RUSH: We go to Pam in Asheville, North Carolina.\u00a0 Great to have you on the program.\u00a0 How are you doing?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 I\u2019m doing great, Rush.\u00a0 Say, my husband and I are both Trump supporters, so I guess one of the two of us is peeking out from the basket of deplorables, eh?<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Let me ask you a question before we go on.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Sure.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yes, just outside of town.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 Most of the people in Asheville are communists.\u00a0 They\u2019re… Well, that\u2019s a bit of an exaggeration, but they\u2019re leftists.\u00a0 Are you?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, you\u2019re not?\u00a0 Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 No.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 So you\u2019re in the minority of population.\u00a0 You went to the Trump rally last night; is that right?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 We did. I and our son.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Okay.\u00a0 From what I heard, I just want to you confirm that what I found was true, that the arena — or the venue — was full, and that it holds about 7,000 people.\u00a0 Is that close?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 That\u2019s accurate, yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Okay, fine.\u00a0 Because what I have here, is I\u2019ve got two stories.\u00a0 I\u2019ve got an ABC News story, and I\u2019ve got an AP story, and what they report… They don\u2019t report the size of the crowd. They don\u2019t report how uplifting and exciting and positive the crowd was.\u00a0 They don\u2019t report how good Trump was.\u00a0 They focus on a skirmish that happened, and they\u2019re trying to make it look like a bunch of Trump supporters were picking on Trump protesters and that the whole thing descended into a giant fight.\u00a0 ABC and the AP are both trying to report that as the primary event that happened at the Trump rally.\u00a0 Is that what you saw?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 They\u2019re… No.\u00a0 So it was very interesting, because there was a sea of protesters, and we did have to pass through the sea — so shoulder-to-shoulder, face-to-face — to get into the event.\u00a0 There were some protesters that got in.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a thing that really amazed me.\u00a0 There were F-bombs everywhere.\u00a0 They are all over the protestors. As protesters in the rally got up and made their point known and were escorted out, they prominently gave the finger to us — very, very visibly.\u00a0 There was a sign that was smuggled in somehow, and I don\u2019t know what the sign said. I haven\u2019t been able to find it. We couldn\u2019t see it, but it had to be pretty vile.\u00a0 And we were just there having a good time.\u00a0 So like I said, there were absolutely F-bombs everywhere —<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 How old is your son?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 He is 15.\u00a0 So that was not good.\u00a0 On our way out, though, the protestors, with signs, here\u2019s what they chanted:\u00a0 “Love Trump\u2019s hate!\u00a0 Love Trump\u2019s hate!”<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 That\u2019s not new.\u00a0 They have been… That\u2019s been a popular refrain of anti-Trump protesters for months now, and I think it kind of backfires on them.\u00a0 They\u2019re trying to say —<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 To watch what was going on there… We just peacefully went to a Trump rally!\u00a0 I\u2019m very concerned that the things Hillary is saying are cultivating an incredible prejudice among people.\u00a0 I mean, I think that most voters on both sides are good-hearted people who love their country and care of their country.\u00a0 But we encountered just rabid protesters who believe that we are awful people and terrible hearted.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Pam, let me —<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 They really believe that.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 You\u2019re mostly right when you say that Hillary is cultivating that kind of person, but it\u2019s really not her.\u00a0 They existed long before Hillary, and they would be there no matter who the Democrat nominee was. \u00a0Those are people largely paid. They are bought and paid for by activists like George Soros.\u00a0 George Soros funds, he invests in paid protest groups, and their express purpose is to go out and disrupt every Trump rally they can.<\/p>\n

And even if they\u2019re not acolytes for Hillary… I\u2019m not trying to let her off the hook in terms of being responsible for cultivating the hate, because I think the left owns hate in this country.\u00a0 I think they promote it.\u00a0 I think they cultivate it.\u00a0 I think they use it.\u00a0 I think most of the hate in this country\u2019s actually found on the left.\u00a0 You\u2019re not a hater.\u00a0 I mean, you went to this rally just wanting to be part of it. You wanted to see what it was. You hoped it was fun. You hoped it was good. You hoped Trump was good, I\u2019m sure.<\/p>\n

CALLER: \u00a0Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 You didn\u2019t go there to “hate on” anybody or hate anything, and hate is not what attracted you to it.\u00a0 But the people that protested you and were writing and shouting all those F-bombs, are obsessed with it.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER:\u00a0 They were, and the protesters were very peacefully and courteously escorted out each time.\u00a0 One of the things I loved is there was a point at which they went and got a bunch of Trump supporters that hadn\u2019t been able to get into the rally and they escorted them into the places that were vacated by the protestors.\u00a0 The building was all incredibly peaceful, incredibly peaceful.\u00a0 Outside the building, I saw Trump supporters, some of them. Long story, but my son and I got stuck in the sea of protesters. We got separated from husband and we were stuck there for about an hour, and so we missed a lot, and there were a few Trump supporters that tried to engage protesters in meaningful conversation —<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Was this your first encounter with protesters up close like this?<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 I think I can tell.\u00a0 Nothing wrong with it.\u00a0 I can just tell.\u00a0 You read about \u2019em and you may see them make noise at a Trump rally. You\u2019re watching on TV and you see \u2019em escorted out, and you think, “Okay, fine and dandy.” But here you came face-to-face with them, and it totally changes the way you see them.\u00a0 And it totally changes the impact they have on you.\u00a0 I can tell by listening to you that you think this was atrocious.\u00a0 You think this was outstandingly bad; it was egregious.\u00a0 You think it was harmful.\u00a0 I can hear all this in your voice.<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Well, and I think… I guess one thing that concerns me is that it\u2019s as if democracy is being lost.\u00a0 I mean, the country stands for freedom to disagree, freedom to hold your own views, and the message that\u2019s communicated is, “If you disagree with me, you\u2019re full of hate and all these various isms.”<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 And you are subject to potential violence.\u00a0 You are subject to threat.\u00a0 “We\u2019re gonna threaten you, we\u2019re gonna intimidate you, we\u2019re gonna bully you if you don\u2019t agree with us.\u00a0 We\u2019re gonna shut you up.”<\/p>\n

CALLER:\u00a0 Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 “We\u2019re gonna send you packing.”\u00a0 There\u2019s… Pam, look, you know, all of these wonderful statements that we keep hearing in association with this Kaepernick protest that he had? “America means that you have the right to say whatever you want! You can voice whatever opinion.” It\u2019s a bunch of BS.\u00a0 This is the kind of thing that losers tell themselves when they don\u2019t know how to deal with the protestors you\u2019re encountering.\u00a0 The protestors that you encountered do not respect your right to think what you think.<\/p>\n

They don\u2019t respect your right to show up and say what you want to say and support what you want support.\u00a0 They show up to shut you down.\u00a0 There is none of this respect for the great concepts of dissent.\u00a0 If you dissent from them, with them — if you violate what they want — they\u2019re gonna come after you or make you think they\u2019re gonna come after you one way or the other.\u00a0 We get caught up in these flowery little bromides of America, freedom.<\/p>\n
