RUSH: Again, when I boil all this down, the fact is, Trump doesn\u2019t have anybody helping him. And I don\u2019t mean to portray him as helpless; don\u2019t misunderstand.<\/p>\n

Again, I\u2019m sorry for the redundancy, but, you know, Obama can go out and say and do whatever he wanted, and the media is backing it up and supporting and making it look brilliant and normal all day long, all night long, all week long, all month. With Trump, whatever he does, it\u2019s portrayed as insane, dangerous, risky, uninformed, stupid, or what have you. Who is out there countering that, other than some of us in the alternative media? But it\u2019s never-ending, and there has to be a plan for this.<\/p>\n

\"\"That\u2019s why I think Trump ought to continue to go out and do rallies. I think Trump ought to go out and continue to draw 20,000, 25,000, and demonstrate. Let the pictures show that the pictures the media is creating are bogus and not representative of public opinion. But that still puts the onus on Trump. If I were Trump, frankly, I\u2019d be kind of ticked off that I have to do that. “What more do you want from me? I won.” Now he\u2019s faced with people whining and moaning he\u2019s not doing things fast enough or the Congress isn\u2019t doing things fast enough.<\/p>\n

Folks, you gotta understand here: There is a lot that has been put in the way, and presidents are not kings, and they don\u2019t just get to sign their name to stuff and have it happen. We now have been told it\u2019ll take 3-1\/2 years to build the wall. We are told that repealing Obamacare is not gonna happen in 2018. That\u2019s Trump that said that, not the Republicans in Congress. They may be simpatico to it. But I think a lot of people were expecting the left to realize they had lost, to lay down and get out of the way, and I tried to tell everybody that wasn\u2019t gonna happen.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve got late-night comedy shows, and Saturday Night Live now given as much weight as standard day-to-day media network broadcasts. It is an onslaught. There\u2019s a part of me that believes that all of this is leading to a continued backfire on the Democrats and on the left. I think they\u2019re gonna continue to lose elections. There\u2019s a story. I have a story in the Stack today. It\u2019s one of these deep-in-the-weeds analysis of why they lost, and it\u2019s the most ridiculous thing. It goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on, and it never once mentioned that their ideas are rejected. It never once mentioned that the American people don\u2019t want their ideas. It never once mentions Obama.<\/p>\n

And there\u2019s another piece in the New Republic<\/a> that kind of gets after Obama for not taking the time and expending the effort to get his revolution embedded at the states. That Obama didn\u2019t care enough about the party, that Obama only cared about himself, and he didn\u2019t do enough to build the roots of his revolution. And I read that, and I thought, well, let \u2019em have that argument. But the same thing could be said right now of Trump. The same thing could be said in a proactive way, that that needs to happen.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>These people in the grassroots that made this happen, they need to be nurtured, they need to be made to believe that what they did was real and matters and will continue to be and triumph if they do not jump ship, if they don\u2019t go wobbly, \u2019cause that\u2019s what the left is all about. You\u2019re supposed to get so mad over this court ruling that you\u2019re supposed to give up. You are supposed to think, “Huh, what\u2019s the point? We can\u2019t beat \u2019em. We beat \u2019em at the ballot box, they lose elections, they can\u2019t stop anything in the House, they can\u2019t stop anything in the Senate, and look, they\u2019re stopping Trump in the courts, we can\u2019t win!” And they want you to throw your hands up and quit and maybe move to New Zealand.<\/p>\n

I have to take a break. I just saw the clock. Mr. Snerdley, what did you say? That I sound like I\u2019m on the edge<\/a>? I am losing it? I sound like I\u2019m that close to losing it? I am in total control. I have never been in more total control. I got a fast instant message here from my brother. He said, “Screw keeping your anger in check. People love it when you get mad.”<\/p>\n

And I wrote back, “I know, but if I get too angry, sometimes I worry that I will not make as much sense as I want to make.” So that\u2019s why I try to rein in the anger. But I\u2019m not teetering on the edge here. You make it sound like I\u2019m just precariously balanced and one wrong word I\u2019m gone for the day and maybe not come back on Monday? (interruption) What do you mean? (interruption) Oh, launch into expletive-laden — No, I have more maturity and I have a greater vocabulary. I do need to descend into a launch of expletives in order to make my point. I said the P for urine word on purpose, not because I had lost control, Mr. Snerdley. I said that to penetrate the noise. (interruption) What little faith who has, Snerdley? No, it\u2019s not that Snerdley doesn\u2019t have faith. It\u2019s that Snerdley cares so deeply he doesn\u2019t want anything screwed up here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I tell you, Rush, it is so frustrating. We are sitting here, and we won the election, we played by the rules, we did our civic duty —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, we didn\u2019t. We violated the biggest rule by winning.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. So here\u2019s my question. We\u2019re sitting out here, all of us, we\u2019re yelling at the radios and TVs, what is our short-term and long-term recourse to — I mean, what can we do as the silent majority out there sitting around going, “This is ridiculous”?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, the good for you. Folks, this is not a cliche. I\u2019m telling you, we have jobs. They many times are paid to do this. Do you realize these professional protesters, when you hear that George Soros is funding them, what does that actually mean? Well, they\u2019re being paid, some of them qualify for food stamps. They\u2019re all living off the government. They do not have jobs. This is de facto their job. And it\u2019s made to look like just the exact opposite. It\u2019s made to look like these are people so concerned and so devoted, that they are sacrificing their own personal lives to join the protest march and to stop this tyrannical president. When in fact they\u2019re bought and paid to do exactly this, paid with food stamps, their housing is taken care of, some may even have access to health care.
