CALLER: Hey, Rush. It is truly an honor and a privilege to talk to you today. Just want to let you know that we\u2019re at ground zero here in Huron, Ohio, and I\u2019ve been both to the Rick Santorum camp, I\u2019ve been to two of his meetings, and just want to let you know, he\u2019s the meat-and-potato guy. He\u2019s the guy that most of us who are just blue-collar workers want — what\u2019s, you know, best for the country and I don\u2019t know I would necessarily say more religious, but we\u2019re the meat and potatoes. We\u2019re really behind Rick Santorum where I believe Mitt Romney is appealing more to the establishment, the blue-blood Republicans.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, everybody\u2019s keeping an eye on Ohio. The conventional wisdom is — that\u2019s where Steve\u2019s calling from — conventional wisdom is that if Romney wins Ohio, it\u2019s nip and tuck there, that\u2019s it. That\u2019s conventional wisdom. That\u2019s what the conventional wisdom architects are saying, that that\u2019s it for Santorum. It terms of delegate count, that would be tough to come back from, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s over \u2019til it\u2019s over. But I\u2019m just telling you the conventional wisdom, what the pundits are saying, the ones Obama won\u2019t comment on, and that is that Ohio is for Santorum.
