RUSH: Lee, or Leah, not sure which, Greenville, South Carolina, welcome to the EIB Network. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, Rush, it\u2019s Leah, your six-year-old daughter from South Carolina. I just thought I\u2019d wish you a happy birthday.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (Laughing.) Alright, with whom are you my daughter?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Biologically I\u2019m 37, but Limbaughlogically I was born into the Limbaugh family a little over six years ago.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m glad you cleared this up with me. Did you and Snerdley kind of cook this up as a little trick as a way to say hello to me today?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, actually I thought about it a couple weeks ago. I read your autobiography and I knew your birthday was coming up, and I just thought this would be a good time to call and wish you happy birthday.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s awfully nice. That is very clever. You\u2019re calling as a six-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I started listening to you in November of 2000 after the election and really wasn\u2019t too in tune with news at that point in time, and since I started listening to your show I do a whole lot more reading of current events both in US and around the world.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How was your outlook on life changed?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, at the time my father had just passed away, and I was in a job that I hated, and I just felt life was so bleak, and then after I started listening to your show I thought, “You know, maybe there is some hope, and if I just keep hanging in there and plugging away, and finding out what I\u2019m good at, and do that I\u2019ll be successful.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: What\u2019s that? What is it that you\u2019re good at?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am in sales, and so I match what my company does with companies that have a need. I\u2019m an employment service, so I find people that need jobs, and I find companies that need good workers, and I match those two things up, and I feel good about what I do at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you\u2019re a headhunter. Are you commissioned sales?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well… Little do people know who aren\u2019t in it: it\u2019s a tough racket, but there\u2019s tremendous financial opportunity at it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Well, listen, as your daughter in South Carolina, people are always telling you that you need to have children so you can, you know, tell \u2019em, “Look, I already have one in South Carolina,” take the pressure off. <\/p>\n

RUSH: (Laughing.)<\/p>\n

CALLER: But we have a great charity golf tournament here every spring up at the Cliffs of Glassy. It\u2019s a tremendous golf course is up there. Gary Player just relocated his organization here, and if you ever come up here to play some golf, I would love to, as your daughter, take you to dinner.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow. Well, who could resist an invitation to go to dinner with their daughter?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I would love to do that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. This is scary. The actual thought of this is scary. Not going to dinner with you, but having a daughter. Anyway…<\/p>\n

CALLER: I promise I\u2019m hardworking and I\u2019m not looking —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m just kidding.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — to your house and to be one of these people that are, you know, in their thirties still living with their parents.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You say that now.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, no. That\u2019s one of my rules for dating people: I won\u2019t date any guy who still lives with his mother.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Amen! Amen! You have a brilliant, bright future ahead of you. Don\u2019t change your standards.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I will keep listening to your program —<\/p>\n

RUSH: That will help.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — and meeting with you five days a week. Although I do feel a little hurt sometimes when you leave me in the hands of a babysitter when you\u2019re on vacation with some of those guest hosts. You have some that are very good, but they\u2019re still not you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: She\u2019s funny. This is great. Leah, I gotta run because of time. Thank you so much. All the best to you. I appreciate the call.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Happy birthday.<\/p>\n
