RUSH: E-mail. “Dear Rush: You don\u2019t know anything about it. You\u2019ve just lost a lot of respect from millions of us regarding your totally uninformed rant about the public just not filling out the paperwork to receive a loan modification. Rush, it is and was not the homeowner who faltered; it was Obama again. He pays these banks to review every request for loan modification, yet he failed to put any oversight and penalties with the funds. The banks can\u2019t make modifications \u2019cause they don\u2019t know who owns the loan since 90% of these mortgages were securitized multiple times,” meaning bought and sold by other people. <\/p>\n

“The paperwork\u2019s minimal. It\u2019s the bank statement, et cetera, copies. But the real problem is the banks keep saying they lost it, or they didn\u2019t receive it, so they can keep collecting the fee from Obama. I sent ours in seven times, and the few who did receive a modification are still required to pay delinquency plus interest and tons of fees. The modification is only temporary, then all the reductions, the missed payments and fees accrue at an interest with a maximum of five years; and they\u2019re due in a balloon payment. Plus the homeowner signed off any right to defend any further actions. No one\u2019s getting anything for free. I\u2019ve asked you in the past many times to educate yourself on the greatest robbery and attack on property ownership in America. Even you will be shocked. <\/p>\n

“Please stop trying to rabble-rouse on foreclosures when you don\u2019t even know what you\u2019re talking about, and you don\u2019t even know who you\u2019re slurring.” Who did I slur? Who in the world did I slur! Especially talking about loan modification program. The caller was making the point. The caller was blaming the loan modification on the paperwork. Now, you might want to say I “slurred” some people when talking about the stimulus and the redistribution of money when all you have to do to get it is nothing, but I wasn\u2019t talking about the loan modification program. I was talking about the stimulus at that point. <\/p>\n

Regardless, if I did anything, I slurred into the truth, which is what happens. But, see? The longer I live, the less I know. I know they\u2019re touchy. They\u2019re touchy and this woman obviously thinks that I was criticizing her. It\u2019s obvious she thinks that I had her in my crosshairs, and I was somehow lighting into her as the problem. I don\u2019t know how you get that. I do not know. Here I am and this whole show has been a defense of average Americans against the onslaught of this stupid regime. All right. RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think Obama is beatable, and I think so because he is an expert Chicago politician, and in cooperation with the media, who are experts at social engineering, I think that will make it happen.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait. You say he\u2019s unbeatable or beatable?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Unbeatable?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Unbeatable. We can\u2019t beat Obama?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I mean, we could beat him, but I think it\u2019s unwinnable because Chicago politicians know how to make it happen when it comes to elections —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: — and he has a media who are experts at social engineering, and they know how to make it happen, too.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right. Okay, so what do we do?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hope for a miracle.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What would that be? What would the miracle be?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Uhhh…just a miracle. I don\u2019t know. I can\u2019t describe it, but it would just have to be (garbled).<\/p>\n

RUSH: Is that what you want to do?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Is that what I want to do?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. I mean, you\u2019ve just told me that he\u2019s unbeatable and it\u2019s unwinnable because he\u2019s so good, the media is so in bed with him and plus Chicago politic and such means they don\u2019t know how to lose. So we\u2019re left with hoping for a miracle.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I — I don\u2019t want it to be that way but I think it just is.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. So you think they\u2019re gonna be relying on buying votes, for example? I mean, how do they do this? How does this Chicago machine pull it off? Why are they so invincible?<\/p>\n

CALLER: (groans) Nothing sticks to \u2019em, Rush. I mean, anything he\u2019s ever done bad… You know, poll numbers are still decent for the most atrocious president in our history.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s saying something right there, and I don\u2019t know how they\u2019ll pull it off but, you know, they\u2019ll find a way. You know, foreign policy-wise or any way, you know, just to make him look great and the other person look awful and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it is very difficult to defeat a sitting president. There\u2019s no question. It\u2019s very difficult to beat an incumbent. I just happen to think different, but silly me, what do I know? The longer I live it\u2019s apparent I don\u2019t know diddly-squat about anything. It just seems to me that there\u2019s not one — not one, zero, not one thing — which recommends this guy get four more years. There\u2019s not one thing that suggests he\u2019s earned another four years.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Jimmy in Polk County, Florida. Great to have you, sir, on the EIB Network. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, thank you. I just wanted to encourage — and maybe offer some hope — for the gentleman who called earlier who didn\u2019t think that winning the election was possible. I want to suggest that by rebuilding and restoring the most fundamental part of our electoral process, which is our voting precinct structure, we can get the job done, and I would encourage him and every one of your listeners to take a look back into their civics classes and see what they can find about getting involved in their local precincts, because that\u2019s where elections are truly won.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, the guy was calling from Kansas City, and I put this guy in the category of total defeatist. There\u2019s just nothing we can do. Not only is he from Chicago, in Chicago, they cheat — and the media will help them cheat. There\u2019s nothing we can do. It\u2019s impossible to beat Obama because of the Chicago machine and because of the media and I can\u2019t relate to that kind of an attitude. If I had that attitude, I\u2019d just quit. I\u2019d hang it up. What\u2019s the point here? I can\u2019t relate to people with that attitude. I know they exist. They\u2019re in the throes of depression or what have you. But to me it\u2019s a nonsensical statement. I hate to sound brusque, if that\u2019s brusque, but to say that something 18 months away is a fait accompli and that there\u2019s nothing we can do about the outcome one way or the other just doesn\u2019t compute with me. <\/p>\n

I\u2019m not suggesting that it would be a waste of time to shore up and learn about the precinct process and all that. But believe me, our side\u2019s well aware of vote fraud. Our side\u2019s well aware of the tricks that might be played. It\u2019s not as though we\u2019re just sitting around waiting to be cheated on with no recourse. You know, they\u2019re telling us how fragile they think Obama\u2019s reelection changes are. It\u2019s costing them a billion dollars? He\u2019s gonna do nothing but campaign for a year and a half and it\u2019s gonna cost a billion dollars to get this guy reelected? Remember, now, this guy was The Messiah. This was The One. All of the earthly problems that we had experienced in the past were going to be rendered obsolete. They weren\u2019t going to exist as problems. <\/p>\n

Believe me, there\u2019s not one thing in this campaign that the Obama administration or the Democrat Party can point to and say, “Give us four more years to do more of this!” There\u2019s not one thing they can do. The only thing they can say is, “You can\u2019t afford the Republicans. These people are going to tear up our brilliant policies that are just now starting to work. We can\u2019t afford to change horses in the middle of the stream. It was much worse than we thought. You don\u2019t dare give it over to these people who don\u2019t care about your grandmother, who don\u2019t care about you. All they care about themselves and Wall Street.” That\u2019s all they can do. They cannot run a positive, agenda-oriented campaign. “You like our work on unemployment? Fine! You like 9%? How about 11? You like the foreclosure rate? How about we double it? <\/p>\n

“You like inflation? How about it gets higher? Do you like the price of gasoline? How about gasoline goes up another buck?” There\u2019s nothing they can say about their agenda or things that have happened: “Give us four more years and we\u2019ll do even better.” Not one thing. I\u2019ll guarantee you, if the sitting president were a Republican with this track record, they would already be writing of the imminent defeat of that candidate no matter who the Democrats nominated as the opponent. I just caution you: Don\u2019t fall prey for this business that Obama\u2019s unbeatable, that he\u2019s above criticism. “We don\u2019t dare be critical of Obama! The historical nature of his presidency is such that we don\u2019t criticize him.” Don\u2019t do any of that. Those days are over. The historical nature and aspect of this has long since settled in, and now he\u2019s president of the United States, and now he is and should be held accountable like any other president would be. All these other surface characteristics notwithstanding. They\u2019re irrelevant. The color of his skin, all of that means nothing — and it shouldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, I want to echo your sentiments about Sarah Palin and Obama being beatable. The GOP and the left are going crazy over Palin\u2019s effect on them, and her unwillingness to go with the flow. So I think ultimately what she\u2019s doing is she\u2019s gonna have to confront the Republicans because if she can get the nomination, Obama is a cakewalk, if it came to that. So her biggest obstacle is gonna be her own party and then RINOs in the GOP.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I don\u2019t think there\u2019s any question about that. I\u2019m not sure that she\u2019s gonna run. I don\u2019t know that that\u2019s what this is about at all. <\/p>\n

CALLER: If she wants, she can do another thing to the media. She can just invite \u2019em all to a Cub game and just walk out and all she\u2019s gotta do is just throw out the first pitch and play that on the nightly news — Obama\u2019s and hers — and I think you got humiliation as a picture right there in front of you, explanation not needed.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Rush. How you doing?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Pretty well, sir. Thanks very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I want to talk about Sarah Palin\u2019s bus trip. You know, I guess you remember how many times Katie Couric waylaid her on the trip when she was running for vice president. Every place she showed up there was Katie Couric getting in her corner when she was in trouble and didn\u2019t have time to move, didn\u2019t have time to answer a question right, trying to trip her up, trying to give her a bad way to go. So she figures, you know, you fool me once, it\u2019s my fault, fool me twice… I mean, you fool me once it\u2019s your fault, fool me twice it\u2019s my fault. She\u2019s showing the other side of the coin now. She\u2019s not telling where she\u2019s gonna be so they can waylay her again.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, I see. Your theory is why she\u2019s not telling them where she\u2019s going?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So they can\u2019t waylay her.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. They got her three or four times on the last run.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you may have a point. I think she\u2019s outlasted Katie Couric. I don\u2019t think Katie Couric\u2019s on the radar. “Katie who?” Katie doesn\u2019t even have a job. Has Katie…? (interruption) Has she finalized that deal? She definitely has a talk show on ABC? Is she The Oprah channel? I don\u2019t know where she\u2019s got a show. I know that\u2019s what she wants, I know she\u2019s a talk show. Don\u2019t know that it\u2019s been finalized. I haven\u2019t seen it. When does it start in 2012? What does her syndicated show start? The bottom line is, Sarah Palin is on her bus travel around with a media convoy following her, and we don\u2019t know where Katie Couric is.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I wanted to respond to the guy that\u2019s waiting for a miracle. If he hadn\u2019t been at Walmart staring at the shopping carts he might have noticed the midterm elections were a miracle. The miracle is ongoing! I\u2019m part of it. I worked phones for conservative candidates. I put out signs. I was a poll watcher, and my wife will tell you: Me doing something for which I\u2019m not paid directly in cash is a miracle.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) I like that. You know, this guy\u2019s call… A lot of you people are angry at this guy, but he has served a purpose. If you needed to be fired up, the guy fired you up. Not saying you needed to be, but if you did need to be, having this guy call here and say, “It\u2019s over! Chicago, media, we can\u2019t win,” that\u2019s all you needed. And I am so happy so many of you are just fit to be tied \u2019cause this guy is exactly right. The miracle is happening. November 2010 is when it started. The midterm elections. Why people can look success in the eye and not see it is amazing to me. But Elwood, you have hit the nail on the head. You\u2019re exactly right. Thanks much for the call.<\/p>\n
