RUSH: “A police union official says four off-duty Minneapolis officers working a WNBA game walked off the job at the city\u2019s Target Center arena Saturday after Minnesota Lynx players wore pregame warm-up jerseys supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. The shirts listed the names of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling, both fatally shot by police officers last week. Castile was killed by a police officer in suburban St. Paul during a traffic stop. The shirt also showed the Dallas police shield above the phrase ‘Black Lives Matter.'”<\/p>\n

The interesting thing here is the police union. “Minneapolis Police Federation President Bob Kroll tells the Minneapolis Star-Tribune he commends the officers.” The union\u2019s a bunch of leftists, too.\u00a0 I mean, they are unions.\u00a0 It still happened. Washington Post: “Obama tells police…” By the way, Hillary in her speech today was basically just carrying Obama\u2019s water that he had already spilled, if you will.<\/p>\n

“Obama spent [yesterday] preparing to address the nation at a Tuesday memorial service in Dallas for five slain police officers and meeting with advocates at the White House…\u00a0 The president met for nearly two hours with leaders of eight law enforcement groups Monday, informing them that he considered the killing of the five police officers in Dallas on Thursday ‘a hate crime…'”\u00a0 Headline: “Obama Tells Police: ‘I Am Your Best Hope\u2019 for Relations with Communities of Color.”\u00a0<\/a> Obama said “that he would work actively to serve as an intermediary between minority activists and police.<\/p>\n

“‘I\u2019m your best hope,\u2019 Obama remarked at one point, according to the Fraternal Order of Police\u2019s James O. Pasco, one of the meeting\u2019s attendees.” Well, then God help the police.\u00a0 If Obama\u2019s… When\u2019s the last time Obama said… You know, I saw this before. I said, “He said this before. ” Do you remember the last time he said this? It may not be the last time.\u00a0 It may have been probably the first time, first time Obama said something like this. Remember when…? I forget the name of the protest group.<\/p>\n

It might have been Occupy Wall Street, now that I think about it. They were protesting on the front lawns of AIG executives and other Wall Street firms in suburban New York up in Connecticut and so forth.\u00a0 What did Obama say to them? “I\u2019m the only thing standing between you and the people with their pitchforks.”\u00a0 Something like that.\u00a0 I\u2019m paraphrasing that, but do you remember that?\u00a0 Obama told these AIG people — and he was ripping them. He was trashing them. He was ripping into their bonuses. They didn\u2019t deserve it!<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m the only thing separating you from these peasants with their pitchforks storming your neighborhoods.” (interruption) Well, maybe the… (interruption) Dodd-Frank?\u00a0 I guess. Maybe they were pushing Dodd-Frank.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 Doesn\u2019t matter what they were trying to get pushed.\u00a0 The fact that… Here\u2019s Obama holding himself out, “You know, I\u2019m your best hope.”\u00a0 In other words, all this stuff is legitimate.\u00a0 “You AIG people.\u00a0 These people want to storm your yard! It\u2019s legitimate.\u00a0 I\u2019m the only guy who can stop them!<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m the only guy. I\u2019m your only protector. I\u2019m the only guy that can talk \u2019em down.” Now he\u2019s telling the cops, “‘I\u2019m Your Best Hope\u2019 for Relations with Communities of Color.”\u00a0 Really?\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 What\u2019s common? What are we all gonna unify around? What are we all gonna stand together for or about?\u00a0 Well, I say, “God help the police,” \u2019cause it seems to me like Obama and his minions have been doing everything they can to whip up hatred against the cops.\u00a0 We can\u2019t deny this.\u00a0 I know it\u2019s not politically correct to say it.<\/p>\n

But Obama, he\u2019s clearly been saying things and acting out as though he, too, is a person with a grievance against the cops.\u00a0 And in that way, he establishes a commonality with these people who are protesting them.\u00a0 You can\u2019t deny that he does that.\u00a0 He\u2019s got the politics of grievance down pat.\u00a0 It\u2019s one of his identifying markers.\u00a0 Then Biden jumped in with something.\u00a0 Biden was at this meeting, too.\u00a0 What did Biden say?<\/p>\n

Biden said something. I\u2019m coming up on a break and I\u2019m trying to find it here before I will.\u00a0 I don\u2019t have time to.\u00a0 Biden said something along the lines… You know, after Obama says, “I\u2019m your best hope,” Biden says, “Maybe you guys didn\u2019t hear what he said.\u00a0 Maybe you weren\u2019t listening carefully enough to what Obama said,” or some such thing.\u00a0 But Obama doesn\u2019t have a track record unifying people, folks.\u00a0 He just doesn\u2019t.\u00a0 I wish it weren\u2019t the case.\u00a0 I really wish none of this stuff was going on.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 One of the things that Biden did… This is a Neil Munro story at Breitbart. “Obama Tells Cops in White House Meeting Their Police Forces Are Racist.<\/a> — ‘And he said, “But you also have to recognize that there is still institutional discrimination. That doesn\u2019t just exist in policing. It exists in many other areas, hiring, housing, etc. And you… Well, maybe we, the law enforcement organization, should reach out and say, look, we understand why you may be concerned [about how we deal with you], but here\u2019s — let\u2019s have a conversation.”‘”<\/p>\n

But Police forces are racist. That\u2019s what Obama\u2019s telling you.\u00a0 Biden.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: So I did check the emails during the break, and, as I knew would happen, I get the usual snark, “What do you mean Obama promotes the politics of grievance?”\u00a0 Look, folks, you know, I really don\u2019t mind debating issues, but debating facts is a waste of time.\u00a0 And you and I know how Obama does this.\u00a0 It happened with Skip Gates.\u00a0 I could run down a roster of things where this is what happens.<\/p>\n

The first reports of an episode happen and Obama\u2019s instinct, the first thing he says about whatever event that just happened, is always going to be tainted by his instinct, which is racial grievance.\u00a0 And then when we learn later that that had nothing to do with what had happened, I can give you movie theater shoot-ups, any of these events, the Fort Hood thing, anything. Obama, his first reaction is always going to parallel those who have a sense of grievance about things where race is involved.<\/p>\n

And then after the facts are known, Obama doesn\u2019t go back and clean it up.\u00a0 Sometimes he does, but he never does so in the sense that he\u2019s correcting himself.\u00a0 His instincts betray him.\u00a0 And I\u2019m just saying it\u2019s not unifying.\u00a0 And I don\u2019t think Obama\u2019s trying to be unifying.\u00a0 I think Obama stands with people he thinks have been given the shaft ever since this country was founded.\u00a0 I think his objective is to even the playing field, as he defines it.\u00a0 And the way he does it is to transfer discrimination from one group to the next, rather than end it.<\/p>\n

His prescription is payback.\u00a0 And that\u2019s what we\u2019re all getting here.\u00a0 And by the way, I\u2019m not even gonna grant the assumption the payback is justified or warranted.\u00a0 I think a convoluted view of this stuff has polluted a lot of this.\u00a0 But this is where we are.\u00a0 There\u2019s nothing unifying that\u2019s going on here.\u00a0 There\u2019s nothing in common we can all stand up for and hold hands and unify around.\u00a0 That\u2019s just not on tap here.\u00a0 The Democrat Party doesn\u2019t have any interest in that.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Thank you, Rush.\u00a0 I find it alarming and disturbing that nobody is discussing the fact that a city police department and a county police department had plastic explosives and blasting caps in its arsenal.\u00a0 Now, here\u2019s what I think is going on.\u00a0 I think that the federal government, by bulking up these police departments with military-style equipment and then by trying to nationalize them — or by nationalizing the police departments — they will have a military-style force within the borders of the United States. Because the federal government cannot use the military within the borders of the United States.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Except when they do, yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Except for the National Guard, that\u2019s true.\u00a0 But now you have these military-style police departments, which are being taken over by the DOJ, and I believe what they want to do is by putting them under the umbrella of, oh, Homeland Security, that now we have a military-style —<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Let me see if… We\u2019re running short on time.\u00a0 My guess is that if you kept talking I would eventually hear you mention martial law.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Well, I would say we\u2019re pretty close to it if… I mean, we\u2019re screwed.\u00a0 Ha.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 And you think that the secret to this is unlocked by the fact that they used plastic explosives and a robot to blow up the perp?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 I have no clue as to what a police department — city police department or a county sheriff — would need with plastic explosives in their arsenal.\u00a0 It just boggles my mind and nobody is even discussing this.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Some people would say, Randall, “Now you do.”\u00a0 I mean, this guy had just… He was a sniper, killed five cops, wounded 11.\u00a0 They don\u2019t want to lose anybody else. So send a robot up there and blow the guy up.
