CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you? Thank you so much for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

\"\"CALLER: And, by the way, you can call me “dear” any time and I\u2019d be flattered. I\u2019m calling because when I heard Michelle Obama talk about being first time proud of her country, I was disgusted. I was just so sickened, but I have to tell you, Rush, for the first time in my adult life, I am not proud of at least half of my country. And I just feel like people are just so messed up in what they believe and what they think. It\u2019s crazy. Yesterday was the anniversary of my three children\u2019s father\u2019s death. He died from bladder cancer that they said was because he was one of the first responders of 9\/11, and he\u2019d been, you know, six months down there with the cleanup.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And, you know, my kids have had to grieve their father and deal with all this nonsense from these hate groups about vilifying the police officers. My husband got up every day, put on that uniform. He didn\u2019t care if people were black or white or what political affiliation they had, he went out to serve his country and to serve his community. And, you know, the fact that my kids have had to deal with all this nonsense while grieving him is just pathetic.<\/p>\n

And, you know what? I have a good suggestion for Jimmy Kimmel. You know, instead of having that pathetic charade of all these people parading out to thank and cry for Hillary Clinton who is just a hollow person, maybe he should have a police family on there and maybe they should be giving thanks to them.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, there would be a problem. I appreciate your sentiments, and God bless you and your family. But I think crying, it\u2019s almost become part of the shtick now. And so he can\u2019t have people on there that are — I mean, he can\u2019t start crying over the plight of the cops because for people on the left, the cops are part of the problem. We\u2019ve got tears over health care. We\u2019ve got tears now over Las Vegas and gun control. Tears over this and that. It\u2019s a strange thing to be part of the shtick of a comedy show. But that\u2019s where it has evolved.<\/p>\n

Look, I know this has gotta be frustrating. You are great example of the perspective that people who\u2019ve become the targets in all of this. Law enforcement have become targets for Black Lives Matter and now the NFL, for crying out loud. When you boil it down, police officers are now the targets. If you\u2019re saying you\u2019re standing in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick, then you have to be, to be honest, say you\u2019re protesting the bloodthirstiness of the law enforcement community, police officers and so forth.
