I get it.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Okay.&nbsp; Okay.&nbsp; I was thinking about other reasons why that might be, and I was curious.&nbsp; But we won\u2019t focus on that.&nbsp; What was the reason for your call?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Well, I am just so angry because I contacted the Rush Revere group to see if they would donate some books to me so I could donate them to my daughter\u2019s school.&nbsp; She\u2019s 10-years-old. She goes to John Wash in Sanger Unified [School District], and they graciously sent me the first three in the series. I donated them to the school, and that was a year ago.&nbsp; And I just found out on Tuesday night at our PTA meeting that the book could not be entered into the library because the librarian stated that they were politically leaning and historically incorrect.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; They are specifically not political!<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Exactly.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/rushrevere%20\"><img id=\"eZObject_128685\" class=\"img_middle\" align=\"middle\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/04-RushFacebook-RR.jpg\"\/><\/a>RUSH:&nbsp; You know, here\u2019s another thing.&nbsp; I want to clarify something.&nbsp; These are not children\u2019s books.&nbsp; These are history books for young adults and young people.&nbsp; When people think children\u2019s book, they think pictures and coloring books and that.&nbsp; It\u2019s not that.&nbsp; These are full-fledged books, hardcover, and they are for young people.<\/p>\n<p>And they teach the truth of the American founding.&nbsp; There\u2019s no politics in this.&nbsp; There\u2019s no conservatism or liberalism.&nbsp; You know what this is?&nbsp; This is just your librarian with her own politics.&nbsp; She\u2019s injecting and imposing her own political view &#8212; and because my name is on the book, she\u2019s assuming that it\u2019s rotten and bad and wrong and she\u2019s not letting it in the school.&nbsp; That\u2019s outrageous! It\u2019s simply outrageous!<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; It is.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Sanger Unified you say?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Yes.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Where is Sanger?&nbsp; Where in the state is Sanger, in California?&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Just east of Fresno.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Okay, east of Fresno.&nbsp; So in the valley.&nbsp; That burns me up.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; It does.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Because we go to great lengths to make sure these books are not political, especially not in relationship to modern day politics and what might be going on.&nbsp; We\u2019re just trying to teach the truth of the founding of this country because it isn\u2019t taught enough anymore, and we\u2019re doing it&#8230; I mean, for crying out, a talking horse is political?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Exactly.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; We\u2019re trying to&#8230; We write these books in such a way that the people that read them are actually taken to these historical events via time travel, and they actually get to see the events take place, such as the debates at the Constitutional Hall and the Pilgrims arriving and the trip across the Atlantic Ocean and all that. That burns me up!<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; It makes me so angry.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Did you say anything to her about it?&nbsp; The librarian.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Yes!&nbsp; Oh, yes.&nbsp; I said it right in front of everybody there. I said, &#8220;It is not politically leaning.&#8221;&nbsp; I said, &#8220;I\u2019ve read every single one of his books.&nbsp; They have nothing to do with politics, and they\u2019re historically correct.&#8221; I said, &#8220;Rush did all of the research.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; We have a whole staff of people that puts these books together.&nbsp; We\u2019ve got the people that do the illustrations.&nbsp; We\u2019ve got fact-checkers and double-check when we make historical assertions of fact in these books.&nbsp; That\u2019s the first and foremost objective is that what we write about is true, not politics.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Correct.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; We\u2019re not propagandizing in these books.&nbsp; There\u2019s no need to.&nbsp; The truth of the American founding is a great, beautiful story.&nbsp; There\u2019s no reason to lie about it.&nbsp; They\u2019re the ones that do that.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER:&nbsp; Exactly.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH:&nbsp; Well, is it&#8230;?
