They\u2019re mad at Bernie for pulling out. They\u2019re mad at Bernie for selling out.\u00a0 Bernie supporters never did understand what Bernie was there for.\u00a0 They never did understand that Bernie was never gonna be the nominee.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0k94Ww12U50\" width=\"585\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Bernie Sanders supporters either didn\u2019t believe it when they were told or they didn\u2019t consider it, but they were never, ever aware that Bernie Sanders was never gonna be allowed to be the nominee of the Democrat Party.\u00a0 They bought it hook, line, and sinker that he had a chance. He was winning all those primaries and he was not getting the delegates and they were getting fit to be tied, and they are not happy on a number of levels.\u00a0 And it shows up in these battleground state polls.<\/p>\n<p>Anti-Hillary Democrats are rising in number.\u00a0 You know, we acknowledge there are anti-Trump Republicans.\u00a0 We know that.\u00a0 I mean, there\u2019s still a faction of them trying to deny Trump the nomination at the convention.\u00a0 I\u2019m not kidding.\u00a0 You\u2019re probably aware of this.\u00a0 There\u2019s some Never Trumpers out there now trying to talk John Kasich into accepting the Republican nomination if they can find a way to run a coup to keep Trump from getting the nomination.<\/p>\n<p>We know that there are some anti-Trump Republicans, but nobody ever stopped to think that there were a serious contingent of anti-Hillary Democrats, but there are.\u00a0 And, according to this polling data, there may be more, expressed as a percentage.\u00a0 There may be a greater number of anti-Hillary Democrats than there are anti-Trump Republicans.\u00a0 But there\u2019s a bunch of things that need to be said to put this in perspective, not just give you the polling data raw, because how we got there is fascinating in and of itself.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Just last week, ladies and gentlemen, I, your host, was accused of being in something called &#8220;Data Denial Syndrome.&#8221;\u00a0 I was accused, along with Newt Gingrich and countless others, of being in Data Denial Syndrome, meaning that I was one of them who refused to believe the polls when the polls presented news that I disagreed with.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_124808\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Rush-Data-Denial-C.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/>And this was bad! It is very, very, very bad to suffer from Data Denial Syndrome.\u00a0 It think it was me. It was Romney.\u00a0 I forget who else. But there were three of us prominently mentioned as suffering from Data Denial Syndrome, and it was about polling data that showed Trump just getting his clock cleaned by Hillary.\u00a0 &#8220;The Donald and his supporters are running out of time to face this reality. The election is four months away,&#8221; and Limbaugh and others who have yet to recover from Data Denial Syndrome, refuse to admit the truth, that Trump\u2019s a disaster, that Hillary is pulling ahead, that Trump is not even doing anything to close the gap.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And they cited how I was one of many who didn\u2019t believe the 2012 polls.\u00a0 And I cop to that.\u00a0 I had my reasons.\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 So just last week, I\u2019m lumped in a group suffering Data Denial Syndrome because I won\u2019t accept &#8220;the reality&#8221; that Trump is losing and losing big and that Hillary is pulling ahead.\u00a0 The polling data was very clear and these people in Data Denial Syndrome, they look at the polling data, and if it doesn\u2019t suit \u2019em, they won\u2019t believe it.\u00a0 Accompanied to that was: These kind of people are not helpful to you.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, fine.<\/p>\n<p>So where we are today?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2016\/07\/12\/nbc_poll_shows_hillary_slipping\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_124811\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/HillaryPoll_Comey-B.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a>There\u2019s a story from July 1st.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/politics\/articles\/2016-07-01\/clinton-spending-roughly-500-000-a-day-on-tv-ads-trump-zero\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Bloomberg: Clinton Spending Roughly $500,000 a Day on TV Ads, Trump Zero.&#8221;<\/a> The Story goes on to say how Hillary is cleaning Trump\u2019s clock. Trump isn\u2019t even campaigning! He\u2019s talking about himself and a &#8220;Mexican&#8221; judge.\u00a0 He\u2019s not even campaigning.\u00a0 Hillary\u2019s pulling ahead.\u00a0 Hillary\u2019s spending all this money.\u00a0 Trump doesn\u2019t have a chance.\u00a0 Story from today: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/blogs\/swing-states-2016-election\/2016\/07\/trump-has-edge-in-key-states-225442\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Swing-State Stunner: Trump Has Edge in Key States.&#8221;<\/a> Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio.\u00a0 (Gasp!)\u00a0 Hillary is losing ground in key swing states? Despite Trump having no money, no apparent campaign?\u00a0 Now, what am I to do, since I suffer Data Denial Syndrome?<\/p>\n<p>Am I supposed to not believe this \u2019cause it\u2019s different now than it was a couple of weeks ago?<\/p>\n<p>What, am I to do?<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 No, no.\u00a0 The point is that two weeks ago the experts said that it was over for Trump.\u00a0 The polls said so! Hillary was pulling ahead. I was accused of being a &#8220;data denier.&#8221;\u00a0 Now two weeks later, Hillary is falling, and Trump is gaining on her in swing states.\u00a0 What about the people that two weeks ago said this wasn\u2019t gonna be the case \u2019cause of the polling data?<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, I want to go through this one more time because two weeks ago you remember there was devastating polling data. Hillary Clinton was pulling ahead. In one poll she was up by 11, and another poll she was up by six.<\/p>\n<p>And she was spending all this money, and she was on a roll, and she was running ads &#8212; millions of dollars\u2019 worth of ads &#8212; and amplified by free runs of the ads in addition to what was being purchased and paid for. It was all focused on how Trump doesn\u2019t have the temperament and how Trump\u2019s not qualified.\u00a0 What was Trump doing?\u00a0 Nothing!\u00a0 Trump\u2019s out there talking about himself, saying, &#8220;I&#8230; I&#8230; I&#8230;&#8221; Doing this, this, this. &#8220;Wall, wall, wall,&#8221; and wasn\u2019t talking about Hillary. He did not zero in on her on the FBI investigation of emails, didn\u2019t talk about it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_124829\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/HillaryTrump-B.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/>People are pulling their hair out. My God, remember even had that piece, is Trump actually not want to win this?\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcclatchydc.com\/opinion\/article88823407.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Is Trump Actually Trying to Get Hillary Elected?&#8221;\u00a0<\/a> There was genuine panic out there.\u00a0 And in the midst of this, there was a piece&#8230; I forget who wrote it.\u00a0 I don\u2019t even remember where it ran.\u00a0 I remember talking about it. It accused me and Newt and Romney and others of being in data denial, meaning: We would look at polling data unfavorable to our desires, and we would choose not to believe it, and that was not good.<\/p>\n<p>It was damaging. When you don\u2019t look at the polls and trust what they say &#8212; when you think the polls are wrong and you tell your audience the polls are wrong &#8212; you\u2019re doing a disservice.\u00a0 &#8220;We all must believe the polls,&#8221; was the message.\u00a0 And I was in data denial, dating all the way back to the 2012 presidential race.\u00a0 And I admit to being in data denial then.\u00a0 Okay, so, given that, given that two weeks ago it was over&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget the tone of those stories.\u00a0 We had Republicans, we had conservatives wringing their hands. &#8220;Oh, my God, it\u2019s over! Oh, God, Hillary\u2019s pulling away! Oh, no. Trump\u2019s not even trying! Oh, God! Trump\u2019s not even campaigning! Oh, jeez, what are we gonna do?&#8221; And there were stories about a coup and who knows what else.\u00a0 Just two weeks ago, it was over, and the people telling us this were looking at polling data and telling us, &#8220;You better believe it. It\u2019s over.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Well, I don\u2019t know if they said, &#8220;It\u2019s over,&#8221; but it\u2019s looking bad and it doesn\u2019t seem to be any way Trump can recover.\u00a0 He might get a bump out of his convention, but that won\u2019t last.\u00a0 I mean, it was doom and gloom this time two weeks ago.\u00a0 So now&#8230; There was another story about two weeks ago on July 1st. &#8220;Bloomberg:\u00a0 Clinton Spending Roughly $500,000 a Day on TV Ads, Trump Zero &#8212; The data offers a first glimpse into Clinton\u2019s general election advertising strategy as well as her campaign\u2019s view of the 2016 electoral map.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>These are spots that she was running with all the money that Trump wasn\u2019t answering. He wasn\u2019t addressing. He wasn\u2019t running his own ads, wasn\u2019t doing anything. It was doom and gloom all over the place in Trump Central.\u00a0 The Hillary ads were being run in Ohio and Florida. &#8220;Swing states! Oh, my God, Hillary\u2019s gonna wrap it up, right?\u00a0 Oh, my God! Oh, God! Trump\u2019s losing! Oh, God, no &#8212; and Limbaugh\u2019s out there denying the data!&#8221; So that\u2019s two weeks ago.\u00a0 Listen to the story today.<\/p>\n<p>July 13th, Politico: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/blogs\/swing-states-2016-election\/2016\/07\/trump-has-edge-in-key-states-225442\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Swing State Stunner: Trump Has Edge in Key States.&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0 (Gasp!)\u00a0 Pull quote: &#8220;In the poll release, the school suggested&#8230;&#8221; It\u2019s a Quinnipiac poll.\u00a0 By the way, the Quinnipiac poll, there\u2019s another story here that says the Quinnipiac poll is &#8220;the&#8221; poll now. The Quinnipiac poll is the gold standard of polls.\u00a0 It\u2019s considered to be &#8220;the&#8221; poll.\u00a0 If you want to trust a poll out there, trust Quinnipiac.\u00a0 Okay, fine.\u00a0 What does it say?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_124830\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/HillaryThought-Bubbles.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/>It says that &#8220;the investigation could have played a role, pointing to other lingering questions about Clinton\u2019s honesty and trustworthiness. &#8216;While there is no definite link between Clinton\u2019s drop in Florida and the U.S. Justice Department decision not to prosecute her for her handling of emails,\u2019 Quinnipiac pollster &#8230; said, &#8216;she has lost ground to Trump on questions which measure moral standards and honesty.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Politico story on this is written in sheer panic. &#8220;Did Donald Trump really just surge past Hillary Clinton in two of the election\u2019s most important battlegrounds?&#8221;\u00a0 Oh, my God! Oh, no!\u00a0 &#8220;New swing-state polls released Wednesday by Quinnipiac University show Trump leading Clinton in Florida and Pennsylvania &#8212; and tied in &#8230; Ohio.&#8221; Well, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.\u00a0 What about two weeks ago when I was in data denial and they were telling us that Trump had lost it?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Oh, my God, it\u2019s over! Trump\u2019s losing ground. There\u2019s no way he can gain this back.\u00a0 Hillary\u2019s running all these ads.&#8221;\u00a0 See, people are looking at this through the traditional, professional political prism, which I have warned people you can\u2019t do with Trump.\u00a0 There\u2019s just no way to plug Trump into this traditional paradigm that everybody uses to judge these things, and the proof is right here.\u00a0 Trump hasn\u2019t spend a nickel.\u00a0 Hillary has spent a million dollars slamming Trump, and she has lost ground because of the news of the day, the FBI investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Plus the overall impression of her that she\u2019s it is not honest and not trustworthy.\u00a0 And that perception precedes the arrival of Trump.\u00a0 Hillary has baggage galore that she brings into this race. Regardless what Trump does with it, it\u2019s there.\u00a0 And we had the whole scenario yesterday where Bernie basically gets out and endorses her, and his supporters are not happy at all, and we have come to find out in further polling data that there is a huge percentage of anti-Hillary Democrats out there.<\/p>\n<p>There were never anti-Bill Clinton Democrats.\u00a0 You couldn\u2019t find enough anti-Obama Democrats to put in a phone booth when there were phone booths.\u00a0 But there\u2019s more anti-Hillary Democrats than there are anti-Trump Republicans.\u00a0 And the Drive-Bys don\u2019t understand it.\u00a0 And they can\u2019t deny the data; they\u2019re the ones writing stories about data deniers and how it\u2019s really wrong to do that.\u00a0 So now they\u2019ve got this polling data that they hate, but they can\u2019t deny it, if they are to remain consistent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The race is so close that it\u2019s within the margin of error in each of the three states. Trump leads by three points in Florida &#8212; the closest state in the 2012 election &#8212; 42% to 39%.&#8221; Oh, my God! Oh, my God! &#8220;In Ohio, the race is tied, 41% to 41%. And in Pennsylvania &#8212; which hasn\u2019t voted for a Republican presidential nominee since 1988 &#8212; Trump leads, 43% to 41%. Clinton\u2019s campaign responded to the surveys by cautioning that while the swing states were always expected to be close, the urgent stakes of a possible Trump election remain high.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_124831\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/HillaryServerWhy.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/>Oh, really now?\u00a0 &#8220;[T]he swing states were always expected to be close&#8221;? No, they weren\u2019t.\u00a0 Two weeks ago they weren\u2019t gonna be close.\u00a0 Two weeks ago, it was over.\u00a0 Two weeks ago, Hillary was running all these ads just like at politics manual says you have to do, and she was targeting Trump and she was saying, &#8220;Trump\u2019s unfit! He doesn\u2019t have the right temperament. He doesn\u2019t have the qualifications. He\u2019s a basic reprobate.&#8221; It was supposed to kill him, supposed to doom him, supposed to end his campaign.<\/p>\n<p>What was Trump doing?<\/p>\n<p>Nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody could find him.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s out there talking about himself, talking about the judge. Whatever he was doing, he wasn\u2019t talking about the FBI story, wasn\u2019t talking about Comey. A couple of tweets here and there, but he wasn\u2019t hitting Hillary on it, and look what happened.\u00a0 I\u2019m telling you, there is sheer panic out there in the Drive-By Media.\u00a0 So now we get this story from Fox Five New York, not Fox News.\u00a0 This is the Fox affiliate New York City, Channel 5.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox5ny.com\/news\/172830864-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Election Polling at a Crossroads?\u00a0 Why Polling May Be on the Cusp of Big Changes.&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0 Ho-ho-ho-ho.\u00a0 See how this works?\u00a0 You have your traditional manual of how to elect candidates, and it involves hiring the right consultants who will go out and relate with the right lobbyists, and they\u2019ll buy the right advertising and they\u2019re put together the right campaign, and they\u2019ll run roughshod over your opponent.\u00a0 And whatever they buy, they get 15% commission.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s how they earn their living, the consultants.\u00a0 And the more money you have and the more money you spend and the more trash you get out on your opponent, the better you win.\u00a0 Like Jeb Bush and the $115 million he spent to get six delegates.\u00a0 So now that the formula doesn\u2019t seem to be working&#8230; Hillary\u2019s running millions of dollars\u2019 worth of ads targeting Trump as a reprobate and a heathen and who knows whatever else. She\u2019s losing ground big time.<\/p>\n<p>Trump is gaining ground.\u00a0 Trump\u2019s not gaining ground as fast as she\u2019s losing it, though, gotta be honest about that.\u00a0 These polling numbers show that he\u2019s not gaining ground as fast as she\u2019s losing it; he\u2019s still trickling upwards, if you can trickle upward.\u00a0 But all of a sudden now: &#8220;Why polling may be on the cusp of big changes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Yes, you see, when polling will no longer serve our purposes, why, we have to come out with a story that basically is how polling is changing.\u00a0 And the upshot of this story is this.\u00a0 &#8220;Some say political polling itself is at a crossroads. &#8230; Pollsters used to be able to use automatic dialers to quickly connect with people on their home phone. But the rise of cell phones has made traditional scientific polling much tougher to do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Aw, poor babies.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_124861\" class=\"img_right\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/53139752_large.jpg\" align=\"right\" \/>&#8220;A 1991 law called the Telephone Consumer Protection Act made it illegal for pollsters to use automatic dialers to call people on their cell phones. That added time, coupled with what Rutgers Public Policy professor Cliff Zukin has said is a rapidly declining response rate and the cost of traditional telephone polling has shot up. &#8216;It\u2019s gotten maybe 3 or 4 times as expensive as it used to be just two elections ago,\u2019 Zukin said.&#8221; Which is probably why some of the polls were so wrong about Romney.\u00a0 It\u2019s all become a matter of waiting and guesswork.\u00a0 I mean computer models, I\u2019m sorry, like they use in global warming\/climate change.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And while many see all this amounting to a death warrant for traditional telephone polling &#8211;&#8221; Note that it\u2019s only a death warrant because all of a sudden Hillary is supposed to have built on that 11-point lead, don\u2019t you see?\u00a0 Two weeks ago, 11-point lead, six-point lead, depending on the poll, Trump doing nothing, Hillary spending millions.\u00a0 Why, she was supposed to continue shooting up, but she\u2019s not.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And while many see all this amounting to a death warrant for traditional telephone polling,&#8221; meaning we can\u2019t rely on our polls to produce the outcome that we want.\u00a0\u00a0 Doug Schwartz, the director of the Quinnipiac poll, one of the most well-known, now proclaimed to be the gold standard, said, &#8220;You know, polls up to this point using telephones have\u00a0 been very accurate and we see no reason to stop doing it. I don\u2019t see any problem with the way traditional telephones are doing what we\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If we weren\u2019t calling people on their cell phones &#8211; we\u2019d have a huge problem. We would be underrepresenting young people,&#8221; but we\u2019re calling them. We\u2019re getting hold of people on their cell phones. We\u2019re getting to touch base with them and they\u2019re telling us what they think.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On a typical weeknight all 150 stations at Quinnipiac\u2019s polling center are filled with pollsters making calls and conducting surveys.&#8221; So the poll that is now reputed to be the gold standard said, &#8220;We\u2019re not have any problems.&#8221;\u00a0 And it\u2019s that poll which shows Hillary leaking severely against all odds.\u00a0 So here\u2019s old Rush, the old data denier himself, not believing the stuff two weeks ago.\u00a0 He-he-he-he-he-he-he.<\/p>\n<p>Okay.\u00a0 Let\u2019s go to the audio sound bites.\u00a0 Top of the list, start at number one because there\u2019s a freak-out over this in the Drive-By Media.\u00a0 We\u2019ll start on Good Morning America.\u00a0 George Stephanopoulos speaking with ABC News political analyst Matthew Dowd.\u00a0 Matthew Dowd used to be a Republican consultant, analyst, what have you, back during the Bush years. He\u2019s a moderate Republican, but now he feels dirty, I guess.\u00a0 He\u2019s basically become a centrist. Well, he always was one.\u00a0 But now he\u2019s signed up with the Drive-Bys, for all intents and purposes.\u00a0 So just run these two back-to-back, Stephanopoulos and Matthew Dowd number one and two.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_124828\" class=\"img_middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/StephNEWSTEPH.jpg\" align=\"middle\" \/>STEPHANOPOULOS:\u00a0 Let\u2019s get to those new Quinnipiac polls out this morning.\u00a0 Probably the most surprising is that big flip in the state of Florida over the last month, eight point Hillary Clinton lead, now a deficit.\u00a0 What do you think is going on?<\/p>\n<p>DOWD:\u00a0 Something\u2019s moved in the country over the course of the last few weeks.\u00a0 I think it had a lot to do with the FBI director\u2019s press conference and then the hearing.\u00a0 That has affected her trust numbers which have always been problematic.\u00a0 This is a huge problem for Hillary Clinton.\u00a0 It looks like she has a national lead, but in the electoral states she is either tied or behind in them, and so it sets up a scenario where she could win the popular vote but lose the electoral college.\u00a0 It\u2019s concerning.<\/p>\n<p>STEPHANOPOULOS:\u00a0 This is even before the Republican convention next week?<\/p>\n<p>DOWD:\u00a0 Yes, George, it\u2019s before the convention and it\u2019s before Donald Trump\u2019s vice presidential announcement which will give him an added bump.\u00a0 This should be a concerning thing to Hillary and her campaign.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Wait a minute.\u00a0 Two weeks ago it was over, two weeks ago Trump &#8212; oh, I don\u2019t need to repeat myself.\u00a0 But now in the battleground states, oh, no.\u00a0 Oh, jeez.\u00a0 What are we all going to do?\u00a0 We just excoriated a bunch of people for being data deniers, which means these people can\u2019t go out and deny this data without being hypocrites, except that they are.<\/p>\n<p>CBS This Morning, New York Times Magazine, chief national correspondent Mark Leibovich talking with Charlie Rose, who said, &#8220;How do you assess the tightening of the race in these swing states, Quinnipiac poll and the decline in some of the numbers for Hillary?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>LEIBOVICH:\u00a0 Swing states tend to go back and forth, maybe more than other states.\u00a0 This is a snapshot.\u00a0 I mean, all polls are snapshots, but this in particular does encapsulate the last 10 days during which the FBI investigation was completed.\u00a0 It was a rough few days for Hillary Clinton, I think this reflects that.\u00a0 I think in the big picture, though, I mean, I think that the upshot of the FBI investigation is that this will not be a long-term problem.\u00a0 I think this could be something she recovers from.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 Wishful thinking.\u00a0 Oh, it\u2019s just a snapshot, oh, we can\u2019t believe it because, oh, it doesn\u2019t really mean anything, oh, it doesn\u2019t have any legs.\u00a0 Her lack of honesty, the perception she\u2019s not trustworthy, that\u2019s got legs.\u00a0 Those characteristics applied to her have been around long before Trump even thought about becoming a contestant for the Republican presidential nomination.\u00a0 (imitating Leibovich) &#8220;All polls are snapshots.\u00a0 But in this particular case the upshot of the FBI investigation is not going to be a long-term problem.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, well, two weeks ago Hillary was set to run away with this.\u00a0 And what is this, swing states, snapshots, rough few days for Hillary?\u00a0 I thought it was a rough few days for Trump.\u00a0 Hillary was spending millions of dollars on ads creaming Trump, disparaging Trump, unsuitable, unqualified, bad temperament.\u00a0 I thought that was supposed to overcome whatever problem, snapshot problem she had with the email thing, for crying out loud.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:\u00a0 And, by the way, folks, it\u2019s not just the Quinnipiac poll on swing states. In today\u2019s McClatchy\/Marist poll, Hillary is only leading nationally by three.\u00a0 That\u2019s within the margin of error.\u00a0 There was an NBC poll yesterday that showed Hillary\u2019s numbers are slipping, nationally.\u00a0 So it\u2019s not just a Quinnipiac poll.\u00a0 Time to hit the phones.\u00a0 Trump\u2019s VP looks like Pence or Christie, and there\u2019s a little more to pass on than that, if we can trust what is being fed us.\u00a0 Not sure I do.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"eZObject_124862\" class=\"img_right\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/110365404_large.jpg\" align=\"right\" \/>RUSH:\u00a0 It\u2019s another poll.\u00a0 Another poll.\u00a0 The Wall Street Journal\/NBC\/Marist.\u00a0 It\u2019s a new poll.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-are-neck-and-neck-in-ohio-and-iowa-polls-find-1468429268\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Trump and Clinton Running Neck and Neck in Ohio and Iowa.&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0 This goes along with the NBC\/Wall Street Journal poll that shows Hillary only up by two nationwide.\u00a0 Clinton and Trump running neck and in the case Ohio and Iowa.\u00a0 To add to the Quinnipiac.\u00a0 My question is this.\u00a0 Mr. Snerdley &#8212; he\u2019s in New York &#8212; are you paying attention or are you out&#8230;? (interruption) Let me ask you a question.<\/p>\n<p>Why are we still polling?\u00a0 Because the people that are in the know &#8212; I mean, all the experts &#8212; were telling us that presidential elections are decided in June.\u00a0 You remember that?\u00a0 So why are we still even polling?\u00a0 Hillary won the election in June, right?\u00a0 Or she should have. She was running all these ads and Trump wasn\u2019t reacting to any of them. He wasn\u2019t running any of his own. (interruption) Well, I know, that\u2019s the point. Nothing is.
