street and can\u2019t stop it. We need federal intervention. It must be seen as a threat to national security. It\u2019s not just local. When the president shows up, it shows ultimate national seriousness.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me translate in case the quality of our recording equipment was not up to speed there. The Reverend Jackson said, “We look at death coming down the street and we can\u2019t stop it. We need federal intervention. It must be seen as a threat to national security. It\u2019s not just local. When the president shows up, it shows ultimate national seriousness.” So the Reverend Jackson is calling on violence and gun control expert Barack Obama to come back home and fix it. <\/p>\n

(interruption)<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know. Don\u2019t ask me. I\u2019m not the expert in fixing this. Obama is. He\u2019s supposed to go there and get people to stop killing each other. It\u2019s an issue of national security. <\/p>\n

(interruption)<\/p>\n

No, no, no, no, no, not black troops. He\u2019s supposed to go there, and just him going there and being serious about it is all… if he would show up, it would mean ultimate national seriousness. That alone would convince people to stop killing each other in Chicago. That\u2019s what Jesse Jackson said. Obama just needs to show up, just needs to come home. That would do it. That would show national seriousness. Jackson is not talking about the National Guard, Snerdley. Federal intervention is the expert in all this. Obama coming home and fixing it. Maybe he\u2019s calling for federal police. If he is, it just means he\u2019s calling for Obama.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: What the Reverend Jackson truly wants is federal police. He wants Department of Homeland Security to help patrol the streets of Chicago. If you read the article, that\u2019s what he wants. Now, he does want Obama to show up. Look what Obama\u2019s done. He\u2019s fixed the deficit. He fixed health care. He went to the Middle East and ignited the Arab Spring with his speech in Cairo. That\u2019s safe. He fixed Iraq. He fixed Afghanistan, fixed waterboarding, fixed Club Gitmo, and captured bin Laden.<\/p>\n

Jesse Jackson simply said (summarized), “Would you come home? Would you do something for us and come home here and show some national seriousness on this?” He wants the Department of Homeland Security to help patrol the streets of Chicago, and I just want to remind you: Remember how some people on our side were laughed at, mocked, and made fun of as conspiracy kooks for worrying that Homeland Security could end up being our national police?<\/p>\n

I think Reverend Jackson wants Obama to come to Chicago and bring his gun. (interruption) What? (interruption) If I call for national police? (interruption) Well, come on! Snerdley is asking what would happen if I called for national police in minority neighborhoods. Come on! Of course nobody\u2019s gonna say that about the Reverend Jackson. I just say if Obama shows up, take his gun. You saw the picture of Obama skeet shooting at Camp David.<\/p>\n

You know, I haven\u2019t wanted to bring that up. The people that are experts in skeet shooting are saying that they\u2019re a little dubious of the legitimateness of the picture because, I gotta tell you, the smoke coming out of the barrel doesn\u2019t look right. The angle of the shotgun doesn\u2019t look like there\u2019s any kick-back. (interruption) He\u2019s not aiming it high enough, I know. But Obama could be so good that he\u2019s waiting for it to hit the ground before he shoots it.<\/p>\n

At that very moment before it hits the ground, he fires. He could be that good. Most people, you know, try to shoot the sporting clay or the skeet at its apex, the apogee. But Obama could be so good, he could be waiting at Colin Kaepernick territory down there, like six feet off the ground to blow the thing up. He could be that good.
