But it is new to the audience of Univision. What impact, if any, it\u2019s going to have? Who knows?  The authors here are Gerardo Reyes and Santiago Wills.  &#8220;On January 30, 2010, a commando of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Near midnight, the assassins, later identified as hired guns for the Mexican cartel La Linea, broke into a one-story house and opened fire on a gathering of nearly 60 teenagers.&#8221; Folks, you know all this. I\u2019m just telling you because this was on Univision last night.  This is a piece written by these two guys that accompanies the TV show last night.  &#8220;Outside, lookouts gunned down a screaming neighbor and several students who had managed to escape.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_67618\" class=\"aligncenter\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/ObamaFastFurious.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Fourteen young men and women were killed, and 12 more were wounded before the hit men finally fled.&#8221; Fourteen people were killed just in this incident with American guns illegally walked across the border to Mexico from Arizona as part of an Obama administration program.  &#8220;Indirectly, the United States government played a role in the massacre by supplying some of the firearms used by the cartel murderers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Three of the high caliber weapons fired that night in Villas de Salvarcar were linked to a gun tracing operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), according to a Mexican army document obtained exclusively by Univision News.&#8221; I think it\u2019s pretty direct involvement.  What they mean by &#8220;indirect&#8221; is that an American didn\u2019t pull the trigger.  That\u2019s all they mean by that. <\/p>\n<p>But this program is now being exposed for the first time in October, before the election, to a large Hispanic audience.  &#8220;Univision News identified a total of 57 more previously unreported firearms that were bought by straw purchasers monitored by ATF during Operation Fast and Furious, and then recovered in Mexico in sites related to murders, kidnappings, and at least one other massacre.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Here are the details how they, again via ABC News and Univision, &#8220;identified a total of 57 more previously unreported firearms&#8221; used in Mexican crimes.  They &#8220;were recovered in Mexico in sites related to murders, kidnappings, and at least&#8221; two gruesome massacres.  &#8220;Univision News obtained the list of Fast and Furious weapons and a list containing almost 60,000 recovered firearms compiled by Mexico\u2019s&#8221; defense agency.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A cross-reference of the serial numbers of the guns resulted in 96 full matches (several partial matches were discarded). The 96 firearms linked to Operation Fast and Furious all turned up at crime scenes in Mexico from 2009 to 2010.&#8221;   Now, you and I know this, but why now? The timing here is not that bad, but you can say, &#8220;Why are we only hearing about the involvement of Fast and Furious weapons at this late date, and from Univision?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe src='http:\/\/widget.newsinc.com\/single.html?WID=1&amp;VID=23818142&amp;freewheel=69016&amp;sitesection=breitbart' height='320' width='585' scrolling='no' frameborder='0' marginwidth='0' marginheight='0'><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But that could be the point. <\/p>\n<p>The Obama administration and the DOJ did not help Univision at all with their investigation.  Univision was not given any cooperation.  No, no.  Again, folks, I\u2019m not engaging in any wishful thinking here whatsoever.  It\u2019s just that&#8230; Look, on the other side of the glass here I got the Official Obama Criticizer, Bo Snerdley, who is ostensibly as close to being as informed as I am.  It\u2019s almost not humanly possible for anybody to be as informed as I am, but if anybody\u2019s close, Snerdley is. <\/p>\n<p>He didn\u2019t know about this, and I don\u2019t know how many of you did, either. <\/p>\n<p>But the Univision audience is not insignificant.  And this is a program that comes after a very tough interview with Obama for an hour.  The only point here is that you hear all the time, &#8220;If just 5% of black vote would leave Obama, or if 5% of the Jewish vote would leave Obama, oh, he\u2019d be in real trouble.&#8221; It\u2019s the same thing with the Hispanic vote.  The Hispanic vote is considered to be fait accompli, in the tank for Obama. <\/p>\n<p>Now, I guarantee you that Univision is not doing this report to help Obama.  This is not in any way, shape, matter, or form gonna hurt Romney in any way.  But it\u2019s just another portion of the electorate being told something that they haven\u2019t learned from the United States media.  <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14458\">Now, I asked the question last week <\/a>and I asked it all the way back in June. I\u2019ve asked this repeatedly. <\/p>\n<p>Think about this.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_67622\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/ObamaUnivision092112.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>If you were Hispanic, and you learned that the president of the United States had allowed assault weapons to be walked across the border to drug cartels and be used to kill hundreds of Mexicans&#8230;? That would tick me off if I were Hispanic. If I were Mexican, that would particularly tick me off.  If I were Hispanic or Mexican, I\u2019d be asking myself, &#8220;Why did they do this?  What was the point?  Why give these people guns?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>People in Mexico are scared to literal death of these drug cartels and these gangs.  They are more powerful than the Federales in many cases. They put the fear of death in everybody, and here the Obama administration is arming them.  If I\u2019m Hispanic, I\u2019d be asking myself: Why?  Of course you and I know what the reason for this is, even though it sounds cynical.  This was an attempt by the regime to drum up anti-gun sentiment in this country. <\/p>\n<p>They were hoping that there would be rampant stories of crime committed with these American guns that somehow so easily ended up across the border.  Nobody was supposed to know that the regime had a program to make it happen.  Nobody was supposed to find out. But then something did happen.  A federal agent was killed and then all kinds of light was shined on this.  Congressional investigations ensued, and lying took place from the administration to Darrell Issa. From the DOJ. Fudged e-mails.<\/p>\n<p>I was thinking over the weekend, I\u2019ll bet, ladies and gentlemen, many of you have had these same sentiments in recent days.  You look at what you know has happened in this country.  The economic destruction, the absolute collapse of American foreign policy, the incompetence in Washington everywhere you look in this administration.  And then you turn on the news every day and you think, &#8220;My God, there\u2019s no way that Romney has a chance of winning this. No chance whatsoever.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You probably say, &#8220;Boy, if only Romney could have run against a president who was tied to some shocking scandals, like a president who ran guns across the border and hundreds of Mexicans ended up dying!  Gee, if Romney only had a president who had done that.&#8221;  Oh, wait, he does, but it doesn\u2019t matter. &#8220;Yeah, too bad Romney can\u2019t run against a president who didn\u2019t take any care whatsoever to rig up any additional security on 9\/11 in Cairo or in Libya.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Oh, wait!<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?page_id=37804\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_67623\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/00-24_7Self585.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He is running against a president who botched that.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A damaging scandal is where you follow the money and you find a few people close to the president on the take&#8230; like Solyndra.&#8221;  Oh, but we do have that! We do have a president with all kinds of crony capitalism scandals. &#8220;Maybe if Romney had something where several donors got billions of tax dollars to run phony companies orchestrated by the energy secretary into bankruptcy.&#8221;  Oh, wait! Romney does have that to run against.<\/p>\n<p>Ah, it doesn\u2019t matter.  No, in this election cycle, Republicans are stuck with having to harp about scandals where Americans and Mexicans have been murdered &#8212; a president who has admitted skipping half of his daily intelligence briefings. His ambassador lived in fear of his life, as told by his diary found by CNN at an unsecured crime scene strewn with highly classified national security information. Romney\u2019s running against all that, but it doesn\u2019t matter. <\/p>\n<p>Our ambassador was raped and murdered due to the president\u2019s gross incompetence in security preparation.  &#8220;It\u2019s too bad Romney can\u2019t be running against a president who wants to <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14482\">blame all this on a video<\/a>.&#8221; Oh, wait he is!  Well, the Republicans just can\u2019t catch a break.  Then a massive cover-up takes place in full view, and the president blames an obscure American who nobody ever heard of, and blames free speech.  Yep, free speech and a video.  That\u2019s what caused that stuff to happen in Libya and in Cairo. <\/p>\n<p>All this is going on while the president jets off to <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14527\">David Letterman <\/a>and<a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14514\"> Jay-Z<\/a> and a bunch of fundraisers in Las Vegas (where nobody else is supposed to go). &#8220;Why couldn\u2019t Romney have a Democrat in government with all these scandals to run against?&#8221; Oh, he does.  But it doesn\u2019t &#8230; seem &#8230; to matter.  Now Obama\u2019s trying to blame an intelligence flack for bad intelligence. <\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" view=\"full\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14527\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_67624\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/ObamaLettermanProtests.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s amazing.  This is not to mention the economic incompetence, the economic policies which have led to over 3-1\/2 years of unemployment over 8% every month. (sigh) Boy, if there was only something out there that Romney could sink his teeth into that this president had done. Well, there is. There\u2019s all of this, and it doesn\u2019t matter to the nation\u2019s gatekeepers in any way, shape, manner, or form. <\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  By the way, folks, just so you know this about Fast and Furious as a subject matter on Univision: Univision &#8220;has the largest audience of Spanish language television viewers according to AC Nielsen ratings&#8230; In recent years the network has reached even parity with America\u2019s five major English language television networks, and is often a strong fifth&#8230;&#8221; They have a lot of viewers, and they heard about Fast and Furious last night for the first time, in detail that you and I know well and intimately. <\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Before we have to skate outta here for this hour, I want you to listen to just a little excerpt from the host of the Univision show last night talking about people who had just learned about Fast and Furious and all the details.<\/p>\n<p>GERARDO REYES:  They are waiting for an answer.  They want to know what happened and why they didn\u2019t stop these guns from leaving the United States that ended up in these crimes.  They feel helpless.  They don\u2019t know what to do, and we interview one of them and they say, &#8220;Who\u2019s going to pay for this?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  That\u2019s the Univision audience that\u2019s scared, that\u2019s helpless, and is asking how in hell these guns ended up in Mexico from the United States.  And this program provided the answers for \u2019em. <\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: This is Jeremy in Indianapolis.  Jeremy, great to have you on the EIB Network. Thank you so much.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  My question is this: What is your take on&#8230;? The way I see it, these same leftists and liberals who are giving Obama a free pass over this Fast and Furious deal, are the same ones that called for Reagan\u2019s impeachment over the Contras.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Pretty much.  Pretty much.  I mean, it\u2019s different people, different individuals, but it\u2019s the same mind-set. You\u2019re exactly right.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:  Yeah.  I mean, it\u2019s just amazing the hypocrisy that goes on with the left.  It is a different situation, different people, but like you say &#8212; I agree &#8212; the mind-set is pretty much the same.  They\u2019d demonize the Republicans over this. I mean, if the situations were reversed it would just be a whole lot different.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  Look, at the root of all of this is one simple, hard, cold reality.  And that is: The left cannot beat us in the arena of ideas.  They can\u2019t beat us in an open debate of issues, our economic prescription versus theirs. They would lose.  Whatever the policy, whatever the issue, in an open debate of the ideas, they would lose.  Therefore, they can\u2019t allow that to happen, so they have to do any number of things to discredit those who are the best at explaining our policies so that nobody\u2019s believed. <\/p>\n<p>They criminalize the policies if they can, and in the case of Iran-Contra they can use government for anything. We had a CBS reporter last Friday or over the weekend cheering that the government was able to put this<a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=14428\"> filmmaker in jail!<\/a>  A CBS reporter was cheering that, cheering the concept that the government has the power to jail people who do things it disagrees with.  Therefore the left, when they have the levers of power? Anything\u2019s justified.
