I think Donald Trump, they\u2019re setting him up to be Barack Obama\u2019s ace-in-the-hole.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Tell me how.<\/p>\n<p><BR\/>CALLER: The reason why is right after John Boehner in the House passed the Cut, Cap, and Balance bill, I was surfing the radio and I found him on a liberal radio station saying how<\/line><img id=\"eZObject_53756\" class=\"alignright\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/trymop.jpg\"\/><BR\/> bad that bill was and how John Boehner and them were going to get laughed at when they got back and how Nancy Pelosi was very, very smart. Well, anybody saying Nancy Pelosi\u2019s very, very smart is a brain-dead Democrat anyhow. But the other thing is like Ross Perot was to Bill Clinton. He got in the race, he was winning, he dropped out; then he come back in to lose credibility. He took enough votes away from George Bush that Bill Clinton got elected. Donald Trump jumped in, he was doing good in the polls. He made up an excuse about the TV station wanted him out so he dropped out. Now he keeps saying if Republicans don\u2019t put the right nominee up that he\u2019s gonna run independent.<\/line><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: What\u2019s that gonna do? That\u2019s gonna take votes from the Republican.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I know he\u2019s saying that, but I\u2019m gonna talk to him about that. He\u2019s been doing a lot of media lately. (interruption) No, I\u2019m gonna talk to him before the golf course. His course down here doesn\u2019t open back up \u2019til October. I\u2019m gonna talk to him before then. But he\u2019s been doing a lot of media lately. He goes in cycles on this stuff, and he\u2019s ripping into Obama here, and he is floating the idea that if the Republicans don\u2019t nominate the right guy he\u2019s gonna run. Maybe get back into it again. This independent business is third-party. That\u2019s death. You\u2019re absolutely right. Your instincts on that are right on the money. I\u2019m not convinced that Trump is going to do that, even though he\u2019s said so.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (silence)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Another caller literally dazzled with the reply into sheer silence! You know, Trump, who knows what he wants? He may be angling for Treasury secretary. He\u2019d be a hoot!
