RUSH: At the risk of bringing this thing back up because I don\u2019t want it to start dominating the show again, I gotta talk a little bit about the port deal, because this business with Bill and Hillary is just too much. Hillary does not know<\/a> that Bill is lobbying for the port deal. Bill goes to Dubai, he takes big bucks, total of 600 grand in the last four years to make speeches over there. He is advising the United Arab Emirates on how to get this deal done here. It was Clinton who told them, you go in and you propose a 45-day examination delay here so people can examine this and make sure that you\u2019re no threat to security. He\u2019s been advising these people how to do it. All the while Hillary has been out there denouncing the deal, saying it\u2019s horrible, it\u2019s typical Bush, it\u2019s secret, he doesn\u2019t know what\u2019s going on, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. <\/line>(Story<\/a>) “Department of Justice lawyers in the Office of Legal Counsel were attempting to determine if former President Bill Clinton had registered as an ‘Agent of a Foreign Principal.\u2019 Federal statute requires that anyone — even a former President — doing political or public affairs work on behalf of a foreign country, agency or official must register with the Department, and essentially update his status every six months. It was not clear the Clinton had done so. If his status is less clear, here is what we do know: If Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton did not know about her husband\u2019s standing with the United Arab Emirates and with Dubai World Ports, members of her Senate staff most assuredly did.” because it has to be on her reporting documents, her financial disclosure forms. His income, her income, all of it gets reported. The Dubai money had to be on there. <\/line>“‘There were enough people in the Clintons\u2019 orbit who were potentially going to be part of the deal,\u2019 says an employee of a firm that does work for both Clintons. ‘We were pursuing work on the ports deal, and we cleared our participation with Clinton\u2019s office. We didn\u2019t want there to be a conflict.\u2019 In fact, at least two senior outside advisers to Senator Clinton were attempting to get business out of the Port Deal, and President Clinton was the go-between. Associates with the Glover Park Group, which houses just about the entire shadow staff for Hillary\u2019s run-up to a Democratic presidential bid, were attempting to get a slice of the DPW deal before the deal was made public about three weeks ago. According to current and former President Clinton staff, Hillary Clinton\u2019s Senate office was aware that Glover Park was in the running to do work on the DPW deal. ‘She was also very much aware of President Clinton\u2019s financial arrangements with the UAE,\u2019 says a former Bill Clinton staffer.”<\/line>I mean, we\u2019ve got these staffs leaking on each other now, anonymously. This is in the American Spectator today. “‘We\u2019re talking about more than a million dollars, some of paid out soon out after they left the White House. That income helped the Clintons buy the properties that allow them to live both in New York and Washington, D.C. This was not an insignificant financial arrangement.'” United Arab Emirates gave somewhere between half a million and a million to the Clinton Library and Massage Parlor, and Hillary is out there, she does not know, she does not know what Bill is doing. <\/line><\/p>\n

You want to hear some of the names of these people that were wanting to get in on the money side of this deal? Try Madeleine Albright. Try Vernon Jordan. Try Bill Cohen. “What is not clear is whether or not the junior Senator from New York was aware that Clinton was acting as an agent of a foreign principal, which Clinton clearly was. According to sources with knowledge of the deal, President Clinton was advising members of the DPW buyout team in the UAE, London, and Washington before the deal hit the headlines. He encouraged them to hire a number of people working in consulting firms based in Washington with whom he had both personal and financial ties: The Cohen Group, the Albright Group, and the Glover Park Group. Other sources claim that longtime Clinton confidante and golf partner Vernon Jordan\u2019s name was also suggested as potential helpful fixer in the capital,” in the Washington side of this. <\/line>Now here\u2019s my question, and before you start asking, “So, Rush, does this change your impression of the port deal?” It may. But I don\u2019t think this has anything to do with making the ports less secure. I still don\u2019t buy that argument. But nevertheless, what is it that Hillary and the Democrats all say about George W. Bush? “How could he not have known about the Dubai Ports World deal until it happened? He\u2019s so out of touch, why, he\u2019s so concerned with national security, he didn\u2019t even know about this?” <\/line>Well, then how in the world could Hillary Clinton not know that her husband was paid hundreds of thousands, if not millions, as a consultant, and part of his responsibility was to make sure the deal got done? If she\u2019s covering up by pleading ignorance, then don\u2019t we — how can this possibly be? Now, I know these people probably don\u2019t spend a whole lot of time together, folks, we know there\u2019s not a whole lot of pillow talk going on here if she didn\u2019t know, but it\u2019s hard to believe she didn\u2019t know. She has to know because of the financial reporting requirements on those disclosure forms, but to not know that Bill — he\u2019s over there making speeches. She has to know this. So while they\u2019re out there talking about Bush lied, “He knew there weren\u2019t any weapons of mass destruction, he knew that we didn\u2019t have any military reason to go into Iraq, he knew all that and he didn\u2019t even know about the port deal? Why, he\u2019s out of it, he\u2019s in the bubble.” <\/line>Mrs. Clinton, I hope you know how this is making you look. I mean, it\u2019s stretching credibility again and credulity to believe that she didn\u2019t know anything about this. I mean, the bombshell to me is that Hillary\u2019s staff knew that Bill was trying to get people involved in this deal, that he was brokering the deal, he was trying to spread the financial aspects of it around to a bunch of his friends, and Hillary\u2019s staff knew it. That\u2019s the bombshell. Hillary\u2019s staff knew all this was going on. Clinton\u2019s staff and Hillary\u2019s staff are talking to each other back and forth, and Hillary\u2019s out there ripping the deal to shreds while Bill is out there lobbying for it saying that she didn\u2019t know that he was involved.<\/line>END TRANSCRIPT<\/line><\/p>\n
