RUSH:\u00a0 Look at this.\u00a0 Fox and CNN have pretty much the same graphic headline.\u00a0 Trump has put the GOP in an uncomfortable position.\u00a0 The statements on Putin.\u00a0 First place, he goes to the Larry King show.\u00a0 Who the hell knows that that\u2019s a network called Russia Today.\u00a0 What\u2019s Larry King doing on a Russian network, much less Trump.\u00a0 But who knew?\u00a0 Does Larry King even know he\u2019s on a Russian network?<\/p>\n

Apparently Trump\u2019s a little trouble out there because he said — correct me if I\u2019m wrong — he said that Putin has been a stronger leader for Russia than Obama has been for the United States.\u00a0 That\u2019s what he said.\u00a0 Now everybody\u2019s saying, poor Pence, poor Pence has gotta run out and defend that as the vice president. He\u2019s gotta defend that and he doesn\u2019t want to. \u00a0It depends on how you define strong, it seems to me.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 When\u2019s the last time Vladimir Putin apologized for Russia?\u00a0 When\u2019s the last time Vladimir Putin went to an economics meeting in China and called his own citizens lazy?\u00a0 When is the last time Vladimir Putin went around the world and apologized for whatever atrocities Russia has committed in the world?\u00a0 I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 It depends on how you define “strong.”<\/p>\n

Once again, this is this kind of thing, Trump supporters aren\u2019t gonna care.\u00a0 Some of Trump\u2019s supporters are probably gonna applaud it.\u00a0 Some of Trump\u2019s supporters, \u2019cause they\u2019re gonna hear it as a swipe as Obama, which they don\u2019t mind hearing every day.\u00a0 Anyway, it\u2019s typical of the Drive-Bys and others in the Washington-New York-Boston corridor, the establishment, “Oh, my God, oh, my God, the Republican candidate praised a Russian butcher over our own president. Oh, my God, what problems does he know he\u2019s causing for the Republican Party?”\u00a0 In their world, yeah, this is a taboo. You just don\u2019t do it.<\/p>\n

Forgive me, but is it not the Democrat Party who\u2019s been sidling up to communists all over the world my entire life?\u00a0 Is it not Ted Kennedy who wrote the Soviet, Yuri Andropov, a letter asking him to be patient until they could get rid of Ronald Reagan at the next election and to not make any foolish nuclear arms agreements with Reagan \u2019cause he\u2019s a dangerous cowboy?\u00a0 Was it not the Democrat Party making deals with the Soviet leadership in Nicaragua trying to undermine Reagan there?\u00a0 Somehow we\u2019re supposed to believe here that Trump has violated some great tenet where you don\u2019t sidle up to Soviet leaders, and he\u2019s a KGB guy.\u00a0 I mean, Putin.\u00a0 I mean, it\u2019s much ado about nothing as far as Trump supporters are concerned.\u00a0 Don\u2019t doubt me.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
