We had this in the sound bite roster last Friday, but I was so distracted when that show started yesterday, I didn\u2019t even have a chance to read the whole thing. We had this Friday, I missed it, my bad, but you gotta hear this. This was late Thursday <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/nation\/washington\/articles\/2007\/01\/12\/with_bangs_of_gavel_frank_lays_down_law\">on the House floor<\/a>. Barney Frank was up there acting as the speaker. The speaker seldom goes to the House floor, only in ceremonial situations or close votes. They always rotate who gets to go up, the same thing in the Senate. They got different people that actually run the show. Barney Frank had the gavel. This is a bunch of Republicans trying to make a point about Nancy Pelosi\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/news\/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53747\">StarKist tuna giveaway<\/a>. This is the minimum wage exemption that Samoa got because StarKist tuna is in her district, Del Monte. You know what was learned later on? That her husband, Paul Pelosi, owns $17 million in stock in StarKist, or Del Monte, and that really raised some hackles. So Republicans are trying to make a point about this, trying to insert an exemption for Samoa, Democrats are into the stem cell bill. This is Representative Patrick McHenry from North Carolina and Barney Frank. Listen to this exchange. Barney has the gavel.<\/line><BR\/><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/stop_the_tape.Par.0002.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"223\" height=\"164\" class=\"alignright\"\/> FRANK: Yes, the gentleman may state the inquiry.<\/line><BR\/>McHENRY: So the chair is saying that I may not offer an amendment exempting American Samoa &#8212; <\/line><BR\/>FRANK: The gentleman will suspend! The gentleman is making a speech and will suspend. The chair is not saying anything &#8212; <\/line><BR\/>McHENRY: If the chair will let me finish my question. <\/line><BR\/>FRANK: (pounding gavel) The gentleman will suspend. The chair has answered the gentleman\u2019s question. The gentlemen will state the point of order. <\/line><BR\/>McHENRY: How many times &#8212; <\/line><BR\/>FRANK: No. No. The gentleman &#8212; (pounding gavel) the gentleman &#8212; &#8221;how many times&#8221; could not conceivably be a point of order. <\/line><BR\/>McHENRY: If the chair will not answer my question &#8212; <\/line><BR\/>FRANK: The gentleman will not interrupt. (pounding gavel)<\/line><BR\/>McHENRY: Is exempted from this legislation. <\/line><BR\/>FRANK: (pounding gavel) The gentleman will not &#8212; well, the chair is presiding, will not make speeches in the guise of a parliament inquiry. (pounding gavel) The gentlemen will suspend. The gentlemen &#8212; <\/line><BR\/>McHENRY: Point of order. <\/line><BR\/>FRANK: The gentlemen from Texas will suspend. Gentlemen will suspend (imitating pounding gavel) It sounds like he\u2019s chopping meat with that gavel. I mean the spittle was flying all over. (Laughing.) We\u2019re going to have to keep this in the roster. This is one of the all time audience bites, Barney Frank &#8212; these guys, they couldn\u2019t wait to get their power back. ?Shut up, shut up, you can\u2019t speak, bam, bam, you can\u2019t talk!? (Laughing). ?The gentleman will suspend!? <\/line><BR\/>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/line><\/p>\n<p><BR\/>RUSH: Now I\u2019m being accused of not being honest about the Barney Frank sound bite. ?You looped that, that\u2019s the same thing over and over again. That\u2019s what it sounds like to me.? No, my friends, this is 50 seconds, Barney Frank and Patrick McHenry from North Carolina arguing. McHenry is trying to get something in the stem cell bill about Nancy Pelosi\u2019s exemption for the minimum wage increase for American Samoa. <\/line><BR\/>So listen to it again, understand nothing is looped here, nothing is repeated, only television networks do that without telling you, using video of me. We, whenever we loop something, tell you. But mostly involving liberals, we don\u2019t, like the gravitas sound bite, all those journalists referring to gravitas. We don\u2019t loop things unless we do it for effect here. But we didn\u2019t loop this.
