CALLER: Hi Rush, it\u2019s a pleasure to talk with you.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Isn\u2019t it? Thank you very much.<\/p>\n
CALLER: You are the George S. Patton of the airways. <\/p>\n
RUSH: Thank you very much, sir.<\/p>\n
CALLER: By the way, I hated baloney as a kid, too. <\/p>\n
RUSH: I despised it. Mayonnaise didn\u2019t even help it.<\/p>\n
CALLER: The two things I wanted to bring up. One was the pizza guy yesterday. I find it very hard to believe that he wasn\u2019t tackled by the Secret Service. How does somebody pick up the President of the United States, lift his seat off the ground and give him a bear hug? <\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, if it\u2019s prearranged.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Exactly. Exactly. <\/p>\n
RUSH: I can tell you that if that happened my security staff would stand there and do nothing, too.<\/p>\n
CALLER: (laughing) I doubt that. <\/p>\n
RUSH: (laughing) You have a great point, though. You have a great point. This guy was not tiny.<\/p>\n
CALLER: No.<\/p>\n
RUSH: This pizza guy was pretty substantial, and he\u2019s picking up the waif-like Obama, waving him around in there. He could have body slammed him up against the wall for all anybody cared.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Like a rag doll. It had to be prearranged or at least set up.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah, and now the pizza guy is being boycotted. The pizza guy\u2019s business is being boycotted by people who don\u2019t like the fact he hugged Obama. Now the pizza guy is asking people not to boycott his restaurant. Honestly. And yet this is the guy supposedly leading in the polls. Where was this? Was this in Fort Pierce?<\/p>\n
CALLER: It was in Florida.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Fort Pierce, Florida. It\u2019s not all that close to Port St. Lucie. It\u2019s close enough, but there\u2019s still enough distance there. This is a self-contained incident in Fort Pierce. Fort Pierce is where I clear customs now when I come back into the country from Europe. I clear in Fort Pierce, not here, and they\u2019re great there. They\u2019re the greatest guys at Customs there. They\u2019re fabulous.<\/p>\n
(interruption)<\/p>\n
Yeah, they have an airport in Fort Pierce. Damn straight they do. How would I land if they didn\u2019t have an airport? Yes, they do. They\u2019ve got a pizza shop. And this guy — was it being boycotted? People were not going to his restaurant after the show of affection and support for Obama. What else were you going to say, Wayne? <\/p>\n
CALLER: Actually, I have another point and then I\u2019d like, if I could take a shot, at why you did your prediction.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: But the second point, I\u2019m somewhat a student of American history. And President Obama is comparing himself to some of the presidents, the great presidents, one being Abraham Lincoln. And I have never ever read where President Lincoln blamed his predecessor, President Buchanan, on the Civil War.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You\u2019re right. You know, Obama couldn\u2019t write a Lincoln-esque speech if he had to. Obama couldn\u2019t even conceive of the concepts of, say, the Gettysburg Address.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: By the way, since you said you\u2019re somewhat a student of American history —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n
RUSH: — a pop quiz. <\/p>\n
CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Who was George Santayana?<\/p>\n
CALLER: I\u2019m going to take a guess, a shot here. Wasn\u2019t he a union officer that, at Appomattox Court House, helped the surrender agreement? <\/p>\n
RUSH: No, you\u2019re very close. George Santayana is a professor who said: Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Repeat it, right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: He\u2019s often confused with Santayana, the Mexican —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Mexican, right.<\/p>\n
