RUSH:\u00a0 So, get this.\u00a0 I just checked the e-mail during the break and there\u2019s the usual snark in there.\u00a0 Some comments say, “There you go again, Rush!\u00a0 You\u2019re the one politicizing everything.\u00a0 You\u2019re the one blaming the Democrats.\u00a0 You\u2019re the one claiming the Democrats benefit.”\u00a0 I\u2019m not blaming anybody. I\u2019m citing evidence.\u00a0 I\u2019m producing evidence and citing fact.\u00a0 There\u2019s no question.\u00a0 Take a look at just this incident here.\u00a0 Can we all agree that the shooter is not a Republican.\u00a0 We safely assume the shooter is not a Republican?Could we logically conclude that, if the shooter votes, he votes Democrat?\u00a0 If he votes, can we assume… Based on 93% of the African-American vote goes to the Democrat candidate every four years, can we assume, if he votes, he\u2019s a Democrat?\u00a0 I\u2019m not going any further than that.\u00a0 I\u2019m just trying to set up a premise here, and it is this:\u00a0 When al-Qaeda, when ISIS, when militant Jihadists, when militant Islamists create and perform domestic terrorism, what do the Democrats do?\u00a0 They blame the gun.<\/p>\n

They blame paranoia on the right for describing it as “militant Islamic terrorism.”\u00a0 They will not even call it what it is.\u00a0 Am I wrong to point out that President Obama and the Democrats have sought to blame George W. Bush and Guantanamo Bay and various other aspects of American foreign policy for the existence of Islamic terrorism?\u00a0 Am I right or am I wrong?\u00a0 I\u2019m right.\u00a0 Yet, when this guy… What is his name here? Micah X. Johnson.<\/p>\n

When Micah X. Johnson commits a massacre of police officers in Dallas,<\/a> who gets blamed?\u00a0 Conservatives.\u00a0 Republicans.\u00a0 Donald Trump, for crying out loud!\u00a0 Jesse Jackson and any other number of civil rights activists pop straight up and blame Donald Trump — who just happens to be the presumptive Republican nominee.\u00a0 Other than that, what in the name of Sam Hill does Donald Trump have to do with any of this?\u00a0 Absolutely nothing!<\/p>\n

And yet, when Democrats murder people with guns, Democrats never blame the gun.\u00a0 They blame conservatives.\u00a0 They blame Republicans.\u00a0 It\u2019s astounding.\u00a0 And people let it happen.\u00a0 When a movie theater gets blown up in Colorado, Brian Ross of ABC News, the first things he does is try to find out what?\u00a0 If the shooter happens to be a member of the Tea Party!\u00a0 I wonder, did ABC\u2019s investigative unit try to find out if Micah X. Johnson is a member of the Tea Party?<\/p>\n

Did they try to find out if he\u2019s a member of the new Black Panthers?\u00a0 I guarantee you they didn\u2019t.\u00a0 Did they try to find out if he was a member of Black Lives Matter?\u00a0 Maybe.\u00a0 And would they have found anything wrong with that if they did?\u00a0 Probably not.\u00a0 So don\u2019t tell me in your snarky little e-mails here that I don\u2019t know what I\u2019m talking about.\u00a0 This is purely politicized, and there is a political party that seeks to advance its agenda after every one of these. I\u2019ve got audio sound bites coming up here from prominent Congressional Black Caucasians which will make my point for me.<\/p>\n

I want you to listen to Loretta Lynch.\u00a0 Not only did she say she\u2019s going to investigate this as a hate crime — and, by the way, that just means she\u2019s going to investigate it.\u00a0 We don\u2019t know what she\u2019s going to conclude.\u00a0 She may well conclude it wasn\u2019t a hate crime because Black Lives Matter doesn\u2019t hate!\u00a0 Why, they\u2019ve been commemorated by Barack Obama in an official commemoration ceremony at the White House.\u00a0 Black Lives Matter, two leading members, were said by Obama to be better organizers than he ever was.\u00a0 Here\u2019s the first Loretta Lynch sound bite…<\/p>\n

LYNCH:\u00a0 Americans across our country are feeling a sense of helplessness, of uncertainty and of fear.\u00a0 These feelings are understandable and they are justified.\u00a0 But the answer must not be violence.\u00a0 The answer is never violence.\u00a0 Rather, the answer — our answer, all our answer — must be action.\u00a0 Calm, peaceful, collaborative and determined action.\u00a0 We must continue working to build trust between communities and law enforcement.\u00a0 We must continue working to guarantee every person in this country equal justice under the law.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Now wait for it.\u00a0 Wait for it here…<\/p>\n

LYNCH:\u00a0 We want to take a hard look at the ease with which wrongdoers can get their hands on deadly weapons\u00a0 and the frequency with which they use them.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (chuckle) It\u2019s as predictable as the sun coming up.\u00a0 And here\u2019s the next Loretta Lynch …<\/p>\n

LYNCH:\u00a0 Those who seek to improve our country through peaceful protest and protected speech, I want you to know that your voice is important.\u00a0 Do not be discouraged by those who use your lawful actions as a cover for their heinous violence.\u00a0 We will continue to safeguard your constitutional rights and to work with you in the difficult mission of building a better nation and a brighter future.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 You realize what this is?<\/p>\n

LYNCH:\u00a0 And to all Americans, I ask you, I implore you —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

LYNCH: — do not let this week precipitate a new normal in this country.”<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 You guys have defined a bunch of new normals like economic collapse, joblessness.\u00a0 You realize what she\u2019s saying here?\u00a0 “We will continue to safeguard your constitutional rights to work with you in the difficult mission of building a better nation and brighter future”?\u00a0 She\u2019s telling you, protesters, “We will continue to look out for you.\u00a0 We\u2019re going to continue to protect you protesters!”<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 So Loretta Lynch, press conference, says the answer is never violence.\u00a0 And Obama went out there and condemned violence.\u00a0 But I\u2019m sorry, folks, I think it\u2019s a little too late.\u00a0 I\u2019ll never forget Wayne LaPierre, National Rifle Association, appeared on This Week With David Brinkley back during the Clinton administration.\u00a0 There was a spate of violence and the usual predictable things were going on.\u00a0 The Democrats are running around complaining about guns and mounting new gun-control proposals and measures and so forth.<\/p>\n

Wayne LaPierre, I don\u2019t even remember the question he was asked, but he said that (paraphrasing): “I believe that President Clinton is comfortable with a certain level of violence because it permits him to continue the process of advancing his agenda of convincing people they should give up their guns. That innocent people with guns are the problem in America and more violence, a certain level of it, the president\u2019s comfortable with that.”<\/p>\n

And frankly, folks, I don\u2019t think there\u2019s been any change from Clinton to the president.\u00a0 That\u2019s what I mean by, when you see people trying to benefit from this, to me that\u2019s just sickening.\u00a0 And already, last night we saw the beginnings of that, political benefits.\u00a0 Just the objective, just trying to benefit politically from this.\u00a0 Especially when the people engaging in it are those who claim to love people, who don\u2019t want any loss of life other than in a womb.\u00a0 Loss of life in the womb, that\u2019s acceptable, too.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve got the situation here where any event like this you have the race business hustlers and you have the usual suspects in the Democrat Party surface and say things in such a way as to promote the way they look at things, as though this is something that has happened that proves one of their points that they then are trying to use to advance their agenda.\u00a0 They\u2019re doing it after the loss of life.\u00a0 It just sickens me.\u00a0 It has sickened me for as long as I\u2019ve been aware of how it happens.\u00a0 It sickens me and the more it continues to happen, the greater the sickness.\u00a0 And I know exactly why.<\/p>\n

Look at the police chief of Dallas, African-American.\u00a0 Police chief in Atlanta, African-American.\u00a0 There are more African police chiefs — Baltimore.\u00a0 Prosecutor, African-American.\u00a0 Is it stopping anything?\u00a0 Is it appeasing anybody?\u00a0 Is it helping to convince bad actors, hey, things are changing for the better.\u00a0 There are more African-Americans in positions of power in the police department and on city town councils and in the mayor\u2019s office.\u00a0 Is it stopping any of this, or is it ratcheting up?<\/p>\n

How many of you, how many of you know people who back in 2008 voted for Barack Obama on the premise that this kind of thing would come to an end because voting for a black man and electing him would say once and for all this country is no longer racist?\u00a0 And I could make the case, as you could, that it has gotten worse.\u00a0 And one of the reasons it\u2019s gotten worse is because the expectations, the expectations of African-Americans Obama hasn\u2019t come close to meeting.\u00a0 You know what they thought an election of an African-American was going to mean to them versus what\u2019s happened, that\u2019s a wide gap.<\/p>\n

Not to mention all the other voters who voted for Obama on the basis that doing so would send a signal that there is a declining racist mentality from coast to coast.\u00a0 It just hasn\u2019t worked out.\u00a0 In fact, grab sound bite number seven. I can find gazillions examples of this, but here\u2019s just one of me February 22nd, 2008.\u00a0 This is practically, this is ten months before the election.\u00a0 This is February 22nd, 2008.<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE: “If Obama gets elected president, wouldn\u2019t it be good to just get this done, Rush, then we could end those civil rights squabbles that we\u2019re having?” It wouldn\u2019t do that, folks, it wouldn\u2019t do that. It might even exacerbate them.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And it has, and it has for predictable reasons.\u00a0 And then of course, Loretta Lynch, the answer is never violence. But we have Barack Obama talking about community organizing as president of the United States or as a presidential candidate, I forget which, but he says if they bring a knife you bring a gun, or whatever it was he said.\u00a0 He was clearly indicating that he\u2019s ready to roll.\u00a0 He\u2019s ready to rumble out there in his efforts at community organizing.<\/p>\n

I also had some snarky e-mails that I checked during the break:\u00a0 “You just make it up.\u00a0 Obama never praised Black Lives Matter at the White House.”\u00a0 Well, I have a Breitbart story here, this is from February 21st, 2016.\u00a0 “Obama Thanks Black Lives Matter Leaders for Their ‘Outstanding Work.'”<\/a> It was this year.<\/p>\n

“Flanked by liberal legislators, and Black Lives Matter founders Brittany Packnett and DeRay Mckesson, President Obama told White House meeting of young militant leftists that they ‘are much better organizers\u2019 than he was at their age, and that he is ‘confident that they are going to take America to new heights.'”<\/p>\n

This is just six months ago.\u00a0 Six months ago.\u00a0 Do you remember when Black Lives Matter came into existence?\u00a0 Tell me when?\u00a0 Ferguson.\u00a0 That\u2019s exactly right. Black Lives Matter never existed, nobody\u2019s ever heard of it until Ferguson, Missouri and Michael Brown and hands up, don\u2019t shoot, which didn\u2019t happen.\u00a0 Hands up, don\u2019t shoot never happened.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s video of this massacre in Texas last night with protesters dancing and singing outside the convenience store, saying hands up, don\u2019t shoot.\u00a0 Now, who\u2019s responsible for perpetuating that lie?\u00a0 It literally did not happen, folks.\u00a0 Michael Brown never put his hands up.\u00a0 He never turned his back on the cop.\u00a0 He was not shot in the back.\u00a0 He never said, “My hands are up, don\u2019t shoot.”\u00a0 None of that.\u00a0 None of it happened.\u00a0 Not a single syllable of that happened.\u00a0 It was, in fact, just the opposite.<\/p>\n

The guy ripped off a convenience store, engaged in a little violence against the owner or the clerk at the store, and then threatened the cop who was arresting him for walking in the street, or trying to get him to move back to the sidewalk.\u00a0 The gentle giant, he was just walking down the street on a Saturday afternoon in August, thinking excitedly about his upcoming freshman year in college.\u00a0 Three months later a couple of St. Louis Rams football players, during player introductions, run out of the tunnel with their hands up and waving, reenacting hands up, don\u2019t shoot, which did not happen.<\/p>\n

Now, I\u2019m asking, who perpetuates this lie?\u00a0 I\u2019ll give you a hint.\u00a0 It isn\u2019t the Tea Party.\u00a0 It\u2019s not the Republican Party.\u00a0 It\u2019s not the conservative population in this country.\u00a0 It arguably could be said it\u2019s the civil rights coalitions, the Reverend Jacksons and Al Sharptons.\u00a0 It could be said it\u2019s the Democrat Party, and by all means it\u2019s the media.\u00a0 Without any shred of doubt it\u2019s the media which has perpetuated the hoax. Just like Duke lacrosse rape hoax, so was hands up, don\u2019t shoot a total hoax.\u00a0 And out of that hoax was born Black Lives Matter, much the same as after the Tea Party organically materialized, the Democrats went out and created Occupy Wall Street.<\/p>\n

It was funded.\u00a0 It was organized and manmade.\u00a0 It was not organic.\u00a0 Occupy Wall Street did not spring up out of the ether.\u00a0 It was created by the Democrat Party to counter the Tea Party, which they were scared to death of.\u00a0 They had to make it look like there was a similar or even larger movement that was bigger that disagreed.\u00a0 And that\u2019s what Occupy Wall Street was and Black Lives Matter.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know who the real organizers were and I don\u2019t know who dreamed them up.\u00a0 But they appear right in the middle of the Michael Brown hoax.\u00a0 And what does Black Lives Matter do?<\/p>\n

Black Lives Matter stormed, in one instance, the stage where crazy Bernie was conducting a political rally.\u00a0 Crazy Bernie, why did they storm the stage?\u00a0 Because crazy Bernie made the statement that all lives matter.\u00a0 Uh-uh-uh.\u00a0 And they stormed the stage and they took the microphone away from him.\u00a0 He had committed a gigantic liberal sin, because all lives don\u2019t matter.\u00a0 That is the point of Black Lives Matter.\u00a0 Blue lives don\u2019t matter.\u00a0 All lives don\u2019t matter.\u00a0 Black lives matter.\u00a0 And if you don\u2019t heel to that, they\u2019re going to storm the stage.<\/p>\n

I think they even gave Hillary Clinton some grief when she tried to also make the statement at one point that all lives matter.\u00a0 And who\u2019s out there promoting this and giving them cover and applauding them, but Barack Hussein Obama, who brings them to the White House and praises them as better organizers than even he ever was. He assures everybody that he\u2019s confident that they\u2019re going to take America to new heights, while America is descending to, to a lot of people, new lows.<\/p>\n

As Heather Mac Donald said, this is largely a repeat of the riots of the 1960s.<\/a>\u00a0 But this is different.\u00a0 In my own estimation, it\u2019s different because the \u201960s happened.\u00a0 There\u2019s no question that they happened.\u00a0 But in the \u201960s you didn\u2019t have encouragement and promotion of what was going on from the White House.\u00a0 Back in the \u201960s many of the protests were aimed at the Democrat Party.\u00a0 They tore up the Democrat Convention in 1968.\u00a0 Students for Democratic Society drove Lyndon Johnson out of office over Vietnam.<\/p>\n

I know there\u2019s a Democrat in office of the White House, but they\u2019re not protesting Obama, folks, oh, no way are what they doing related to dissatisfaction with Barack Obama, in no way, shape, manner or form.\u00a0 And we can\u2019t leave out of the equation the old standbys, the Drive-By Media seeing yet another drive-by opportunity with coverage of Black Lives Matter.\u00a0 Anything to advance the agenda that conservatives are racists, that Republicans are racists.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s the attempt that\u2019s being made here today with the Reverend Jackson trying to lay this at the feet of Trump.\u00a0 It\u2019s almost laughable.\u00a0 Donald Trump?\u00a0 Donald Trump is responsible for what happened?\u00a0 Donald Trump?\u00a0 It\u2019s just laughable.\u00a0 And Obama\u2019s in Warsaw, Poland.\u00a0 He says last night: “When people say black lives matter, that doesn\u2019t mean that blue lives don\u2019t matter.”\u00a0 Why does he have to say that?\u00a0 Why does Obama have to remind people, “Hey, just because you say black lives matter, it doesn\u2019t mean that blue lives don\u2019t matter.”\u00a0 It does to the Black Lives Matter group.<\/p>\n

The reason Obama has to go out and say it and clarify it is probably because most rational people understood that when it was said black lives matter and the left promptly shouted down people who said all lives matter that the meaning was only black lives matter.\u00a0 Since that\u2019s what rational people believe, no, black lives matter means only black lives matter.\u00a0 Obama had to go out and assure everyone:\u00a0 No, no, no, blue lives matter, too.\u00a0 And we know what the Black Lives Matter movement represented.\u00a0 It was about so-called white privilege, the sin of being born white.\u00a0 It was about systemic racism, as if this is the 1870s.\u00a0 It was about anger at everyone except those who have made poverty a family tradition in the urban core.<\/p>\n

The Democrats built that.\u00a0 Who benefits from people in poverty, folks.\u00a0 I\u2019m sorry.\u00a0 Somebody does.\u00a0 Don\u2019t sit there.\u00a0 If you want to try to deny that you need to wake up.\u00a0 You don\u2019t think people are benefitting from others being in poverty?\u00a0 You don\u2019t think there are people benefitting from people being dependent?\u00a0 Why are the Democrats so excited to bring in unskilled, low education or no education illegal immigrants?\u00a0 Why are they so excited to bring in people who can\u2019t take care of themselves?\u00a0 Don\u2019t tell me they don\u2019t benefit.\u00a0 And the message gets out.\u00a0 Sure, it does.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I want to go back to the sound bites.\u00a0 Dan Patrick is lieutenant governor of Texas.\u00a0 Let me tell who Dan Patrick is.\u00a0 Dan Patrick used to own a radio station outside Houston in Tomball, Texas.\u00a0 And Dan Patrick took this radio show in our first couple or three years out.\u00a0 We were busy sweating out the growth of the station, trying to find affiliates all across the country to carry it.\u00a0 He stepped forward and I got to know him.\u00a0 We ended up doing a bunch of trips down to Houston.<\/p>\n

He was heavily involved in sports in addition to owning the station.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know if he had been an athlete or not or if he had been a sports journalist.\u00a0 But at the time I met him he was covering the Oilers and a mutual friend there, ran into him a couple of times on road trips with Houston Oilers back in the Bum Phillips days.\u00a0 I mean, there\u2019s nothing better.\u00a0 Bum Phillips and the Houston Oilers, love you blue.<\/p>\n

Even though I\u2019m a Steelers fan, they were great rivals in those.<\/p>\n

But Dan Patrick has been a good, solid citizen, devout Christian for as long as I\u2019ve known him.\u00a0 Radio station owner.\u00a0 And it got to the point where it wasn\u2019t enough for him to just have a radio station that featured programs that talked about these things.\u00a0 He actually ran for office and he\u2019s now the lieutenant governor.\u00a0 He was very high up in the Ted Cruz presidential campaign in the organization.<\/p>\n

He was just on television moments ago on Outnumbered.\u00a0 This is the Fox show with four women and one guy, and they call the guy outnumbered.\u00a0 And Harris Faulkner was chatting with Dan Patrick, said:\u00a0 “First of all, what help, as lieutenant governor of Texas, what help are you getting and what help do you need down there?”<\/p>\n

PATRICK:\u00a0 These were officers last night, many of them never had a chance, never knew what hit them, shot in the back.\u00a0 And I do blame people on social media with their hatred towards police.\u00a0 I do blame — I saw Jesse Jackson, I think it was on Fox the other night, calling police racists without any facts.\u00a0 I do blame former Black Lives Matter protests.\u00a0 Last night was peaceful, but others have not been and we\u2019ve heard the pigs in a blanket.\u00a0 This has got to stop, Harris, these are real people.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 In fact, some people have been sharing with me some of the social media comments from African-Americans.\u00a0 It\u2019s not pretty.\u00a0 It\u2019s not pretty out there.\u00a0 Let me give you an example.<\/p>\n

“My hero, Micah X. Johnson.”<\/p>\n

“An American hero, Micah X. Johnson.”<\/p>\n

“Yeah, it\u2019s lit in Dallas.\u00a0 F-@!$% the pigs.”<\/p>\n

Dan Patrick says it\u2019s all over the place out there and whatever garbage is being retweeted.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Here\u2019s more Dan Patrick who continued with his comments here on social media, Jesse Jackson and the provocateurs.<\/p>\n

PATRICK: All of these officers, as has been said last night, lost their lives protecting people who were protesting against them.\u00a0 Too many in the general public, who aren\u2019t criminals but have a big mouth, are creating situations like we saw last night.\u00a0 All those protesters last night, they ran the other way expecting the men and women in blue to turn around and protect them.\u00a0 What hypocrites.\u00a0 And I understand the First Amendment.\u00a0 I understand freedom of speech, and I defend it.\u00a0 It is in our Constitution and it is in our soul, but you can\u2019t go out on social media and mainstream media and everywhere else and say that the police are racist, that the police are hateful, that the police are killers.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 They can and they do, and it\u2019s being protected under the First Amendment, of course.\u00a0 But he\u2019s got a great point here.\u00a0 This protest last night was peaceful.\u00a0 And then the massacre began and the protesters began to flee and expected the cops to protect them.\u00a0 And what are they there protesting?\u00a0 They\u2019re protesting the people they turn to for protection.\u00a0 The cops know that, by the way.\u00a0 They do not shirk from their responsibilities even in the face of this hypocrisy.<\/p>\n

Another point that Heather Mac Donald was making about the quality of people who are the police in this country, that they are very much on balance, solid people.\u00a0 In next bite, Harris Faulkner, another question for Dan Patrick, lieutenant governor of Texas.\u00a0 “What do you need, lieutenant governor, from a high level?\u00a0 We heard from the president.\u00a0 We heard from the AG, Loretta Lynch.\u00a0 What do you need from the Feds?”<\/p>\n

PATRICK:\u00a0 I was a little disappointed with Loretta Lynch\u2019s comments blending in too many issues.\u00a0 Can we talk about five people who were killed last night here, just focus on their lives and families.\u00a0 We need a president who will stand up and focus on the police, the law enforcement, the men and women, black, brown, white, Asian officers all together who are protecting us, and let\u2019s focus on them.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 How does that work?\u00a0 Let\u2019s go back to Fox on Wednesday night, a couple of nights ago.\u00a0 Megyn Kelly had as her guest the Reverend Jackson and she said:\u00a0 “Can you tar these officers –” this is before last night happened. She\u2019s talking about Louisiana and Minneapolis “– can you tar these officers with prior cases that they had nothing to do with, ascribe motives to them?\u00a0 Their defenders say they were scared, that somebody said he had a gun pointed at him.”<\/p>\n

JACKSON:\u00a0 Actually, the force was excessive.\u00a0 It was unnecessary and it was deadly.\u00a0 The only reasonable justification of police shooting someone is that they are threatened themselves.\u00a0 Not hearsay, not they say.\u00a0 They killed this man.\u00a0 And when I grew up it, it was white sheets and covered faces.\u00a0 Now it\u2019s audaciously blue uniforms.\u00a0 It is a pattern.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Say, folks, this one candidate, by the way, who practically every appearance praises the police — there\u2019s one candidate in this presidential campaign, goes out of his way every appearance to acknowledge the police, to thank the police, to ask everybody to express their gratitude to the police.\u00a0 You know who that candidate is?\u00a0 That would be the Trumpster.\u00a0 Listen to Jesse Jackson this morning on the BBC.\u00a0 BBC Radio 4.\u00a0 Jesse Jackson and the BBC\u2019s Justin Webb.<\/p>\n

JACKSON: (trying to sound British) It\u2019s not just the police. Th… There is a rage race. It\u2019s a kind of anti-black mood, uh, anti-sss — anti-Semitism, anti-Muslim bashing, immigrant bashing, female bashing. There\u2019s a kind of mean-spirited division in the country and this is one manifestation of — of the divide. Justin<\/p>\n

WEBB: But you\u2019re saying that things have become worse because of that mood, and that mood is obviously very much a-a-apparent in American politics at the moment. You\u2019re — you\u2019re saying that — that this thing that has been going on for so long has been worsened in recent times by that.<\/p>\n

JACKSON: Well, the — the — the poison of the rhetoric, uhh, has had a devastating impact.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 All right. Okay. Sooooo, is there anything else you want to add to this, Reverend Jackson?<\/p>\n

JACKSON: (trying to sound British) When you attack, threaten to deport 15 million immigrants — undocumented but who work — you threaten to build a wall between us and Mexico, with whom we share 2000 miles of border. The permissiveness toward violence against black people is readily apparent and we\u2019ve been used as scapegoats for deeper, I think — deeper — economic and cultural fears. But we\u2019re not the cause of them.<\/p>\n

WEBB: You\u2019re putting it at the feet of Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

JACKSON: Well he is — he is a — he\u2019s a factor of that. But it\u2019s not just Trump! It\u2019s the followers of Trump who really believe that somehow that — that they have lost to blacks or browns or Muslims. They\u2019ve lost.<\/p>\n
