CALLER: The Romney team, I think, is focused on the ballots. Not the views of the media or the polls, but on the ballots of the last two years. The 2010 election and the Wisconsin recall vote election. And where have the voters been voting in the last two years? Right?<\/p>\n
RUSH: You mean Wisconsin? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Wisconsin and the 2010 election, where have the voters been going? <\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, I thought you said where have they been voting. They have been going anti-Obama. Every chance they\u2019ve had they went anti-Obama.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Exactly. They want fiscal responsibility, truth-telling leaders balancing the budget and that\u2019s exactly the way Romney and Ryan are positioning themselves.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I don\u2019t think this is a desperation pick at all. I think this is a governance pick.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Exactly. <\/p>\n
RUSH: I think this is a pick that presumes they\u2019re going to win.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Uh-huh.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I think this is a pick that makes it a serious campaign. I think it\u2019s a pick that brings issues to the forefront, ideas to the forefront. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s anything desperate about this. <\/p>\n
CALLER: Exactly. And I think it is a strength to Romney, because I think strong leaders pick strong people. I think it elevates Romney even more. <\/p>\n
RUSH: I wouldn\u2019t disagree with that. Romney, God bless the guy, is energized himself on these campaign appearances now. Romney is fired up. They\u2019ve got standing room only crowd right now in Colorado to see Paul Ryan. This enthusiasm is great to see. You talk about the 2010 midterms, Wisconsin, I\u2019ve had this — and I\u2019ve had it for a while — this sense that our voters just can\u2019t wait to get these chains off and get to the ballot box. They want November to be here tomorrow and the Democrat voters are not like that at all. Look at who Obama picked. Obama picked a buffoon. <\/p>\n
This guy, folks, I think this Ryan pick has really rattled Bite Me. He\u2019s out there in Virginia, (imitating Biden) “I think we can win North Carolina.” While he\u2019s in Virginia he says that: “I think we can win North Carolina.” He doesn\u2019t even know where he is. He insulted Ryan\u2019s dad the other day. Ryan\u2019s dad died when he was 15 and Biden said, (paraphrasing) “Congressman Ryan says he learned a lot from his dad. Well, let me tell you about my dad. You go to my dad and you start talking about values. My dad would go, ‘No, no. Don\u00c2\u2019t tell me what you value. Show me your budget, and I will tell you what you value.'”<\/p>\n
What the heck? It was very cold. Ryan\u2019s dad died when he was 15. That comment about: My dad, he didn\u2019t want you to talk about your values, he wanted to see your budget. What the hell is that? Household budget? Family budget? Federal budget? Joe, you guys don\u2019t have a budget. I don\u2019t know what he\u2019s talking about. He\u2019s a legitimate buffoon. And then earlier today, this is this morning in Danville, Virginia, the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, a campaign event, and there are a lot of African Americans in this audience.<\/p>\n
BIDEN: They\u00c2\u2019ve said it. Every Republican\u00c2\u2019s voted for it. Look at what they value and look at their budget and what they\u00c2\u2019re proposing. Romney wants to let the — he said in the first 100 days, he\u00c2\u2019s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules, unchain Wall Street. (audience member boos) They\u00c2\u2019re going to put y\u00c2\u2019all back in chains.<\/p>\n
