RUSH: Bloomington, Indiana, let\u2019s head back to phones. This is Dan. Thank you for waiting, sir. It\u2019s great to have you on the program.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, what a tremendous thrill up my leg it is to speak with you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: It was one of the momentous events that you always remember where you were. When I first listened to you in 1988, I was on Highway 70 east of Indianapolis when you came on, and I heard you for the first time, and it was like a bolt out of the sky. I couldn\u2019t believe somebody was on the radio saying the things that you were saying, and I remember exactly where I was. It was quite a thrill and I remember telling people, “You\u2019ve gotta hear this guy. I cannot believe that this guy\u2019s on the radio.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m guessing it only took you five minutes to come to this conclusion.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, not even that long.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I was gonna say, didn\u2019t take anywhere near a whole show.<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You ought to see the crease in my pants. If you got a tingle up your leg, you ought to see the crease in my pants.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019ve got friends listening to this. I hope they know what I was talking about, the Chris Matthews thing. But I want to say regarding the church, before I get to my point about Santorum, the Bible is very specific that conservatism is from God. Ecclesiastes chapter 10, verse 2, says a wise man\u2019s heart directs him toward the right when a foolish man\u2019s heart directs him toward the left. Straight out of the Bible. But I wanted to say that I think Rick Santorum, I\u2019m feeling good about him, and I believe that he\u2019s ultimately gonna be the nominee. I think the process is working, and the longer we look at all these candidates, the more we see and understand who the true conservative is, and I think Santorum, you\u2019ve said this before, he speaks it, it pours out of him, he\u2019s fluent in conservatism, and Romney\u2019s <\/a>protesting that he is one. <\/p>\n

RUSH: I agree with you, I think conservatism is in Santorum\u2019s bodily fluids, and, because of that, he\u2019s able to articulate it without thinking about it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And Obama wants Romney as the candidate, not just because of Obamacare, but because Romney, I think, is going to be the candidate that he can run his class warfare campaign off of much easier. Him versus the haves, the haves versus the have-nots.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I think that\u2019s what Occupy Wall Street was all about. I think you\u2019re right about that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
