RUSH:\u00a0 One of Hillary\u2019s favorite lines is It Takes a Village. It\u2019s the title of her book and so forth — which, hey, is fine.\u00a0 I\u2019m all cool with communities helping each other. Families, churches, and all that, people working together.\u00a0 Nobody reasonable objects to that.\u00a0 But that\u2019s not what Hillary means.\u00a0 That\u2019s what she wants you to think “It Takes a Village” means, but that\u2019s not what it means.\u00a0 I kind of cringe — I really do — when I hear these people like last night referencing the Declaration of Independence.<\/p>\n

Well, I\u2019ll tell you why it makes me cringe.\u00a0 I cringe when I hear them referencing the Constitution.\u00a0 It makes me cringe because both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were written to define, to guarantee individual liberty.\u00a0 But Hillary Clinton tried to tell the dumbed-down population — the part of this population that\u2019s been educated by Democrats — that the Founding Fathers knew “It Takes a Village.”\u00a0 Well, everybody knows that it takes families, that it takes communities.\u00a0 Not to raise a child.<\/p>\n

It just takes… You know, people work together.\u00a0 The idea that rugged individualism means — and they\u2019re trying to mis-define this, too. The idea that rugged individualism means that nobody knows anybody else and everybody tells everybody else to go to hell and everybody does everything they do on their own? What poppycock.\u00a0 But that\u2019s what they want you to think rugged individualism is.\u00a0 And, by the same token, they want to try to appropriate the express references to individual liberty.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the US Constitution, the express purpose was to limit the power of government.\u00a0 Well, I\u2019m here to tell you that Nurse Ratched does not believe in that just like Obama doesn\u2019t.\u00a0 They have a problem with that, in fact.\u00a0 They have a problem with the Constitution limiting the government.\u00a0 They don\u2019t want any limits.\u00a0 So they\u2019ve come along, and they have appropriated “It Takes a Village” as something the founders meant.\u00a0 “They knew it took a village.”<\/p>\n

In their world, “village” means the government, controlling authorities, state government, local government, federal government.\u00a0 And that just isn\u2019t true.\u00a0 So here\u2019s what Hillary Clinton tried to do last night.\u00a0 She tried to embrace America\u2019s birth, but she couldn\u2019t do it.\u00a0 She then aborted America\u2019s birth, explaining how she would butcher and sell off the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, the Tenth Amendment.\u00a0 Well, she didn\u2019t mention these specifically, but that\u2019s what she meant.<\/p>\n

She defined, she defined the problem area that — First Amendment, big problem.\u00a0 What do you mean, Rush, what do you mean?\u00a0 Citizens United, folks.\u00a0 Citizens United is a group of people that were not permitted under current election law to donate to candidates or causes.\u00a0 They created a movie critical of Hillary Clinton.\u00a0 Mrs. Clinton didn\u2019t want that movie seen.\u00a0 Mrs. Clinton and her agents went to court to try to deny Citizens United any opportunity to fundraise, to develop and produce the movie.<\/p>\n

The case went all the way to the Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court found in favor of Citizens United, which meant that now corporate entities the Democrats say are not people, are just as entitled to be in politics as unions are.\u00a0 Prior to Citizens United, corporations were not allowed to be involved in politics.\u00a0 They couldn\u2019t donate. They couldn\u2019t do anything.\u00a0 Now, they could buy candidates like corporations have bought and paid for Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m getting ahead of myself, but here she goes ripping on Wall Street last night and those dummkopfs in that audience, “Yeah! You tell \u2019em, Hillary!”\u00a0 Wall Street owns her.\u00a0 Wall Street owns the Democrat Party.<\/a>\u00a0 Wall Street donates almost 90% of every dollar it gives to the Democrat Party.\u00a0 Hillary Clinton was making $250,000 for every 20-minute speech she gave to a Wall Street bank or hedge fund or institution, to the tune of $21 million in two years!<\/p>\n

<\/a>They own her!\u00a0 So they know she doesn\u2019t mean it when she talks about ravaging them and savaging them.\u00a0 There\u2019s a wink and a nod there.\u00a0 What they know is she\u2019s gonna protect \u2019em, at the end of the day.\u00a0 What they know is they\u2019re gonna get what they want policy-wise because they\u2019ve already bought it, just like a whole bunch of foreign nations have.\u00a0 That\u2019s what the hundred million-plus dollars to the Clinton Foundation represents.\u00a0 It\u2019s what it\u2019s all about.<\/p>\n

Citizens United literally was about a movie made about Hillary Clinton.\u00a0 She doesn\u2019t want people to be able to make movies critical of her.\u00a0 Do not doubt me.\u00a0 If you think nobody could be that petty and “Come on, Rush, she\u2019s got a thicker skin than that,” no, she doesn\u2019t.\u00a0 And if they have to, they\u2019re gonna do a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United \u2019cause they do not want corporate or professional entities on our side of America to be able to fund election activities.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re perfectly fine with unions doing it and all these nonprofits doing it.\u00a0 So that\u2019s the attack on the First Amendment.\u00a0 The Second Amendment?\u00a0 You don\u2019t doubt me on this, do you, with that gobbledygook that she said about guns last night?\u00a0 She goes through the regular motions. (impression of halting screech) “I don\u2019t care.\u00a0 I just don\u2019t you getting shot with a gun by somebody who shouldn\u2019t have one.”\u00a0 Well, who is that?\u00a0 We already have laws that define it, and we have background checks that define who can and can\u2019t get a gun.<\/p>\n

Now, Hillary wants to be in charge of who can get a gun, and she wants the answer to be “nobody.”\u00a0 The Tenth Amendment? That was her all-out assault on the states and what they do vis-a-vis health care.\u00a0 Do not doubt me.\u00a0 She didn\u2019t say that she\u2019s gonna assault the First Amendment, Second Amendment, or the Tenth Amendment.\u00a0 That\u2019s what she did.\u00a0 She embraced the founding of America.\u00a0 She embraced America\u2019s birth and promptly aborted it.<\/p>\n

Much of what she said last night is in direct conflict with the letter and the spirit of the Constitution.\u00a0 Her purpose is to steamroll states\u2019 rights and centralize power to make private property and free markets a distant memory.\u00a0 Hillary Clinton\u2019s America is an America that King George might actually have embraced.\u00a0 Hillary Clinton\u2019s America is an America that may not have even had to seek its independence.\u00a0 Hillary Clinton\u2019s America is an America that may not have ever really needed to rebel!<\/p>\n

Because Hillary Clinton\u2019s America establishes the very things and more that our Founding Fathers pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to overthrow.\u00a0 Hillary Clinton\u2019s America would pretty much, within the realm of modern times, reinstitute much of what led to our nation\u2019s founding.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
