RUSH: If the economy is improving, if the economy is getting better, why did new home sales in the United States hit a brand new, all-time record low during 2011? If the economy…? If the economy is getting better, why are their six million fewer jobs in America today than there were before the recession started? That\u2019s the labor force participation rate. They just subtracted 1.2 million jobs from the labor force participation rate from December to January.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s in the BLS numbers today. (imitating Obama) “Okay, you know what, tell you what, I just decided, 1.2 fewer jobs out there than there were December, make it happen.” So it happened, and a total number of fewer jobs since the recession started, six million. If the economy is getting better, how can that be? “If the economy is getting better, then why is the average duration of unemployment in this country close to an all-time record high?”<\/line>All of these are facts. I got web links to every one of these. This stuff comes from a blog called theeconomiccollapseblog.com<\/a>. The blogger\u2019s name is David. He likes his anonymity. That\u2019s all I know about the guy. But I checked it out, and it doesn\u2019t matter who this guy is. Every one of these questions with facts is linked to source authority. <\/line>“If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of homeless female veterans more than doubled?”<\/line><\/p>\n

Now, we got this obscure group saying that homelessness declined, but the number of homeless female veterans has more than doubled. “If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of Americans on food stamps increased by 3 million since this time last year and by more than 14 million since Barack Obama entered the White House?”<\/line>Fourteen million people on food stamps today that were not on food stamps when Obama was immaculated. <\/line><\/p>\n

There\u2019s a blogger, Iowahawk, David Burge, he\u2019s got a stat. For every three Americans working, one person is on food stamps. For every three Americans working, there\u2019s one person on food stamps. I\u2019ll have to check it during the break but I think that\u2019s right. That\u2019s as low as it\u2019s ever been. For every three people working, there\u2019s one on food stamps. That\u2019s shocking. And 14 million new food stamp users since President Obama was immaculated. <\/p>\n

How can the economy be getting better? “If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of children living in poverty in America risen for four years in a row? If the economy is getting better, then why is the percentage of Americans living in ‘extreme poverty\u2019 at an all-time high? If the economy is getting better, then why is the Federal Housing Administration on the verge of a financial collapse?” I\u2019m halfway through this list of questions.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Back we are on the cutting edge of societal evolution. For every three people working, one American is on food stamps. And I think counting the entire population, one out of every seven people is on food stamps, one out of every three working. “If the economy is getting better, then why do only 23 percent of American companies plan to hire more employees in 2012?” Remember, now, this is from the Economic Collapse blog and every one of these questions is linked to source authority for the assertion.<\/p>\n

So, “If the economy is getting better, then why do only 23 percent of American companies plan to hire more employees in 2012? If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of self-employed Americans fallen by more than 2 million since 2006? If the economy is getting better, then why did an all-time record low percentage of U.S. teens have a job last summer? If the economy is getting better, then why does median household income keep declining? Overall, median household income in the United States has declined by a total of 6.8% since December 2007 once you account for inflation. If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of Americans living below the poverty line increased by 10 million since 2006? If the economy is getting better, then why is the average age of a vehicle in America now sitting at an all-time high?” You know what it is? It\u2019s 10.8 years. How old is your car, Rachel? Seven years. Three more years you\u2019ll be right there at the national average. <\/line><\/p>\n

“If the economy is getting better, then why is the average age of a vehicle in America now sitting at an all-time high? If the economy is getting better, then why are 18 percent of all homes in the state of Florida currently sitting vacant?” Eighteen percent of all homes in Florida are vacant. “If the economy is getting better, then why are 19 percent of all American men between the ages of 25 and 34 living with their parents?” <\/p>\n

Now, there could be another answer for that, the chickification of our culture could be playing a role in that. <\/p>\n
