I\u2019m glad you waited. Open Line Friday. The program\u2019s all yours, so make it count.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Okay, Rush. I have been a Democrat since I was 21 years old. I\u2019ve listened to you and sometimes if I could get through the wire I\u2019d absolutely strangle you because I don\u2019t agree with everything, but I just moved, and I had to re-register, you know, and by listening to you and all, I registered as a Republican.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Yes!<\/line><BR\/><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125114.Par.0002.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"192\" height=\"210\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CALLER: Now, my problem is this. When Nancy Pelosi took over, you know, as speaker of the House, I knew we were going to have problems, because any grandmother that cannot control her grandchildren, like the kid was, you know, playing with the microphone and the little hammer and the papers, and she kept pulling him up. I knew we were in trouble, she couldn\u2019t control the &#8212;<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: It never ceases to amaze me to learn how people make political judgments on the competence of elected officials. You knew that she was going to bomb because she couldn\u2019t control the grandkids in the House chamber?<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: That\u2019s right. That was absolutely embarrassing. I felt embarrassed for her.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: The Drive-By Media was talking about how wonderful this was that she would balance and bop the little grandkids on her knee while protecting the country at the same time.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Right. She couldn\u2019t even protect the microphone or her papers. But I gotta tell you something else, you owe me an apology. While I was sitting here waiting to talk to you, you had to play that tape of Jim Carver [sic&#8211;Carville], and I can\u2019t stand to watch him let alone listen to him. (Laughing.) I shouldn\u2019t have said that, but that\u2019s true.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: That\u2019s quite all right.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: His rantings and ravings &#8212;<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: We love Jim <emphasize>Carver <\/emphasize>here. We play a lot of his audio. He\u2019s fun to laugh at.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: But where you and I disagreed is just because I was a Democrat doesn\u2019t mean that I\u2019m an illiterate liberal, you know?<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Yes, it does. Nine out of ten times it does.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yeah.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: There are some southern Democrats, Reagan Democrats, there are some Democrats. But why are they Democrats?<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yeah, well, I was from Missouri, and my grandpa was, my dad was, my mom was &#8212;<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Yeah, I know. People are Democrats because the family members were.<\/line><\/p>\n<p><BR\/>CALLER: Yeah.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: You still want to crawl through the wire and strangle me?<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Whenever you said about all the Democrats being illiterate and liberal because we aren\u2019t all that way.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: I never said that.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yes, you have.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: No, I\u2019ve never said that Democrats are that.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Well, you have implied it.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: No, I\u2019ve not <emphasize>implied <\/emphasize>that they\u2019re illiterate. I\u2019ve implied that.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: That we don\u2019t have good judgment.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: That\u2019s true, but that\u2019s not illiterate.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yeah, okay.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: You\u2019re confusing me with James <emphasize>Carver.<\/emphasize><\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yeah. (Laughing.) I can\u2019t believe it. It\u2019s the first time I tried to call you and I got through.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Well, I\u2019m glad you did. It\u2019s happy to have you on the reservation.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Well, thank you for everything. I\u2019ll probably continue to disagree on some things.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Like what?<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: You know, I don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t know.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: You\u2019re not going to disagree on much. <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: No.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: You just think you should as a matter of principle because you\u2019re a Democrat and I\u2019m not.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Well, you know, I\u2019m a great-grandmother and I\u2019m very proud and I\u2019m a very young great-grandmother. But I think if we have a woman as a president and all, I mean just because their name is Clinton doesn\u2019t mean she\u2019s the wonderful person I\u2019m sure she is, but I don\u2019t think other heads of state and that of different countries. They kind of back off whenever they have to talk to a woman that\u2019s more or less a man\u2019s job, I feel.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Well&#8230;<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: I\u2019m from the old school.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: That\u2019s not universally true. People talk to Condoleezza Rice. But, I\u2019ll tell you what this indicates to me out there, Laura, and that is that if Mrs. Clinton gets the nomination, the idea that women are going to vote for her in droves is wrong.
