RUSH: Here\u2019s the story about the thieves descending upon the Occupy Wall Street crowd. It\u2019s in the New York Post: “It\u00c2\u2019s a den of thieves! Occupy Wall Street protesters said yesterday that packs of brazen crooks within their ranks have been robbing their fellow demonstrators blind, making off with pricey cameras, phones and laptops — and even a hefty bundle of donated cash and food. ‘Stealing is our biggest problem at the moment,\u2019 said Nan Terrie, 18, a kitchen and legal-team volunteer from Fort Lauderdale.”<\/p>\n

Now, isn\u2019t that what these protests are all about, stealing. The protesters are carrying signs that say, “We just want your money.” So apparently stealing is only a problem when it happens to you. When it happens to others it\u2019s social justice. <\/p>\n

One of these protesters was crying, “I had my Mac stolen — that was like $5,500. Every night, something else is gone. Last night, our entire [kitchen] budget for the day was stolen, so the first thing I had to do was … get the message out to our supporters that we needed food!\u2019 Crafty cat burglars sneaked into the makeshift kitchen at Zuccotti Park <\/a>overnight and swiped as much as $2,500 in donated greenbacks from right under the noses of volunteers who\u00c2\u2019d fallen asleep after a long day whipping up meals for the hundreds of hungry protesters, the volunteers said. … ‘I had umbrellas stolen, a fold-up bed I brought because my back is bad — they took that, too!'” What a shame. <\/line><\/p>\n

“Security volunteer Harry Wyman, 22, of Brooklyn was furious about the thievery — and vowed to get tough with the predatory perps. ‘I\u00c2\u2019m not getting paid, but I\u00c2\u2019m not gonna stand for it. Why people got to come here and do stupid stuff? All it does is make people not wanna come here anymore,\u2019 Wyman fumed.” I don\u2019t understand this, folks. I thought the whole idea here was share and share alike. I thought the whole idea here was that whatever you have is everybody else\u2019s. I thought the whole idea here was if somebody\u2019s got a $5,500 Mac and you don\u2019t have a $5,500 Mac that you\u2019re entitled to it. I thought if there was an envelope of $2,500 of cash in the kitchen and it\u2019s not yours, that you\u2019re entitled to it. <\/p>\n

They haven\u2019t gotten around to blaming George W. Bush yet because they\u2019re still begging for food now. They\u2019re out begging for food, they\u2019re begging for cash. They want replacements. “At one point yesterday, Wyman and other volunteers briefly scuffled with a man who was standing near a park entrance with a pail calling out: ‘Donations! Donations!\u2019 — and pocketing the cash people tossed in the bucket.” So here\u2019s a guy collecting donations pocketing what he was collecting. What\u2019s wrong with that? I mean this whole group is about thievery. This whole group is about burglary in the name of social justice, but look what happens when it happens to them. They get so righteously outraged and indignant. <\/p>\n

What I love about this is that you\u2019ve got some people, the same people that have learned how to scam Medicare and Social Security, they see exactly what we have here: a collection of absolute birdbrains. They see a bunch of spoiled rotten, probably a lot of rich kids. They know there\u2019s gonna be a lot of money there and a lot of goodies. So, they wait until these people burn themselves out at the end of the day, get all tired, walk in as fellow protesters and just walk out with whatever they want. It\u2019s easy. Because these protesters can\u2019t fathom anybody taking anything from them. And when they do of course it\u2019s terrible injustice. <\/p>\n

“Meanwhile, the Reverend Jackson was at Zuccotti Park late last night as he and about 50 protesters –” speaking of con men, the Reverend Jackson showed up. This is not gonna make Reverend Sharpton happy. Looks like he got upstaged. “The Reverend Jackson was at Zuccotti late last night as he and about 50 protesters formed a human chain in front of a medical tent after police officers came over to ask about the tent.” A medical tent where they probably dispense medical marijuana. It\u2019s probably what\u2019s going on in there. “‘Jesse dropped in like a ninja,\u2019 said Stephanie Perricone, 21. ‘He came out of nowhere and helped us all out.\u2019 The officers were asking about the size of the tent when the crowd of demonstrators — including Jackson — stood en masse in front of it. The cops didn\u00c2\u2019t ask for it to be taken down and the issue was quickly resolved.” <\/p>\n

Another triumph for the great Jesse Jackson. Hope he got his usual cut. Hope they paid him. Can you imagine the Reverend Jackson showing up to shake down these poor people after they\u2019re being stolen from? By the way, Bloomberg said something about this. Yeah. This is in the New York Times. “Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, speaking Monday as Occupy Wall Street protesters celebrated the passage of a month encamped in Zuccotti Park, said he was trying to strike a balance between protecting protesters\u00c2\u2019 right to free speech and the needs of Lower Manhattan residents. ‘The Constitution doesn\u00c2\u2019t protect tents,\u2019 he said at a news conference in Queens. ‘It protects speech and assembly.\u2019 … ‘We can\u00c2\u2019t have a place where only one point of view is allowed.'” Not looking good for the protesters if Mayor Bloomberg\u2019s about to turn on them and claiming their tents are not protected under the First Amendment. <\/p>\n

Now, you got a protester with a $5,500 Mac. They\u2019re all over the place with iPhones and other gadgets. Obviously they can afford these expensive toys but they can\u2019t afford their student loans. They want their debt forgiven. They don\u2019t want to have to pay off their student loans. I\u2019ll tell you, Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of General Electric, and also the CEO of Wells Fargo, you know, a lot of people, “Well, we gotta listen to these people. I can understand people being unhappy with the economy. Makes perfect sense to be upset you can\u2019t find a job. We\u2019ve gotta pay very special attention.” A lot of people are afraid of this bunch. Or, if they\u2019re not afraid they\u2019re trying to score some points somehow by sidling up to \u2019em. But it isn\u2019t going to work, as the Doug Schoen polling data indicates.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
