RUSH: Kim Kardashian is pregnant. Did you see that? Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are gonna have a baby. It\u2019s a beautiful thing. Isn\u2019t it wonderful? <\/line><\/p>\n

And then there\u2019s this story: “Study Suggests Lower Mortality Risk for People Deemed to Be Overweight.” That means the heavier you are, up to a point, the less likely you are to die. Thin people are more likely to die than people who are overweight. It doesn\u2019t surprise me. I remember when I was a kid, I\u2019d always been a chunky kid. I was always made fun of as a chunky kid. I remember I was ten or 11 years old, we were playing football one Christmas Day afternoon. It was muddy. We\u2019re getting all our new clothes dirty and making our mothers mad, and I started being taunted for being chunky.<\/p>\n

I said, “Let me tell you something. If this world is hit with a nuclear blast, I got enough on me to survive much longer than you do.” Turns out I was right. The overweight are less likely to die than the thin. <\/p>\n

Anyway, here is Kim Kardashian. She was on Entertainment Tonight on CBS last night talking about pregnancy. It was in Las Vegas. Listen to this. Amazing stuff.<\/p>\n

MCLARTY: Are you having morning sickness, cravings?<\/p>\n

Kardashian: I haven\u2019t yet. Um, I wouldn\u2019t say that it\u2019s been easy because it\u2019s, you know, it\u2019s been, um, but no morning sickness. My sister has made it look so easy. And it\u2019s not as easy as people think. It is, um, you know, a little painful. There\u2019s a lot of growing pains.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow, who knew? Who knew? There you have it. Kim Kardashian on pregnancy. It\u2019s not as easy as people think. (laughing) Well, we\u2019re just appealing to the low-information voters. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Sad news out of Hollywood, folks, devastatingly bad news. Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, are calling it quits. It\u2019s got Hollywood shaken up. This was thought to be one of the dream couples. I mean, People magazine, sexiest people alive couples, and they\u2019re calling it quits, again. They called it quits some time ago. They got back together, everybody\u2019s happy, and the world was right, and now they\u2019ve fallen apart. And people don\u2019t know how to deal with this. It\u2019s devastating. It\u2019s a great magazine cover. Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana.<\/line><\/p>\n

And Katie Holmes and Jake Gyllenhaal are dating, did you hear that? Now, this is according to an Italian tabloid, and that is being denied. It\u2019s very important to point out that the Gyllenhaal-Holmes dating combo is being denied, but we wanted to report that big news to you even though it is being denied. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Northern Iowa. We\u2019ll start with Jeremy. I\u2019m glad you waited, sir. I appreciate your patience. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush, thanks for taking my call. I just wanted to say, I think you\u2019re on to something about this low-information voter and this entertainment news. I\u2019m not gonna say my wife\u2019s a low-information voter, but it must have been last Friday when you started going through the entertainment news<\/a>, usually she\u2019s like, “Oh, turn off Rush.” Or, “You gotta listen to Rush all the time? Turn that down.” Well, you\u2019re going through all that stuff and she was in the other room and she actually told me to turn the radio up.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No kidding?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you\u2019re wife is an admitted low-information voter?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I\u2019m not gonna say she is. She voted for Romney, but she doesn\u2019t like to listen to you half the time. She tolerates you sometimes, but as soon as you started talking about those entertainers she wanted me to turn it up, instead of turn it down, so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: See. I knew it would work. My staff said, “You don\u2019t do that. You\u2019re gonna make your real audience mad.” I said, “No, this will work. We can compromise here. We can do bipartisan. We can do some entertainment news.” And so you\u2019re a testament here. It actually worked on your wife. She asked you to turn this program up when she heard me talking about Kim Kardashian?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. It was two Fridays ago before you went on break. I don\u2019t remember who you were talking about, but she had her ears glued then. So I don\u2019t know, it might work if you include it, but I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Would you say that this program or I make your wife nervous when she listens to it? What is it about it that she —<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: No, I listen to it every day and she kind of gets sick of it, and our AM station\u2019s a little static —<\/p>\n

RUSH: So she doesn\u2019t like it because you do?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Maybe. I don\u2019t know if I\u2019d say that, but that could be.<\/p>\n
