CALLER: Oh, great. Great, Rush. As Mark Levin would say, thank me very much for the phone call. Anyways, you know, I really appreciate what you\u2019re doing, Rush. I\u2019m all with you. But unfortunately, you\u2019re preaching to the educated and informed crowd. You see, I\u2019m a truck driver, and I travel all over the Southwest from Houston, Texas, all the way to California, and talking to the youth and the Hispanic vote, they actually believe that Obama\u2019s it. They don\u2019t have anything negative to say about him.<\/p>\n
RUSH: For some of them, that\u2019s true. There\u2019s no question for some of them that\u2019s true. But the polling data, Obama is losing ground in the youth vote. We had two polls on that yesterday, and the same thing is happening with the Hispanic vote. There was a couple big stories yesterday, Rigo, that the Hispanic vote, just like any other voting bloc, it\u2019s not monolithic, and it\u2019s not automatic now vast majority Obama. Every voting group, every bloc, however you want to describe it, has a people who voted for Obama who are now unhappy.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t know who they\u2019re talking to because I\u2019m talking to them all the way across the southwest. <\/p>\n
RUSH: Rigo, here\u2019s the problem with anecdotal stuff. How many people are you talking to?<\/p>\n
CALLER: On a daily basis?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Millions? Thousands? How many are you talking to?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, like I said, all up and down the I-10 route, at least 30 or 40 people a day.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Okay, tell me how it happens. You can\u2019t talk to \u2019em when you\u2019re driving the truck.<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, no, but I\u2019m at truck stops. I\u2019m in towns. I\u2019m at restaurants. I\u2019m at all of this, and it\u2019s just —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n
CALLER: — but here\u2019s the thing. You ever hear the saying that there\u2019s people that play the game, those that watch the game, and those that don\u2019t have a clue of the game being played?<\/p>\n
RUSH: That\u2019s my next question to you, Rigo, did you ask them when was the last time they voted?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Oh, they voted for Obama.<\/p>\n
RUSH: All of them?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, I\u2019d say 75%.<\/p>\n
RUSH: But how many are we —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Okay, I understand, I understand what you\u2019re saying.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You are giving me what is known as anecdotal evidence. You\u2019re talking about your truck routes in the Southwest, and you\u2019re talking to a comparative handful of people and you\u2019re extrapolating that to think that this represents the entire country.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes, I understand. But, you know what, I\u2019m very confident that, as you were saying before, you know, we\u2019re gonna win in a landslide, but I am still so — I would just say — I don\u2019t know if you\u2019d call it scared —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Look —<\/p>\n
CALLER: — but I\u2019m very, you know —<\/p>\n
RUSH: I happen to live — Rigo, you know, you\u2019re describing people as the uninformed and all that. I live in the second wealthiest ZIP code in the country, and plenty of these people here are blooming idiots, and they\u2019re gonna vote for Obama. They think they\u2019re the smartest people in the world and they\u2019re blithering idiots. So they\u2019re everywhere.
