RUSH: He\u2019s out in Virginia. And he\u2019s telling this lie that Romney doesn\u2019t know that there\u2019s a tax break for outsourcing jobs. There isn\u2019t. But even if there were, Obama has been president for four years. Why hasn\u2019t he fixed it?<\/p>\n

He had a Democrat Congress for two years. And I\u2019m watching the mind-numbed robots sitting behind Obama at his campaign appearance in Fairfax, and there\u2019s this white-haired seasoned citizen smiling big time, and I\u2019m thinking, “You\u2019re the biggest idiot I\u2019ve seen today, lady! There is nothing to laugh about; there\u2019s nothing to smile about. You\u2019re sitting there behind a guy that\u2019s a pathological liar telling all this bohunk about Romney.”<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Okay, let\u2019s just assume that there is a tax break for outsourcing and that Romney doesn\u2019t know about it. There isn\u2019t, and Obama is continuing with the lie that Romney wants to cut taxes for the rich to the tune of $5 trillion. He\u2019s back to that. How many times in the debate did Romney deny it? Three times! So, that doesn\u2019t matter. Anyway, if there\u2019s a tax break for outsourcing jobs, then why the hell haven\u2019t you done anything about it?<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve been president for four years, you little Alinskyite!<\/p>\n

What do you mean, sitting there complaining about things like you haven\u2019t had anything to do with anything for the last four years? And you can extrapolate that to virtually everything that he\u2019s complaining about. When he\u2019s complaining about jobs or he\u2019s complaining about whatever, say, “Well, you\u2019ve been president for four years! What the hell?” He gets away with it, though. Grab audio sound bite number 27. Here is Obama. He\u2019s at a George Mason University campaign rally, warning us not to “talk down the economy.”<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Today\u2019s news certainly is not an excuse to try to talk down the economy to score a few political points. It\u2019s a reminder that this country has come too far to turn back now.<\/p>\n

FOLLOWERS: (cheer)<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Because of your strength and resilience, the strength and resilience of the American people, we\u2019ve made too much progress to return to the policies that led to the crisis in the first place. I can\u2019t allow that to happen, I won\u2019t allow that to happen, and that is why I\u2019m running for a second term as president of the United States.<\/p>\n

FOLLOWERS: (cheer)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right on. Right on. Right on. “Today\u2019s news certainly is not an excuse to try to talk down the economy to score a few political points.” (impression) “So, I want everybody to go ahead and promote the lie that my government put out today, that unemployment fell to 7.8%. Don\u2019t talk it down! Recovery\u2019s too important.” What crisis? “[W]e\u2019ve made too much progress to return to the policies that led to the crisis in the first place”?<\/p>\n

He\u2019s been president for four years!<\/p>\n

He\u2019s the crisis!<\/p>\n

(Sigh) Ah, folks, I\u2019m blue in the face. I don\u2019t want to dispirit you but some of you are gonna have to admit here (or at least if not admit, some are gonna have to acknowledge)… Do you how many people believe what their government tells them? This is not Obama. Obama did not come out and announce an unemployment rate of 7.8%. The government did. Do you know how many Americans think the government doesn\u2019t lie to them?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The government… In other words, I can sit here — and all my brethren on the radio and Fox — and we can explain how this 7.8% number is bogus and fraudulent for the whole weekend. There aren\u2019t enough of us to compete with it. We might like to tell ourselves, “Well, Rush, most people aren\u2019t gonna believe it because they\u2019re not living it. Nobody\u2019s getting a new job. If they do, it\u2019s a part-time job.<\/p>\n

“There isn\u2019t any real creation out there and everybody knows it.” Folks, remember when they were telling us there was a recession when there wasn\u2019t one — in 2006, 2005 — when trying to crucify George W. Bush? We had unemployment at 4.7, 4.8%. We\u2019d recovered; we had a gangbuster economy going on. The media said, “There\u2019s a recession out there. People are hurting. People are suffering. Gas prices are going up<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

People said, “I\u2019m doing fine. I don\u2019t understand.”<\/p>\n

“Yeah, well, you don\u2019t travel to every neighborhood in your city, but there are some people hurting.”<\/p>\n

“Oh, really?”<\/p>\n

“Yeah.”<\/p>\n

“Okay.”<\/p>\n

They convinced people that even though their lives were fine, there were millions suffering. Well, if they can do it then, they can do it now. If a majority of people are not experiencing rabid economic recovery and rabid job growth and are inclined not to believe that the unemployment news is good and it\u2019s gone down to 7.8%, the media is gonna be out there every day telling them it\u2019s getting better.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

“Oh, well, maybe it isn\u2019t for me yet but I\u2019m glad it is for other people.” This is a Herculean task. People believe the government. It\u2019s another problem we face. They\u2019re the architect, government is the architect of most of the problems we\u2019ve got. They come out and create a program to “fix” a problem. In the process, they make the problem worse. And the same people who created the problem and the recipe then come and say:<\/p>\n

“You know what? We need a program to fix this,” and nobody ever says, “You broke it!” People just say, “Yeah, we need a new program to fix it,” to the point that Republicans offer new entitlements, like Medicare Part Z or whatever the hell it was. I don\u2019t know. So it\u2019s a Herculean task (or a “Herculian” task, if you\u2019re in Rio Linda). That\u2019s why it falls to me. Another 114,000 jobs a month. Does that sound good to you, Snerdley?<\/p>\n

(interruption)<\/p>\n

Why not? It\u2019s a lot, 114,000!<\/p>\n

You know what? That was when we were in a solid, steady, upbeat economy in 1962. That\u2019s the number of jobs that were created. Now, you might say, “Well, Rush, \u201962, that\u2019s a long time ago.” That\u2019s precisely the point! We\u2019re supposed to be at between 400,000 and 500,000 jobs a month just to start making progress on replacing the jobs lost since Obama took office. This 114,000 a month doesn\u2019t even keep up with college graduates or people being born who are gonna want a job in 18 years — or, I take that back: 25 years, after living with mom and dad.<\/p>\n
