Great to have you. I\u2019m glad you waited. How are you?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Thanks, Rush. I\u2019m a bit elderly and all. I\u2019ve been a Democrat almost all my life, and the other day my son, Edmund &#8212; he\u2019s in his sixties &#8212; came over and said, &#8220;We\u2019re gonna listen to this guy talk,&#8221; and sure enough it was a speech that I believe the president made, and I said &#8212; first of all, I said &#8212; &#8220;Boy! Wake up! You\u2019re sleeping! Edmund!&#8221; He woke up, and we listened to this guy, and I\u2019m telling you, after I listened to that man, I believe he is JFK. I swore I was back when I was young. I listened to that man talk, and it reminded me of JFK, and I don\u2019t believe I will ever vote for another Democrat in my life.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So what speech of mine was I giving that you heard?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-224139\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/650-030317-Open-Line-Friday.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/650-030317-Open-Line-Friday.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/650-030317-Open-Line-Friday-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>CALLER: I believe it was a speech by Mr. Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I knew that! (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: From time to time, I get confused but I believe it was the president.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I know. Was it the Tuesday night speech to the joint session of Congress? Was it this week?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, yeah.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: He was talking to the congresspeople in the speech.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hPWS-CN_Xi0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay, well, good. Now, see? So that one speech made you&#8230; Now, JFK for him? Model. JFK was it. JFK was young, glamorous, Camelot, funny, engaging. Congress loved him. I mean, that is like in my parents\u2019 generation, Walter Cronkite. If you were gonna go into broadcasting, if you weren\u2019t gonna be Walter Cronkite, you may as well not go into it. Even after I\u2019d try and tell my parents that he was the epitome of left-wing bias. Well, my dad knew it. My grandfather wouldn\u2019t believe it. (chuckles) JFK. That\u2019s big, folks. That\u2019s big.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-224240\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/JFKSOTU.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/JFKSOTU.jpg 594w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/JFKSOTU-300x229.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>His 60-year-old son comes over, makes him watch Trump. (chuckling) I appreciate the call, Rocky. I think that kind of thing happened&#8230; You know, folks, do not doubt me. There are people who heard that speech, and it was the first time in their lives they heard Donald Trump say anything. The people who didn\u2019t vote for him, didn\u2019t watch his rallies. They only know what the media said about him. His son made him watch that speech.<\/p>\n<p>I guarantee you that are millions of Rockys out there.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, hundreds of thousands.<\/p>\n<p>Take your pick.<\/p>\n<p>But there\u2019s a lot of them that had that exact reaction, who had never heard Trump speak before. And I remember when I said this on Wednesday, after Trump\u2019s speech, I had a lot of emails. &#8220;Come, Rush! It\u2019s not&#8230; People aren\u2019t that segregated anymore.&#8221; Don\u2019t doubt me on this. The left, you do not know how they sequester themselves. Folks, they\u2019ve got their little security jackets and bubbles they live in, and they don\u2019t let anything in that isn\u2019t preapproved. These are snowflakes. They\u2019re not gonna let anything in that\u2019s gonna upset them. I guarantee you, there are more people that heard Trump for the first time than you would believe in that speech Tuesday night.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CALLER: I&#039;m telling you, after I listened to that man, I believe he is JFK.
