RUSH: He was from an organization called Greening — g-r-e-e-n, “greening”? — Detroit?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n
RUSH: He came in and said coal is evil?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: What does he heat his house with, do you know?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Coal!<\/p>\n
RUSH: That\u2019s exactly right. So he\u2019s using something that\u2019s evil.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yep.<\/p>\n
RUSH Was he trying to brainwash you?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes, he was.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Now, how is it that you are able to spot this at age 12?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, he was saying that coal mines were owned by the evil rich and he called those workers “slaves” on a presentation. And he said that they\u2019re blowing up mountains and polluting water and killing wildlife.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Wow. They\u2019re blowing up mountains, they\u2019re polluting water, and they\u2019re killing animals. The rich mine owners are doing this in order to get coal?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes. His alternatives were windmills and electric cars.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Windmills and electric cars. What class was this in, Stevie?<\/p>\n
CALLER: This was in our homeroom.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Homeroom. (chuckles)<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n
RUSH: What was it, Career Day or something? Why was he there?<\/p>\n
CALLER: I don\u2019t know. He was just there.<\/p>\n
RUSH: He was just there?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n
RUSH: He was a guest speaker who\u2019d come in for homeroom — and, of course, approved by the schools. This was just daily announcements and this guy starts to rip on coal?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Stevie, I love you, man. You hang tough. You hang tough. I have one question for you but I don\u2019t have time right now. Can you hang on through the break?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We are back to 12-year-old Stevie in Birmingham, Michigan. Stevie, I looked up this outfit. (interruption) He didn\u2019t hang on? Aw, darn it. I wanted to ask Stevie how many of the kids fell for it. I also wanted to ask Stevie what he thought of this: Should Mitt Romney have investments in as many countries as Bill Clinton has girlfriends? I wanted to see what Stevie thought of that. Stevie said he was gonna hang on. Well, the homeroom teacher probably found out about this or the Greening of Detroit probably found out about it, sent somebody over to his house. <\/p>\n
The Greening of Detroit, according to the their propaganda, is a well-established nonprofit resource agency that partners with federal, state, and local agencies, corporations, and foundations to mandate that neighborhood groups, churches, and schools do everything their way to improve the so-called ecosystem in Detroit through tree planting projects, environmental mandates, urban mandates, open space mandates, and workforce development mandates. By the way, they didn\u2019t put mandate in there; I did. I just want to tell you the truth about what these people do. Mandate is not in their propaganda statement. Every time I used it, I added it myself. <\/p>\n
Nothing in here about houses being bulldozed. They do say they want to reforest Detroit. But that just means replant the trees that have been lost with the bulldozing of houses or whatever. I don\u2019t think they want to turn the whole city into a forest. Well, but it says reforest Detroit. I think they just mean replace the number of trees that have been lost in the last few years. Now, we don\u2019t know why they\u2019ve been lost. We don\u2019t know who lost \u2019em. They\u2019re a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization, established in 1989 to guide and inspire the reforestation of Detroit. <\/p>\n
They can\u2019t even afford to replace half of their street lights in Detroit. Well, they can\u2019t, and here\u2019s this bunch of locoweeds running around wanting to plant trees. (interruption) Yes, I am in a bad mood because I just realized how surrounded by stupidity I am. I\u2019m surrounded by stupidity or irritating people. I\u2019m just surrounded. Well, you don\u2019t want to know who. If I start naming names on who\u2019s irritating, you don\u2019t want to know. Don\u2019t ask for names. (interruption) You thought I was making it up about the street lights in Detroit?
