RUSH: So Obama\u2019s giving his amnesty<\/a> speech there in in the Rose Garden. Apparently, somebody yelled a question at him, violating protocol. It wasn\u2019t a Q&A. It was a statement. Somebody yelled a question at him, and he got mad. Kardashian got mad. And MSNBC is reporting that reporters are chasing the guy down. He-he-he. The reporters there are going chase down whoever it was that asked Kardashian a question. And they are going to mete out the punishment. The reporters. Not security, not the Secret Service. The reporters are chasing the guy who yelled.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

Apparently, the person who asked Kardashian the question was a reporter from The Daily Caller. Reporter was Neil Munro of The Daily Caller. He had the temerity to ask Obama a question. He got batted down by His Majesty You\u2019re not supposed to ask questions at these things, and he did, violating protocol, and he ran away. I don\u2019t know what the question was. Daily Caller is Chatsworth Osborne Jr.\u2019s website, Tucker Carlson. We\u2019ll get the audio. Cookie\u2019s working on it.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: So President Obama went out today in the Rose Garden and basically announced amnesty<\/a> for young illegals in what many people are calling a “jobs program” for illegals. But he basically rewrote immigration law outside of the Constitution, outside of Congress. Here are some sound bites to set it up. CNN\u2019s Newsroom. Anchor Wolf Blitzer speaking with chief White House correspondent Jessica Yellin about the regime\u2019s announcement that it\u2019s going to stop deporting illegals who come to the country at a young age. (That\u2019s 30 and under.) <\/p>\n

Blitzer says, “This is not a formal executive order that the president will sign. It\u2019s more of a policy order coming from the Department of Homeland Security.” What, does that make it okay, Wolf? Is that how you rationalize it and make it okay? Oh, Kardashian\u2019s not really doing it! He\u2019s not really signing an executive order. No, he\u2019s gonna have Big Sis do it, Janet Napolitano.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what Jessica Yellin said in response to the probing question from Wolf Blitzer.<\/p>\n

YELLIN: There is an election this year, and we all know that the president and his campaign are working to, uh, not just win the Latino vote — because he does already have significant support among Latinos — but energize the Latino vote. Because he needs, uh, Latinos who already support him to be passionate in their support, to come out and vote. Uh, because that margin —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I —<\/p>\n

YELLIN: — could make the difference for him, um —<\/p>\n

RUSH: — do not —<\/p>\n

YELLIN: — on Election Day.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — believe this.<\/p>\n

YELLIN: And so, uh we could see this through that lens and this is one step in trying to tell this community, “Look, I\u2019m doing something for you.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: I do not believe what I just heard. (Well, I do but I don\u2019t.) She didn\u2019t even try to disguise the fact that she works in journalism! She just came out and said, in a fully supportive and enthusiastic way: It\u2019s about votes! The president needs support from Hispanics. Now, that\u2019s predictable, so let\u2019s do the reversal. If George Bush was announcing this, and if they thought it was for votes, do you think they\u2019d rake him over the coals for going outside the Constitution? For being so selfish? For threatening US immigration policy for his own selfish desire for votes?<\/p>\n

Here we have this woman actually enthusiastically supporting that and explaining it to the audience in a way that she hopes they will support! And CNN wonders why they\u2019ve got 50,000 viewers in the 25-to-54 demographic. I\u2019m gonna play this again. Here you have a guy who is violating the Constitution, who is going outside the law. He is writing immigration policy himself. He is implementing amnesty! And Wolf Blitzer says, “Well, it\u2019s really not a formal executive order. I mean, it\u2019s more of a policy order from the Department of Homeland Security.” So he\u2019s trying to excuse it. <\/p>\n

At least Wolf knows. <\/p>\n

He\u2019s trying to cover for the president. Well, it\u2019s not an executive order; he\u2019s making Janet Napolitano do it. This reporter, in explaining this, comes out here and basically tries to explain it in a way that would engender support for the president! “Well, he needs votes, Wolf! He\u2019s gotta get reelected! We want him reelected.” She doesn\u2019t say that, but she may as well. “We want him reelected, Wolf. He\u2019s gotta do this for the votes. He\u2019s got to get those votes.” Here, listen to this again. I don\u2019t believe this.<\/p>\n

I will help you vote for Obama.” Look, I know that that\u2019s what her mind-set is. My expectations are not high this would be journalism, but this is blatant. “If it\u2019s about votes, it\u2019s fine! If he needs the votes, it\u2019s fine. I don\u2019t care what it is,” is what she\u2019s saying. “Wolf, it doesn\u2019t matter what it is! He needs the votes from these people! Don\u2019t you understand, Wolf? So it\u2019s fine. It\u2019s okay. He needs the votes.” No concern for the country. No concern for the Constitution. No concern for anything other than this poor guy needs the votes. And they wonder why they got 50,000 viewers. <\/p>\n

Okay. I\u2019ve had my fill of that. Now let\u2019s go to some Obama sound bites from the actual Rose Garden ceremony.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Secretary Napolitano announced new actions my administration will take to mend our nation\u2019s immigration policy, eh, to make it more fair, more efficient, and more just.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (groan)<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Specifically for certain young people sometimes called DREAMers. <\/p>\n

RUSH: (sigh)<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Now, these are young people who study in our schools.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh!<\/p>\n

OBAMA: They play in our neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh!<\/p>\n

OBAMA: They\u2019re friends with our kids.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh-ho!<\/p>\n

OBAMA: They pledge of allegiance to our flag. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh-ho-ho!<\/p>\n

OBAMA: They are Americans in their hearts, in their minds, in every single way but one: On paper.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No! According to the law. (scoffs)<\/p>\n

(imitating) “So Big Sis is gonna announce it, not me. I\u2019m just telling you what she\u2019s gonna do on behalf of my regime. They\u2019re Americans in every way you can imagine. They say the Pledge of Allegiance. They hopefully vote — ha-ha! — they study, and they play in our neighborhoods with their friends and our kids, and they Pledge of Allegiance. So you see it\u2019s not right, folks. It\u2019s not right that they can\u2019t vote! It\u2019s not right that they can\u2019t stay and vote. It\u2019s totally unfair. ‘Cause really, they\u2019re citizens.” <\/p>\n

Now, what happens if Obama wants to deport me \u2019cause he thinks I\u2019m not a good citizen? Big Sis would be happy to oblige and the left-wing blogosphere would probably pay my way out. So what we\u2019re hearing today is, folks, that government trumps the rule of law. Getting out the vote trumps the rule of law. There are 30 year olds playing in Obama\u2019s neighborhood? Thirty year olds are playing? I thought kids stopped being kids at 26. So one more. This is Kardashian assuring us this is not amnesty…<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Effective immediately, the Department of Homeland Security is taking steps to lift the shadow of deportation from these young people. Over the next few months, eligible individuals who do not present a risk to national security or public safety will be able to request temporary relief from deportation proceedings and apply for work authorization. Duh, let\u2019s be clear: This is not amnesty. This is not immunity. This is not a path to citizenship.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Then what the hell is it?<\/p>\n

And let me tell you what\u2019s next. Up next is forgiving student loans, and after that forgiving certain home mortgages. You watch. That\u2019s what\u2019s coming next. As I said at the top of the broadcast, I\u2019m just a little surprised that they\u2019re doing this now. They\u2019re spending their political capital awfully early. This is something you normally would save for closer to November. (interruption) Oh, the home mortgage thing? They\u2019ll both happen this summer. Student loans and home mortgage will happen this summer before the new iPhone comes out in September. Pot will be legalized.<\/p>\n

That\u2019ll happen. That will be the last thing to go. If necessary, that will happen in October, legalizing marijuana. Yep. So those are the three things to come. I\u2019m not kidding, folks. I am not kidding. Forgiving student loans (or something very much close to it), and the same thing with home mortgages, and then legalizing pot for the Ron Paul vote. That\u2019s all Obama\u2019s got. It\u2019s either that or beat up Romney, or that and beat up Romney. Now, here\u2019s the bite where the reporter, Neil Munro with The Daily Caller, interrupted the president with a question.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: This is a temporary stopgap measure that lets us focus our resources wisely while giving a degree of relief and hope to talented, driven, patriotic young people. It is the —<\/p>\n

MUNRO: (interrupting)<\/p>\n

OBAMA: (angrily) It is the right thing t\u2019do! <\/p>\n

MUNRO: Is it the right thing to do for American workers?<\/p>\n

OBAMA: (angrily) Excuse me, sir. It\u2019s not time for questions, sir. (stammering) Not while I\u2019m speaking!<\/p>\n

RUSH: The question that Neil Munro asked is, “Is it the right thing to do for American workers?” That\u2019s why Obama didn\u2019t want to answer the question. Plus, the whole thing is scripted on the teleprompter. He didn\u2019t want to go off prompter. But the question was, “Is it the right thing to do for American workers?” ‘Cause Obama had just said, “It\u2019s the right thing to do.” So Neil Munro of Daily Caller says, “Is it the right thing to do for American workers?” He asked the question, fled the scene, and reporters gave chase. <\/p>\n
