RUSH: I\u2019m just looking at some videotape here, some Occupy protest somewhere. It was on MSNBC and it was total chaos. They didn\u2019t identify where it was. We have been talking the next phase of this Occupy stuff is pretty large civil disobedience. There are pockets of it that have sprung up in Oakland, Atlanta, other places, but that\u2019s the next phase of this, especially if ACORN is involved. And this is all part of a master plan to create unrest and chaos, general frustration, dispirit people who oppose President Obama. Everything that\u2019s going on here, folks, is designed to make it appear as though you and I are the smallest minority in the world. The country\u2019s passed us by, we are relics of a bygone era; we\u2019re not with it; we\u2019re not hip, and we\u2019re just supposed to slink away, fade away, shut up and let these people have what they want and do it the way they want to do it and it\u2019s over. They want a defeatist attitude in as many of us as they can create. It\u2019s all part of a plan and they\u2019re rolling this out, media paying attention to it, keeping it alive by design. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Here\u2019s Louis in Columbia, Maryland. You\u2019re next on the Rush Limbaugh program. Hi.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Very good. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n
CALLER: They asked me to jump right to the point. I\u2019m going to community college right now —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: — and having breakfast, and CNN was playing their morning show — I don\u2019t remember what it was, but — right on the screen popped up the Oakland riots, the ones that are going on right now with the Occupy Oakland groups, I guess.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah. They\u2019ve had a couple instances, at least of unrest there.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right. And you were mentioning at the start of the show how the media was waiting for some Kent State-like something to fuel their fire on this.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah, yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And the CNN reporter, she\u2019s saying this, she\u2019s like, “This is a terrible incident,” but they keep bringing it up the whole show. So it\u2019s like they\u2019re relishing in it. They\u2019re encouraging it.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh.<\/p>\n
CALLER: They\u2019re working right with it, you understand?<\/p>\n
RUSH: They can\u2019t wait for the outbreak.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Of course not.<\/p>\n
RUSH: This is like waiting for the car wreck at a race. They\u2019re just hoping and praying. They want the unrest for Obama. They want the news; they want the excitement. I sense boredom in a lot of the media these days. I think a lot of the media is very bored.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I mean, what else have they got to report but a bunch of college kids that smell like urine?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah. Smell like urine, look like urine.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I\u2019m not one of those, by the way.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I can tell you\u2019re not. You don\u2019t sound like you smell like urine.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Thank you.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You bet. You can tell when somebody speaks, what they smell like. I\u2019m good at this, I\u2019ve made a lifetime of studying it, and you sounded clean as pure as the wind-driven snow.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Why, thank you.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You bet. All right, thanks for the call. I appreciate it. I do. I sense the media\u2019s bored. They\u2019re waiting, hoping for an outbreak. Really. I think something like Kent State happens — you know, if law enforcement goes in there and fires on some of these protesters — I think they\u2019re just gonna eat it up. Now, they won\u2019t say that. No, no, no, no! But you look. Something like that happens, you note the energy, “Breaking news!” for 24 hours. Because at these people, news is a repetitive cycle. And the repetitive cycle they hope for is a cycle which cements in their own minds their relevance and their power to shape and bend public opinion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
