This is incredible. It\u2019s an opinion piece. It\u2019s in the op-ed page by somebody named Steve Phillips. And I didn\u2019t&#8230; I don\u2019t know who this guy is. I would love to tell you who Steve Phillips is but&#8230; Ah. &#8220;Senior fellow at the Center for American Progress.&#8221; (chuckling) That\u2019s Moscow on the Hudson. Center for American Progress is one of these Obama-Hillary left-wing groups like the Think Progress and it\u2019s, you know, Podesta light. Well, there is no Podesta light. Podesta left. So that\u2019s who this guy is. He\u2019s a fellow, a senior fellow. That means he works in a think tank which means he\u2019s paid to sit there and think and then write what he thinks.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s the author of Brown is the New White: How the Demographic Revolution has Created a New American Majority. Except it hasn\u2019t yet. The white population, to the chagrin of many, is still 77%. This is important because Democrats threw away white working-class voters. They just said, &#8220;You know what? We\u2019re not gonna try to win elections with white working class.&#8221; In other words, &#8220;We\u2019re not gonna try to win elections with the little guy anymore. We\u2019re gonna instead become the party of a giant coalition of minority groups:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-222512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Paper-Cutaway-NY-Times-022217.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"249\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Paper-Cutaway-NY-Times-022217.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Paper-Cutaway-NY-Times-022217-300x115.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>&#8220;Homosexuals, lesbians, transgenders, African-Americans, Hispanics, Guatemalans, El Salvadorans, Somalis, Yemenis, Syrians, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, ISIL &#8212; whatever it takes, whatever groups that we can put together &#8212; and, of course, illegals. Whatever votes we can squeeze out of that group.&#8221; That\u2019s what they decided to do, based on the fact they\u2019ve read all this Democratic research and they really believe that giant coalition of minorities will outnumber the white population. We\u2019re not there yet, and the election results give rise to their erroneous calculations here.<\/p>\n<p>So Phillips is the author of Brown is the New White: How the Demographic Revolution Has Created a New American Majority. He\u2019s also the founder of Democracy and Color. So that\u2019s who this guy is. And here\u2019s the headline: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/02\/21\/opinion\/move-left-democrats.html?_r=0\">Move Left, Democrats.<\/a>&#8221; Yes! That\u2019s the ticket. The Democratic National Committee will choose its next leader on Saturday, and when it does it should choose a leader who will resist the pressure to pursue the wrong white people. Hundreds of articles have been written about the imperative of attracting more support from white working-class voters who supported Barack Obama in 2012 but then bolted to back Donald J. Trump.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The far more important &#8212; and largely untold &#8212; story of the election is that more Obama voters defected to third- and fourth-party candidates than the number who supported Mr. Trump. That is the white flight that should most concern the next DNC chairman&#8230; To be clear, all white voters matter.&#8221; Had to make sure to put that in. &#8220;But Democrats must make tough, data-driven decisions about how to prioritize their work. Right now, too many are using bad math and faulty logic to push the party to chase the wrong segment of white voters.&#8221; And I am one of the wrong white people, by the way.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-222495\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/DemsFailure-012616.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"585\" height=\"238\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/DemsFailure-012616.jpg 585w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/DemsFailure-012616-300x122.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 585px) 100vw, 585px\" \/>I just&#8230; In this story, I am referenced as an example of one of the wrong white people? (interruption) Is that true? Not&#8230;? Not by name. Conservative white people. Oh, I see what you thought. When he says &#8220;conservative,&#8221; you think me. I\u2019m not mentioned my name in this, but conservative white people? Democrat Party, don\u2019t go anywhere near it! Don\u2019t try. Don\u2019t even get close. Don\u2019t even get within smelling range of conservative white people. Just write \u2019em off. So that\u2019s where.<\/p>\n<p>And this is the advice the Democrats are getting from people that they listen to, okay? So they\u2019re gonna continue to marginalize themselves which is another reason why&#8230; Since the Democrats can\u2019t win at the ballot box, they\u2019ve got to get rid of Trump some other way, and it is underway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH:  This is the advice the Democrats are getting from people that they listen to, okay?
