Coyote.\u00a0 Gotta look at Trump and his team as the Road Runner.\u00a0 Wile E. Coyote still has no idea what\u2019s happening.\u00a0 They\u2019re trying to continue to destroy Trump in the age-old ways they\u2019ve succeeded.\u00a0 It\u2019s all backfiring on \u2019em.\u00a0 I\u2019m gonna explain this as the program unfolds.\u00a0 Be cool.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Don\u2019t worry about it, Rachel, don\u2019t worry about any of this stuff.\u00a0 Well, I mean, if you want to worry about it, go ahead, but I\u2019m gonna explain it to you. It is fascinating to watch this, folks. I\u2019m having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have watching this stuff go down. I mean, look what\u2019s happening out there.<\/p>\n

The media is obsessing.\u00a0 They\u2019re celebrating.\u00a0 They want to pop the cork on the champagne because they claim that Trump\u2019s cabinet picks are running away from him. “As they testify in their confirmation hearings, Trump cabinet picks break with Trump on campaign promises<\/a>.”\u00a0 And so what they\u2019re trying to say is these guys are undercutting Trump, they\u2019re selling Trump out, they\u2019re proving that Trump lied on the campaign trail.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not what is happening, folks.\u00a0 The Drive-Bys and the Democrats basically, I mean, they, oh, they just want that to be true, but that\u2019s not what\u2019s going on out there at all.\u00a0 I\u2019m here to explain it.\u00a0 Last night I\u2019m watching, and this is hit or miss with me because I don\u2019t normally watch cable news much anymore.\u00a0 It\u2019s nothing against it, I just don\u2019t.\u00a0 And last night I\u2019m watching the first hour of Special Report with Bret Baier, and they had two panel segments, the Fox All Stars.<\/p>\n

I sent Bret Baier a note in the middle of the second panel.\u00a0 “Oh, man,” I said, “Would I love to be on your second panel right now.\u00a0 This is just amazing what I\u2019m watching.”\u00a0 He wrote back, and said, “Well, you\u2019re welcome any time.”\u00a0 What the second panel was talking about was you can\u2019t have presidents picking sides.\u00a0 You can\u2019t have presidents picking winners and losers.\u00a0 You can\u2019t have presidents picking one company to win over another.
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

We can\u2019t?\u00a0 You ever heard of Barack Obama?\u00a0 You ever heard of Solyndra?\u00a0 For crying out, can\u2019t pick winners and losers, fine and dandy, but where was all this when Obama was doing it?\u00a0 But, anyway, that\u2019s not even what\u2019s happening.\u00a0 What this was about — I gotta dial this down.\u00a0 I\u2019m getting too passionate, right, Rachel?<\/p>\n

This is about the L.L. Bean thing<\/a>.\u00a0 Are you familiar with the L.L. Bean story?\u00a0 Do you know what L.L. Bean is?\u00a0 All right.\u00a0 They\u2019re a company up in Maine, and they make boots and stuff if you\u2019re gonna go jump in the water while you kill birds and alligators. They\u2019re basically a wildlife outfit, and they\u2019ve got the L.L. Bean catalog and all that.\u00a0 They\u2019re age-old.\u00a0 They\u2019re as old as the Farmer\u2019s Almanac.\u00a0 They may be the Farmer\u2019s Almanac for all — anyway, it turned out that a woman, one of the members of the board at L.L. Bean had the audacity to make a campaign contribution to Trump!<\/p>\n

Can you believe it?\u00a0 Who does she think she is?\u00a0 And so you know what happened?\u00a0 A bunch of leftist bullies, this pajama-clad bunch of invisible neophytes out on the internet started bullying her and demanding that people stop shopping at L.L. Bean.\u00a0 In other words, they were encouraging a boycott because somebody there had the audacity to donate to Trump.<\/p>\n

And so Trump praised her, and Trump thanked her for her support.\u00a0 And everybody said, “Trump can\u2019t do that, presidents can\u2019t do that.\u00a0 You can\u2019t pick winners and losers like that.”\u00a0 This has nothing to do with picking winners and losers.\u00a0 This is defending somebody who supported him against an all-out bullying assault that I am intimately aware of and a lot of people are in the way this whole thing works, we have uncovered it.\u00a0 We know who these people are.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re about 10 people and they make themselves out via algorithms to look like they are thousands of people, and they end up writing letters to businesses that make it look like they\u2019re coming from the city the business is located.\u00a0 The whole thing is a scam and we have uncovered it and we\u2019ve identified the people.\u00a0 And they\u2019re trying this on L.L. Bean now.<\/p>\n

So Trump, who is loyal, simply praised her. I think he even did a photo-op with her or something, and it was basically fighting back against a typical leftist.\u00a0 If it were up to me these people would be gone after in court for violation of tortious — or tortious interference or whatever.\u00a0 These are anti-capitalist, invisible bullies out there demanding that every other sniveling little leftist join their stupid little boycotts.<\/p>\n

Fine and dandy, freedom of speech, do what you want, but to say that we can\u2019t fight back, to say that fighting back is picking winners and losers.\u00a0 Trump\u2019s not picking L.L. Bean over anybody else.\u00a0 He\u2019s simply fighting back, which is what we have been missing for the last eight years.\u00a0 And you can see how much the left hates it.<\/p>\n

You can even see how much establishment Republicans hate it, \u2019cause they were joining this refrain that Trump can\u2019t pick winners and losers. “We can\u2019t do that. This is unseemly. He\u2019s got to stop tweeting.\u00a0 Presidents can\u2019t tweet like this.\u00a0 Presidents can\u2019t do this. This is beneath the dignity of the office.”\u00a0 You people, I\u2019m telling you, you still do not understand what you\u2019re up against here.<\/p>\n

\"\"You know what?\u00a0 Let me ask you a question, Rachel.\u00a0 Would you be upset if Trump painted the Trump logo on the tail of Air Force One?\u00a0 You wouldn\u2019t be bothered?\u00a0 What if Trump tried to rename the capitol building the Donald J. Trump United States Capitol, would that bother you?\u00a0 The Donald J. Trump Senate Chamber.\u00a0 (laughing)\u00a0 I tell you, we can\u2019t pick winners and losers.<\/p>\n

And then all over the internet on liberal websites there\u2019s another theme out there today based on Trump\u2019s press conference where he called CNN fake news and refused to call on Jim Acosta. There\u2019s a unified assault on Trump from the left wing of the internet, and it goes like this.<\/p>\n

There are norms in society.\u00a0 There\u2019s civil rights in society.\u00a0 There are norms and procedures and protocols, and they exist because we have years and years and years and years of experience in proper human behavior and how to behave blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And Trump is simply assaulting all of this, and this is why we must ignore Trump and why we must constantly fight Trump because Trump is upsetting all of the age-old protocols and norms.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m watching these people lose their lunch over this.\u00a0 I\u2019m watching them go crazy.\u00a0 And as they talk about norms and as they talk about protocols and as they talk about tradition and as they talk about all of these age-old civilized ways in which people at positions of power behave, I keep shouting, “What about marriage?\u00a0 You people overthrew marriage.\u00a0 You had to see fit to redefine marriage.\u00a0 What about the protocols and the norms and the decency and all of the millennia of years establishing the best way to have a nuclear family, and you guys came along and upset it?<\/p>\n

“When you guys throw out norms, when you guys throw out protocols, when you guys throw out years and years and years of so-called civilized manner, it\u2019s apparently fine, and it\u2019s called ‘progress.\u2019\u00a0 When somebody like Trump comes along and doesn\u2019t behave toward you the way you think you should be respected and so on, all of a sudden all the building blocks of our civilized culture are falling apart.”\u00a0 I just love it, folks.\u00a0 I\u2019ll tell you, these people are wits\u2019 end.\u00a0 Wait \u2019til you hear some of the audio sound bites from the Hillary team here.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not kidding you.\u00a0 Wait \u2019til you hear this.\u00a0 They are still claiming that the election was fraudulent, that the polling was right, and therefore Hillary should be president.\u00a0 And I\u2019m not making this up.\u00a0 Robby Mook, the campaign manager, and a spokesman for Hillary are still saying the polls, the preelection polls and the exit polls, that\u2019s where the truth of this election was, and the votes didn\u2019t match up with the preelection polls and the exit polls and that means the Russians stole the election for Trump — and they\u2019re dead serious.<\/p>\n

Now, what does all this mean?\u00a0 Well, I\u2019m just gonna tell you.\u00a0 What it really all means is that you should prepare yourself for the fact that they\u2019re not gonna stop until they destroy Donald Trump either by way of impeachment — they don\u2019t have the votes for that.\u00a0 They don\u2019t have anywhere near the votes.\u00a0 They can\u2019t… You know, the way impeachment works, you need two-thirds. The House of Representatives charges and then the House Senate conducts the trial and the vote, and they don\u2019t have anywhere near the votes unless they get a bunch of recalcitrant Republicans to go along with \u2019em.<\/p>\n

Which reminds me of the health care.\u00a0 That\u2019s another thing.\u00a0 The left is in sheer panic over health care.\u00a0 Oh!\u00a0 One other thing.\u00a0 I need to go back to this bus… Well, I\u2019ll get back to it.\u00a0 The cabinet picks supposedly saying during their confirmation hearings things totally at variance of what Trump promised during the campaign.\u00a0 Ben Carson is a classic example.\u00a0 They\u2019re up there asking Ben Carson, “Are you gonna protect the HUD budget? You better damn well better protect the HUD budget! You know how important the HUD budget is? Are you gonna protect it?”<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Carson gonna say?\u00a0 “No, Senator. You know what I intend?\u00a0 I intend to wipe out this agency! I\u2019m secretly here to blow HUD up.”\u00a0 If that\u2019s the case, do you think he would tell them that?\u00a0 We have an entirely different audience.\u00a0 Trump campaigns to the voters. He says what he says; he believes it. They elected him. Okay, here come he\u2019s nominees.\u00a0 Who\u2019s the audience?\u00a0 A bunch of establishment politicians that hate Donald Trump, both parties.\u00a0 And so these nominees are up there, “So, Dr. Carson, are you prepared to protect the HUD budget?”<\/p>\n

And Carson says, “Not only am I prepared to protect it, I may even find a way to expand it.”<\/p>\n

“Good answer! Good answer! We\u2019ll vote for you.”<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all this is.\u00a0 Same thing with Tillerson.\u00a0 It\u2019s the same thing with Mattis.\u00a0 What they\u2019re trying to say is that Trump has been betrayed by his own stupidity.\u00a0 What they\u2019re trying to say is that Trump\u2019s actual cabinet nominees are exposing Trump for the fraud that he is.\u00a0 It\u2019s stupid!\u00a0 It is laughably stupid what they\u2019re glomming onto.\u00a0 They are so desperate for evidence that Trump is dumb, they\u2019re so desperate that evidence that Trump is stupid, they\u2019re so desperate for evidence that all of this has been a quirk of fate and an accident rooted in Trump\u2019s stupidity.<\/p>\n

They haven\u2019t got the slightest idea that the guy is running rings around them in terms of strategy, tactics, and intelligence.\u00a0 It\u2019s amazing, the hubris and the arrogance of these people.\u00a0 They\u2019ve got their desires, their preconceived wishes and notions.\u00a0 They have their narratives.\u00a0 Trump is an idiot, Trump\u2019s a liar, Trump doesn\u2019t know what he\u2019s doing. And so here come his nominees singing different tunes from what Trump did, and to these guys in the Beltway, the media, this is evidence. This is evidence that not even Trump\u2019s nominees like him.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s incredible.\u00a0 “Mattis and Tillerson, they\u2019re telling everybody what an idiot Trump is and how dangerous Trump is!” You really think that\u2019s what\u2019s happening here, you media people?\u00a0 If you need to get the votes of (for all intents and purposes) communist leftists on some of these committees, I mean, what are you gonna do?\u00a0 This is a, “Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Three bags full” circumstance.\u00a0 I can\u2019t be the only one who knows this.\u00a0 I cannot be the only one who knows this, the L.L. Bean thing. What else do we have?<\/p>\n

Oh, folks this dossier, this 35-page dossier that contained all of this total BS about Trump hiring prostitutes to do golden showers on the bed where Obama and Michelle (My Belle) had previously slept in Moscow? Remember we had McCain out there (impression), “Yeah, I just… I saw it.\u00a0 I said, ‘This this is horrible!\u2019 I — I didn\u2019t know what to do! (stammering) So I put on my citizen cap and I gave it to the FBI. And so I did, and I backed off. I gave it to the FBI! I said… I said, ‘The intelligence people have to see this.'”\u00a0 You know what happened?<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the short version with details coming up<\/a>.\u00a0 McCain found out about this while in Canada and flew one of his aides to the U.K. to pick the document up.\u00a0 McCain\u2019s fingerprints are on this from the get-go.\u00a0 He heard about the document existing from a member of the foreign agency, foreign office in the U.K., and he actually sent an aide of his on a special flight to pick this dossier up and bring it back to the United States.\u00a0 I have details on that coming up.<\/p>\n

Would you like to…? Do you know who\u2019s gonna who\u2019s gonna give the oath of office to Mike Pence? Have you heard that?\u00a0 Clarence Thomas.\u00a0 Supreme Court justice…\u00a0 Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.\u00a0 I want to read to you the Reuters account of this.\u00a0 Reuters.\u00a0 Here\u2019s the headline:\u00a0 “U.S. VP-Elect Pence to Be …”\u00a0 Oh, did you see that Obama gave Biden a participation medal yesterday?\u00a0 Did you see that? (interruption) With Biden standing there and Obama\u2019s announcing the presidential medal of what?\u00a0 Servitude?\u00a0 Whatever it is. I call it participation medal.<\/p>\n

So Biden\u2019s standing there waiting for Obama to name the next recipient. It turns out to be Biden! Biden grabs his handkerchief, turns around, starts crying, walks back, standing O, accepts it.\u00a0 I bet it wasn\u2019t surprise.\u00a0 Anyway, here is the Reuters headline: “U.S. VP-Elect Pence to Be Sworn in by Conservative Justice Thomas<\/a>.”\u00a0 You want to hear the first paragraph of the story?\u00a0 “Vice-President-Elect Mike Pence will be sworn in to office on January 20th by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, a conservative legal icon reviled by many liberals.”<\/p>\n

You know, we should be used to this crap by now, but it still irritates when you run into it.\u00a0 That\u2019s the Reuters lede in the story that Clarence Thomas will be swearing in Mike Pence on January 20th.\u00a0 Yeah, here, Politico. “Trump\u2019s Inauguration to Shatter Washington Norms.”\u00a0 I\u2019m telling you, this is a theme that the left is concocting.\u00a0 It\u2019s all over my tech blogs! The tech blog little Millennial leftists out there are all worried about these norms and these protocols and these decades-old manners of civility of just being blown to smithereens by this barbarian Trump.\u00a0 You can practically read the tears as they write about this.<\/p>\n
