{"id":253134,"date":"2017-11-01T15:50:00","date_gmt":"2017-11-01T19:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/admin.rushlimbaugh.com\/?p=253134"},"modified":"2017-11-02T15:58:51","modified_gmt":"2017-11-02T19:58:51","slug":"drive-bys-and-democrats-shield-terrorist-blame-the-truck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/daily\/2017\/11\/01\/drive-bys-and-democrats-shield-terrorist-blame-the-truck\/","title":{"rendered":"Drive-Bys and Democrats Shield Terrorist, Blame the Truck!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: I want to give you a summary of some headlines here. &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/freebeacon.com\/national-security\/cnn-reporter-declines-to-share-physical-description-of-suspect-in-new-york-truck-attack\/\">CNN Reporter Declines to Share Physical Description of Suspect in New York Attack<\/a> &#8212; CNN reporter Shimon Prokupecz told viewers Tuesday he would not share the description of the suspect believed to be responsible for multiple deaths in New York City. &#8230; Propkupecz described the scene as the driver striking people from behind and then running into a school bus. &#8216;Police know who he is,\u2019 Propkupecz said. &#8216;They have a description of him. I\u2019m not going to share that at the moment.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Why not? So here is another CNN reporter not willing to assist law enforcement. Why might that be? This is not hard to guess. The CNN reporter recognized that this guy more than likely is a militant Islamist, and it\u2019s not politically correct to blame them ever. So he in good conscience using every bit of training he\u2019s had and political correctness: I am above this, I\u2019m a reporter, I can\u2019t choose sides, I\u2019m not gonna help the cops. The cops know.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TWSG3wXwvds\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This reminds me of Bernard Shaw, a former CNN prime time anchor. And this is way back when CNN was the only cable news network running back in the first Gulf War, which was when we eradicated Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait. And we had a bombing run on the al-Rashid Hotel in Baghdad, where Bernard Shaw and his crew happened to be staying. So the United States military gave Bernard Shaw and his crew a heads-up to get out of there because they were part of an attack. And Bernard Shaw and he crew got out of there. When Bernard Shaw and his crew got home, the U.S. military wanted to debrief them for any intelligence that might be useful that they had seen while they were in Baghdad.<\/p>\n<p>Bernard Shaw refused. (paraphrased) &#8220;As a journalist, the sacred principles of journalism that I live by prevent me from taking sides,&#8221; said Bernard Shaw. &#8220;I refuse to be debriefed by U.S. military.&#8221; Really? Those are my naive days. Those are back in the days when I thought we were all in this together whatever our domestic differences were. When Americans were at war, I actually thought we were all Americans. So I was shocked, I was stunned, I was mad &#8212; everything you could possibly be &#8212; at Bernard Shaw.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-242904\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FB-080217-Combat-300x158.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"158\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FB-080217-Combat-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/FB-080217-Combat.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>&#8220;As a journalist, I can\u2019t choose sides.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I kept saying, &#8220;Where do you think your freedom comes from, Buddy? Where do you think your First Amendment rights as a journalist come from? Did Saddam Hussein write those rights for you? Are they enshrined in the Iraqi constitution? Where do you get them? What gives you the freedom to do what you do?&#8221; In other words, the library of his freedom is the United States of America. Bernard Shaw saw no reason to choose sides, and now this CNN reporter declined to share a physical description of the suspect. &#8220;Media Outlets&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is The Daily Caller. &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2017\/10\/31\/media-outlets-bury-allahu-akbar-in-reports-on-nyc-terror-attack\/\">Media Outlets Bury &#8216;Allahu Akbar\u2019 in Reports of New York City Terror Attack<\/a> &#8212; The New York Times and other media outlets buried the phrase &#8216;Allahu akbar\u2019 in reports on the man who carried out what authorities are treating as a deadly terror attack in New York City on Tuesday. A breaking banner on TheNYT website said the man &#8216;yelled &#8220;God is great&#8221; in Arabic,'&#8221; it\u2019s what they wrote, &#8220;and the same indirect reporting remained in a blurb on the homepage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8216;The police said the driver shouted \u2018God is great\u2019 in Arabic and was shot and taken to a hospital,\u2019 the paper stated. Ditto the Washington Post. &#8220;CNN also chose not to mention the Islamic phrase on its homepage&#8221; used by the driver. &#8220;Allahu Akbar&#8221; was not used. Over on CNN, Jake Tapper said, &#8220;You know, Allahu Akbar is sometimes said under the most beautiful of circumstances, and too often we hear it being said in moments like this.&#8221; Well, that reminds me of Obama. &#8220;One of the most beautiful sounds ever is the call to morning prayer in Islam.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-253159\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNtapperJihad.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNtapperJihad.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNtapperJihad-300x140.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Okay, fine and dandy.<\/p>\n<p>So here\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrctv.org\/blog\/cnns-tapper-calls-allahu-akbar-beautiful-after-ny-truck-attack-deemed-terrorist-act\">Jake Tapper<\/a>: &#8220;You know, Allahu Akbar, we too often hear if said during terrorist attacks, but sometimes it\u2019s said under the most beautiful of circumstance.&#8221; What is this? What can possibly explain the left\u2019s sympathetic alliance with a terrorist? What can explain this, folks? What can explain a CNN reporter choosing not to help police apprehend the perp? What can explain an unwillingness of the media to correctly and properly identify what the perp actually said at the moment of attack? Why are so many on the left, and particularly in the United States Drive-By Media, so sympathetic to people who commit these terror attacks? Well, there\u2019s an answer, of course. I asked the question somewhat rhetorically.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Back to the audio sound bites, once more from Andrew Cuomo, the older brother of Fredo Cuomo, who\u2019s the morning anchor on CNN. He was on CBS This Morning talking about the terror attack yesterday. Norah O\u2019Donnell said, &#8220;What are we learning about the suspect&#8230;?&#8221; Every time! &#8220;What are we learning about the suspect? Did he have any accomplices?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CUOMO: The best evidence we had is that he was, quote, unquote, &#8220;a lone wolf,&#8221; uhhh, model.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No.<\/p>\n<p>CUOMO: There\u2019s no evidence now that it was part of a larger conspiracy, larger plot. A depraved coward, in my opinion, rented a truck, and, uh, we lost eight people.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-253183\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-110117-ny-003.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-110117-ny-003.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-110117-ny-003-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>RUSH: Is that what&#8230;? Governor, is that really what you want to go with, &#8220;a depraved coward,&#8221; in your opinion, &#8220;rented a truck and we lost eight people&#8221;? The whole point is, this guy has backup. He\u2019s got an entire community or neighborhood that gives him moral support, that buttresses him! He\u2019s not a lone wolf and a coward. That\u2019s the whole point of the Diversity Visa Program. It\u2019s the whole point of the necessity being to vet for Sharia supremacists and prevent them from getting in.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s got a network of people who think exactly like he does, who inspire him, motivate him, encourage him. He\u2019s exactly not a lone wolf! That\u2019s the whole point. He may have been the only guy in the commission of this crime, but he\u2019s not alone, and he\u2019s not rogue. That\u2019s what they want you to believe so that you don\u2019t think you\u2019re in danger. &#8220;It\u2019s a one off. These things happen!&#8221; By the way, have you heard a variation of, &#8220;Hey, this is what living in a free society is today. This is one of the sacrifices we must make.&#8221; Have you heard that going around?<\/p>\n<p>I have. It\u2019s exactly how the leftists deal with this. &#8220;Well, you want freedom? You don\u2019t want us running everything about your life? This is what you\u2019re gonna have to pay for! This is how you pay for a guy like Trump. This is how you pay for freedom. You\u2019re gonna have to sacrifice now and then. There\u2019s gonna be randomly eight people dead now and then. Nothing we can do about it. Cowards can rent trucks.&#8221; Nicholas Kristof of the New York Times last night with <a href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2017\/10\/24\/the-corker-kerfuffle-and-other-examples-of-the-left-melting-under-the-pressure-of-trump\/\">Don Lemon &#8212; who did not cry in this particular bite<\/a> &#8212; had this little chitchat here about the event.<\/p>\n<p>KRISTOF: This is incredibly complicated and there is no silver bullet. If anything, it\u2019s like silver buckshot. We can do more with intelligence. We can do more with trying to limit the access people have to weapons, including trucks.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: What!<\/p>\n<p>KRISTOF: The New York City Police Department has an outstanding counterterrorism operation. And indeed, they\u2019ve tried very hard to prevent truck-rental organizations from renting to people who might blow things up. But you can\u2019t get perfect compliance.<\/p>\n<p>LEMON: Uh, because w-when you&#8230; Um&#8230; When you think about Oklahoma City, right, that was a Ryder truck, correct?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-253164\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-110117-New-York-Terror.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-110117-New-York-Terror.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-110117-New-York-Terror-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>KRISTOF: I think that\u2019s right.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Are you kidding? These guys are talking about the truck now! This truck was a Home Depot truck. So why don\u2019t you go get Arthur Blank and put him in jail? He owns the Falcons and started Home Depot, along with Ken Langone, another rich Republican. Go after those two guys for starting Home Depot. Can you believe this? This is Nicholas Kristof. &#8220;We have to limit the access people have to weapons, including trucks.&#8221; Truck control! Unbelievable. Nowhere near even identifying much less getting to the root of the problem.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Are you serious? We want to now profile Muslims who rent trucks? We\u2019ll have a seven-day waiting period? Do you realize that would be more controversial than refusing to bake a cake for a gay wedding? Somebody actually came up with that idea? Even though the media is proposing it here?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: We have here a montage. Every time this happens we go through a charade. The charade is that the Drive-By Media will do anything other than identify or admit that the terrorist is a Muslim. Suicide by cop.<\/p>\n<p>JULIETTE KAYYEM: This was a man who, you know, suicide by cop.<\/p>\n<p>MICHAEL HAYDEN: We may find that this is just an isolated young man, saddened.<\/p>\n<p>BOB BAER: It\u2019s impossible to get into the mind of these people.<\/p>\n<p>CHRIS MATTHEWS: As an Uzbeki, why would he have an animus toward the United States?<\/p>\n<p>WILLIAMS: A good question.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Why would he have an animus toward the United States? It\u2019s not that he\u2019s Uzbeki, Chris. It\u2019s that he is a Muslim Islamist supremacist, a Sharia supremacist. Why?<\/p>\n<p>Why are members of the American media and the Democrat Party sympathetic to individuals who kill Americans in cold blood for the purposes of overthrowing American civilization? Why are the Democrats and the media sympathetic to these people? Here\u2019s Jake Tapper. I read his quote earlier, but here he is last night on his show on CNN, The Lead with Jake Tapper.<\/p>\n<p>SHIMON PROKUPECZ: They heard the driver saying, yelling, &#8220;Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,&#8221; during this incident, which is now leading authorities to believe that this is, as a result, that this is now a terrorism case.<\/p>\n<p>TAPPER: The Arabic chant Allahu Akbar, God is great, um, sometimes said under the most beautiful of circumstances and too often we hear of it being said in moments like this.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Wait, wait, wait. Jake, what was it, the Arabic chant, Allahu Akbar, God is great, sometimes under the most beautiful circumstances and too often we hear of it being said. We didn\u2019t hear of it being. We heard it. Nobody told us he said &#8212; people heard him say it, Jake. It\u2019s just a shame \u2019cause most of the time it can be beautiful, but too often we hear of it being said in moments like this. It\u2019s sad the guy had to identify, it\u2019s sad the guy had to tell us who he is. Now we can\u2019t cover it up. Ah, damn. I had to present a birth certificate just to change my address on my driver\u2019s license because I have a CDL license. They said the birth certificate was not good enough. But you have to take the birth certificate to the state for them to issue a certificate that says that you have a valid birth certificate.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: We have to take a Social Security card here in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, terrorists and criminals, it\u2019s just like the gun laws. They\u2019re not following the laws. So the people that are abiding by the laws are the ones that have to jump through all these hoops.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Right. This guy just went out and rented a truck from Arthur Blank and Ken Langone. It\u2019s Home Depot. I\u2019m just invoking their names \u2019cause I\u2019m getting giddy here. CNN is fake news!<\/p>\n<p>COOPER: I mean some of the attacks in Europe that we\u2019ve seen &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>HECKLER: CNN is fake news! CNN is fake news!
