CALLER:\u00a0 Hi.\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 Thank you, Mr. Limbaugh, for helping me to understand the real issues in this election.\u00a0 I\u2019m a new listener, fairly new. I\u2019ve only been listening about three months. Like my 14-year-old son said, “You should listen.” We don\u2019t have a computer so I use my phone most of the time. But things are just too confusing.\u00a0 So I really hated Trump, and I thought he was a pompous jerk and everything — and with our two horrible choices, I just wasn\u2019t gonna vote.\u00a0 But now that I understand the issues better listening to you and hearing all the truth about it, now I understand better and so I just wanted to thank you and so now I\u2019m definitely a Trump supporter.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 I want to thank you, and I\u2019ll tell you why.\u00a0 You say your son is 14, and recommended you listen to the program?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 He said, “You know, Mom, Dad\u2019s a disabled vet, and Trump is for the military, and you need to listen.”\u00a0 And I said, “He\u2019s a jerk.”\u00a0 And he said, “Mom, just listen.”\u00a0 And so I started listening.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Well, I want to thank you, because anybody can listen, but you actually listened.\u00a0 If you start out with the attitude you have about Trump… You know, a lot of people get wedded to their opinions and they get locked in \u2019em. There\u2019s no changing their minds on it, particularly when it\u2019s on an emotional opinion like whatever you said he was. He was a buffoon, whatever.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Uh-huh.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 But you stuck with it, and you allowed us to get in your head and make you look at things differently.\u00a0 And I appreciate that, because we\u2019re nothing but honest here.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Well, I really appreciate it.\u00a0 You know, I use my phone to try to find out all the stories and stuff but there\u2019s so many different stories that it just got too confusing. So now I listen to you while I\u2019m in the car line waiting for the kids to get out school. So I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the show.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Let me tell you what we do here.\u00a0 Among many other things — in addition to making you laugh and making you enjoy being alive — we make the complex understandable.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 I don\u2019t care what else is going on in your life, for the three hours a day that this program is on and you\u2019re listening to it, everything seems normal. Everything seems okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 And so I\u2019m glad you\u2019re part of the crowd.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 I appreciate that.\u00a0 I\u2019ve even got my husband to listen to it \u2019cause we go back and forth about 35 miles to the VA clinic quite a few times a week, and so I\u2019ve gotten him to listen to it sometimes also, and I think he\u2019s almost a Trump supporter, too.\u00a0 So —<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Keep working on him.\u00a0 There\u2019s time.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 There is.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 You\u2019ll get to him. You don\u2019t have a computer? You just use your phone?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 Our computer crashed a couple years ago, and with him not able to work and everything — he\u2019s disabled — and I can\u2019t work because I have to take care of him.<\/p>\n
