CALLER: I am a member of the Angry Conservative Working Women Party. (chuckling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s a new voting bloc. It is. It\u2019s a new voting bloc.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s a new voting bloc. It is. It is. And we probably started it here in the South. As you know, I\u2019m from Birmingham.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And you\u2019re a proud member?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am a proud member, and I just want to thank you. I thank you daily, and you make me feel so much better. I really want to thank you for your championing of the calls for individual liberty, and we appreciate everything you do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you\u2019ve made my day. I really appreciate that, Dayton. Thank you so much. It is a new voting bloc. By the way, it\u2019s not “white,” because there are a lot of Hispanic and African-American women are ticked off at the economy, too. It\u2019s angry conservative women. That\u2019s the new voting bloc, and they\u2019ve been created by this mythical Democrat Republican war on women.<\/a> Speaking of which, a fascinating audio sound bite here. This afternoon on MSNBC, Luke Russert was the fill-in host, and the guest was the founder of the Priorities USA super PAC, Bill Burton. That\u2019s Obama\u2019s super PAC to which Bill Maher <\/a>donated a million dollars. Bill Burton used to be in the White House. He still technically is but he runs Obama\u2019s super PAC. During the interview, they had a guest panelist (the former governor of Pennsylvania, “Fast Eddie” Ed Rendell), who said this to Bill Burton, who runs Obama\u2019s super PAC.<\/line><\/p>\n

RENDELL: Bill, it\u2019s Ed Rendell. It\u2019s not just conservatives who are calling for us to give it back. It\u2019s Democratic women. I was on the phone just a half hour ago with a very active Democratic woman —<\/p>\n

BURTON: Hmmph!<\/p>\n

RENDELL: — and she said, “We\u2019ve gotta give it back. We\u2019ve gotta make this slate absolutely crystal clear: We stand for everything that\u2019s good about women\u2019s participation in — in politics and we\u2019ve gotta have a — a — a — no gray area. It\u2019s gotta be our good record against their terrible record.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: And the fallout continues. The unintended consequences of piling on me and talk radio is now causing blowback. See, you know what\u2019s become clear to people is that (and this was Kirsten Powers\u2019 point in her two columns about this that she wrote), “You mean it\u2019s okay to say these horrible things about women if you\u2019re a Democrat, because everybody knows as a Democrat you are for abortion and birth control and you\u2019re for liberalism, and basically you\u2019re on the right team? And so it makes it okay to utter these things about women \u2019cause, you know, ‘Wink, wink nod, nod,\u2019 we all know?” And what Fast Eddie is discovering here is that Democrat women say, “No, it\u2019s not okay. <\/p>\n

<\/a>“Just because they\u2019re on our side, it doesn\u2019t make it okay.” Because the women are standing up and saying, “We don\u2019t like being denigrated in this way by anybody. Remember, now, this is de rigueur on the Democrat side. This is every day. Peggy Noonan has a great column on this today in the Wall Street Journal where she chronicles some of the everyday stuff uttered by left-wing bloggers and comedians. And it is utter filth. But they\u2019ve never been called on it because they support abortion and they vote Democrat and they\u2019re on the “right side” of things. So Democrat women are supposed to look the other way and just laugh about it when all these derogatory things are said.<\/p>\n

Plus when you say it about Sarah Palin: My God, that\u2019s gotta be cool! And what Eddie Rendell here told Bill Burton was, “Nope, it\u2019s not just conservatives who are calling for us to give it back, Bill. It\u2019s Democrat women,” and Burton said, “Hmmph!” You heard him say “Hmmph!” in there. So it\u2019s another unintended consequence here. It\u2019s like blacks can never be guilty of racism or hate crimes. Liberals can never be guilty of sexism. Why, they\u2019re all for “women\u2019s rights,” which is abortion and Planned Parenthood and all that.<\/p>\n

So what Democrat women are standing up and saying is, “Wait a minute! You guys can\u2019t have a circumstance here or situation where there are no standards for you, and yet you demand standards for everybody else but you have no standards for you. And your ‘no standards\u2019 allows you to say all these derogatory things about women in general? I don\u2019t care whether Republican women or us.” And they\u2019re finally standing up and saying, “You can\u2019t have no standards for yourself and at the same time create impossible standards for everybody else.” <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
