RUSH: Saturday is Earth Day, the highest \u201chigh holy day\u201d for environmentalist wackos all over the world. In addition to the usual kooks who always show up at Earth Day events this year there will be geeks.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a big political protest planned. Thousands of scientists will supposedly march on Washington to protest what they call the Trump Administration\u2019s \u201cassault\u201d on evidence-based thinking. They\u2019ll also protest the new EPA budget and the elimination of global warming funding.<\/p>\n

Many of the scientists expected at the protest are employed by the federal government. For now. They\u2019re worried that under Trump, their life\u2019s work might be disregarded and their jobs might be eliminated.<\/p>\n

Bill Nye the Science Guy is an honorary co-chair of the event. Figures. He only has \u201chonorary degrees\u201d in science; he isn\u2019t a scientist at all. He\u2019s a performance artist and a geek. So he\u2019s the perfect choice to lead a protest supporting the global warming hoax .<\/p>\n

\"\"News reports preview some of the protest signs to be unveiled on Saturday. \u201cMake America Smart Again\u201d is one. And try this question-and-answer banner: \u201cWhat do we want? Evidence-based policy. When do we want it? After peer review.\u201d That\u2019s gonna light them up. Can\u2019t wait to see what kind of violence this inspires.<\/p>\n

But at least this Earth-Day \u201cmarch of the liberal scientists\u201d has potential. It could be one of most ridiculous, pompous protests in American history \u2013 and therefore good for a great laugh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
