They wanted to ask the spokeskid to explain the difference between Bain Capital and private equity and Obama and public equity.  As you know, the regime is doubling down their attack on <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=15578\">Romney and Bain<\/a>, and, in fact, don\u2019t be surprised if you hear a commercial like this before it\u2019s all said and done. <\/p>\n<p>(playing of spoof) <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"585\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nCMNcV8hZvw\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  That\u2019s a great ad. That\u2019s a great parody. It\u2019s a takeoff on the old MoveOn.org ads back from the 2000s.  &#8220;Roooove.&#8221;  It\u2019s funny.  In the meantime, Jay Carney, the spokeskid, they asked him, &#8220;Look, Romney got an 80% success rate.  Bain Capital, they went in, they took over failing companies and bailed \u2019em out, and 80% of \u2019em ended up being saved, growing, jobs are created.  What\u2019s the difference in Romney doing that, Mr. Carney, and Obama investing taxpayer dollars in failed green energy companies like Solyndra?&#8221;  So the reporter said, &#8220;If that\u2019s the argument, that not every company will succeed and therefore it\u2019s too risky because private equity can\u2019t save \u2019em all, if that\u2019s the argument, how is that different from Romney\u2019s argument on Bain Capital which is that many succeeded and a few failed?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CARNEY:  Look, there &#8212; there &#8212; there is the difference in that your overall view of what your responsibilities are as president and what your view of the economic future is.  The president believes as he\u2019s made clear that a president\u2019s responsibility is not just to those who win but those who in &#8212; for an example in a company where there have been layoffs or a company that\u2019s gone bankrupt, that, you know, we have to make sure that those folks have the means to find other employment, that they have the ability to train for other kinds of work, and that\u2019s part of the overall responsibility the president has.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:  This is a joke.  This whole little exercise reveals this regime as nothing more than a joke.  The <a view=\"line\" href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/?p=15558\">Bain <\/a>argument has revealed their intellectual dishonesty for everybody to see it, who cares to.  Carney didn\u2019t have an answer to the question.  What\u2019s the difference?  In fact, Romney and Bain Capital, they are using their own money.  They chose companies to bail out, they succeeded.  What\u2019s the difference in that and Obama using taxpayer dollars to try to bail out&#8230; of course the difference is that every one of Obama\u2019s companies fails.  There hasn\u2019t been a success story in green energy.  There isn\u2019t a business there.  It\u2019s an absolute joke.  It\u2019s nothing more than a money laundering scheme using green energy as the emotional connection to people, have them support it, while money just travels a circuitous route from donor to Obama, back to donor and finally back to Obama.  Pure and simple.  Which is the point we tried to make in our little parody commercial I just played for you. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_62907\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/Obama-Solyndra-02.jpg\"\/><BR\/>So Carney, well, what\u2019s the difference?  In fact, the difference is, Romney is using his own money.  But the government ought not be picking winners and losers.  I\u2019ll tell you the next thing &#8212; and again, this is a statement from Realville.  It doesn\u2019t take long to drive through Realville.  You know, people drive through Realville every day. Not very many people stop, and most people that travel through Realville don\u2019t know they\u2019ve been there.  That\u2019s how tiny it is.  But here you have Carney, (imitating Carney) &#8220;Well, you got a company that goes bankrupt, those folks have to find other employment, train for other kinds of work, that\u2019s part of the overall responsibility.&#8221; No, it\u2019s not.  The president\u2019s not supposed to pick winners and losers.  Somebody loses a job, it\u2019s their responsibility to get a new one. <\/line><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not the president\u2019s job to take care of everybody.  I know this flies against the grain for young people who think the purpose of government\u2019s to take care of \u2019em.  That\u2019s what they\u2019re being taught.  But somebody has to beat \u2019em upside the head with the truth here.  It\u2019s not the role of government.  And we don\u2019t want it to be. It doesn\u2019t work, never has worked.  Government can\u2019t protect losers.  All it does is makes more losers, under the guise of assistance and help and protection.  The government\u2019s not involved in winners.  And it\u2019s not the role of the president.
