CALLER: All right, I am defending you every chance I can get, but my coworkers here, they can\u2019t take the analogy of you using the colonoscopy and finding Obama\u2019s head up in there. I said, “He must be right because everything he says his mind is on loan from God, so go with it.”<\/p>\n
RUSH: All right, wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Let\u2019s start from the beginning here.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You said that you defend me to coworkers?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes, sir. Coworkers, and my fellow students at school also. I also going to school. At school also. I grew up listening to you. I grew up listening to my other guy, G. Gordon Liddy back in \u201985.<\/p>\n
RUSH: He owns all the gold now, yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes, sir. And I went and met him in New Orleans at the Superdome. But I listened to you religiously, and they just don\u2019t like it. They go like, “Okay, from the start you\u2019re listening to him. You should be listening to all the hip-hop,” all that crappy music that\u2019s out there. I said, “No, you listen to the guy who\u2019s telling you what to do to lift yourself up.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Okay, I get you. So you listen to me; they give you grief for listening to me. You defend me.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: They don\u2019t listen to me.<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, no, they have no choice because I have the say-so over radio.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, they do listen to me while you have me on, they\u2019re at work.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Correct.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, okay. So they have their own preconceived notions that I\u2019m a rotten SOB, and you\u2019ve defended me against being a rotten SOB, but something happened today that they said, “How can you listen to that? How can you say you support that?” and it was my colonoscopy line about Richard Wolffe?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Correct.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, let\u2019s repeat what I said so people will understand what it is you\u2019re calling about. Richard Wolffe is a sycophant author and journalist for MSNBC. He has had unfettered access to Obama to write a couple of sycophantic books. Do your friends know what sycophantic means?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You sure?<\/p>\n
CALLER: They say they do.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well (sigh), if they don\u2019t, there\u2019s another definition for it called “kiss ass.”<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes!<\/p>\n
RUSH: Okay. That\u2019s relevant here.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Okay, so there are any number of ways to describe the kind of relationship that this supposed “objective journalist” has with Obama. I thought that a very articulate — and polite in adult conversation — way of expressing my opinion of the kiss-ass attitude that Wolffe has with Obama is to say that if Obama ever had a colonoscopy, they would find Wolffe\u2019s head there.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n
RUSH: To me, that is one of the most… That is sheer broadcast talent. That is Communication Talent 101. I mean, that is above and beyond. There\u2019s nobody can have any doubt about what I mean.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I understand.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yet your coworkers were profoundly offended by that, right?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes. And I also say, “Remember, they crucified God\u2019s son. If he\u2019s got his mind on loan from God, why do you always persecute him? He must be telling the truth.”<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well…<\/p>\n
CALLER: Think about it.<\/p>\n
RUSH: “Talent on loan from God,” do your friends think that I\u2019m saying I am God when I say that?<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no.<\/p>\n
RUSH: “Talent on loan from God” means I\u2019m simply thanking God for his blessings upon me.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I understand.<\/p>\n
RUSH: And that it\u2019s temporary. My talent\u2019s on loan. When I die, so goes the talent. There is no other with it. I\u2019m me. There is no other me just like there\u2019s no other you. So it\u2019s simply thanking God. When I say, “Talent on loan from God.” I\u2019m not saying my talent came from Gaia, I\u2019m not saying my talent came from Obama or from anybody in government. Talent came from God.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I understand.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I\u2019m simply utilizing this talent in being descriptive about what kind of reporter Richard Wolffe is.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I understand.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Now, why were they offended by this?<\/p>\n
CALLER: They don\u2019t like you, point-blank.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And they just get offended because you\u2019re on every time I\u2019m here at work. (laughing)<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah. Did you laugh when you heard me say that?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Oh, yes! Really laughed.<\/p>\n
RUSH: And that bothered \u2019em even more. See, that\u2019s what really got \u2019em: You laughed.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Oh, yes. Oh, yes.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You understood it. You understood it. You know why they really don\u2019t like it?<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, sir.<\/p>\n
RUSH: ‘Cause it\u2019s effective and because it is accurate and it\u2019s pretty descriptive and so forth. So they come in with an anti-Rush prejudice or bias, and that simply allows them to say that their bias and prejudice is justified.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, the truth does hurt.<\/p>\n
RUSH: It does. So what would you have me do? You\u2019re calling to tell me this. Are you asking me to tone it down? Are you asking…?<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, no, no, no! Keep it going because, you know, all you could do is push your issues on \u2019em, and I might try — we might try — to convert a couple of them. You never know.<\/p>\n
RUSH: See, I was painting a word picture. I could have been vulgar when I said that.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Understandably.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I could have really been vulgar. I could have used street terminology, but I didn\u2019t. I came up with a creative conversational way. Everybody talks about colonoscopies all day long. Everybody knows what happens with one.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Understandably.<\/p>\n
RUSH: And rather than find a polyp, you find a journalist\u2019s head. I mean, it\u2019s possible!<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes, sir, and I\u2019m also thinking —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Are they listening now?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n
RUSH: (chuckling) Even better.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And I\u2019m also taking up for you also in school, in history, we were looking up something, and I came across you because you was on one of my pages, and they go, “Why do you listen to that guy?” and I explained why.<\/p>\n

CALLER: “You want the truth, this is who you listen to.”<\/p>\n
RUSH: It is the truth.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I\u2019ve been listening since \u201989.<\/p>\n
