RUSH: We\u2019re gonna start with Rebecca, who\u2019s 18, she\u2019s in Gainesville, Florida. Hi, Rebecca. I\u2019m glad you waited. Welcome to the EIB Network.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you. It\u2019s an honor to speak to you, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was listening to the debate on Tuesday, and afterwards I was watching Fox, and a focus group came up<\/a>, and one of the ladies said an interesting point. She said her undecided vote wasn\u2019t between voting for Obama and Romney; it was between voting for Romney or not voting at all.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I saw that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And it\u2019s kind of scary, but I don\u2019t know what to think about it, \u2019cause at my college, I\u2019ve had some people who kind of have the same opinion. <\/p>\n

RUSH: You are very shrewd, Rebecca. I, too, was a little surprised by that, because it\u2019s hard for me to conceive of somebody sitting this election out. Isn\u2019t that what struck you, that her option was either Romney or not voting?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What is that? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: But anyway, she did say — correct me if I\u2019m wrong — she did say that the debate had convinced her to vote for Romney, right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s good, I would say. That would show that Romney earned it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but she did say that before the debate, she was either not voting or voting for Romney. That was the nature of her being undecided, and then she said after the debate, in this focus group, it was the Luntz group, that she decided to vote for Romney. But I\u2019m like you. I was shocked that one of her possibilities was not voting.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. This is my first election. I\u2019m voting.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you. Thank you. Vote three or four times. It\u2019s Florida. You\u2019re a student. They\u2019ll think you\u2019re voting for Obama. They\u2019ll let you in there as many times as you can get in. Just kidding. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Just kidding, folks, just having fun with the caller here. You\u2019re very shrewd to pick up on that, and I\u2019m glad that you called and reminded me, because — by the way, you\u2019re a student. Do you have everything you need? Do you have an iPad?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. Actually, my mom does, but I don\u2019t have one. I thought about buying it.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: Would your mom be upset if I gave you one?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let\u2019s try it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: If she gets upset, you can always send it back.<\/p>\n

CALLER: All right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That won\u2019t happen. Hang on, Rebecca, and Mr. Snerdley will get your address and we\u2019ll FedEx you an iPad and you\u2019ll have it tomorrow. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Very simply put, ladies and gentlemen, not voting is a vote for Obama. Same thing. If you\u2019re not planning on voting, you may as well be saying you\u2019re voting for Obama. It\u2019s no more complicated than that. <\/p>\n

Obama is on his way now to New York City for his sixth appearance on The Daily Show. Nope. Nope. Gonna be on The Daily Show, taping an appearance on The Daily Show. This is the Jon Stewart show. And then he\u2019s heading over to the Al Smith Dinner that the archbishop holds at the Waldorf “Hysteria.” I was frankly kind of surprised they invited him. It\u2019s Catholics, and Obama\u2019s undermining their religious freedom, and they\u2019re gonna invite him, gonna be polite to him, they always are.
