Shh! Shh! Shh! Shh!<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: &#8212; do you think liberals &#8212;<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Shh! Shh! Shh! Shh!<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: &#8212; will apologize to you and acknowledge that you were right?<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Shh! Shh! Shh! Shh! Shh! Shh! <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: (chuckles)<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! Don\u2019t tell the liberals that we don\u2019t have to kill babies now for stem cells. Don\u2019t tell them! You will ruin their day.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: It\u2019s all over with now.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Oh, this could be devastating to them. Here they just got power back in the House of Representatives and the Senate, and there\u2019s news out today that you don\u2019t have to kill babies now to get stem cells &#8212; and there you go blowing it all over national radio.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: There could be new liberals being born though now that they don\u2019t kill so many.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Shh! That\u2019s why: they\u2019re aborting themselves out of existence. Here are the details. This is from the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/washingtontimes.com\/national\/20070108-124236-8204r.htm\">Associated Press<\/a>, their biotech writer. &#8220;Scientists reported yesterday that they had found a plentiful source of stem cells in the fluid that cushions babies in the womb and produced a variety of tissue types from these cells, sidestepping the controversy over destroying embryos for research. This happened at Wake Forest University, also at Harvard. Researches from both institutions of higher learning reported the stem cells that they drew from amniotic fluid donated by pregnant women holds about as much the same promise as embryonic stem cells.&#8221;<\/line><BR\/>Well, that\u2019s not good, because there is <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stemcellresearch.org\/facts\/treatments.htm\">no promise<\/a> so far from embryonic stem cells. Anyway, they reported at least you don\u2019t need to kill babies to do the experiments. &#8220;They reported they were able to extract the stem cells without harm to mother or fetus and turn their discovery into several different types of cell types, including brain, liver, and bone.&#8221; This really is a breakthrough, and I, ladies and gentlemen, am owed an apology. I\u2019m owed an apology from every one of you people out there who criticized me for not understanding this and getting this all wrong, but of course I\u2019m owed an apology for lots of things and they will never be forthcoming.
