Considering that the largest 10% of the farms get 75% of the subsidies, and that families on farms today account for just 2% of the U.S. population, the figures hardly support the president\u2019s noble words that this will promote farmer independence and preserve the farm way of life for generations. The Democrats ought to oppose this because they oppose tax cuts on the very same basis.<\/line><BR\/>The Democrats say tax cuts aren\u2019t fair &#8211; they\u2019re only for the rich. They say something like 10% of the people are going to get 75% of the tax breaks, and those 75% make up just 2% of the population. You see where we\u2019re going with this?
