RUSH: So, yeah, Reagan\u2019s win was huge and the media was up there all upset what happened in the polls, why\u2019d the polls get it wrong. I\u2019m a little older now and I\u2019ve got a lot more maturity and I know a lot more than I knew in the 1980s, and this is a bigger earthquake precisely \u2019cause Trump\u2019s not from the political system.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Hmm. Well, thank you.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, why did you want to know that?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, because I was 13 when Reagan won, and my children are 13 and 14, and they ran in my bedroom at two in the morning jumping on my bed.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, you know, there\u2019s some differences between 1980 and now. Back in 1980 there were only three networks.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n
RUSH: CNN was just getting going, I think. Now your kids can\u2019t escape. Thirteen-year-olds back then, if they didn\u2019t watch the evening news, they didn\u2019t see news. If they didn\u2019t watch the 6:30 or seven p.m. news, they didn\u2019t see news. Today younger people have much more access to that kind of hard news than you did when you were 13 back then. <\/p>\n
RUSH: But still, the emotion is similar, to answer your question.
