RUSH: Presidential politics on the Republican side, conventional wisdom: It\u2019s over. Romney has it in the bag, conventional wisdom. Because we\u2019re now at the blue state stage of the Republican primary, and it\u2019s only natural to conclude that Romney will win. Why is that? ‘Cause they\u2019re more moderate, right. And liberal, right. And that helps us how? It doesn\u2019t? Oh. Okay. So, the conventional wisdom is it\u2019s over. Romney is gonna steal it all away now. Wisconsin, Maryland, Washington tomorrow. Gonna win it at all. Gonna have a great April because of the lineup of blue states this month. My question — and this is just me — I\u2019m not trying to make a big deal out of something here. I\u2019m just curious about tactics and strategy. <\/p>\n

Why continue all of the destructive attacks on Santorum? There are a lot of them out there. Fox News, Commentary, National Review Online, I mean they\u2019re dumping on Santorum like this race is neck and neck, and I\u2019m wondering why are they still dumping on Santorum if this is all over. Why all the negative columns and comments and ads? It\u2019s over, right? Where\u2019s the healing? Where is the unity? If it\u2019s over, where are the more positive ads and columns and comments about Romney\u2019s record and campaign? Instead we\u2019re getting that his nomination is inevitable; he\u2019s the only one that can beat Obama. And, by the way, Santorum “sucks.” Santorum “is horrible.” Where\u2019s the unity? When\u2019s all this negative stuff gonna stop if it\u2019s over?<\/line><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
