RUSH: I made a prediction on Monday. We spent a lot of time on Monday with toilet paper demonstrations, one sheet and all that, bouncing off Sheryl Crow\u2019s admonition that we ‘save the planet\u2019 by using one square of toilet paper per bathroom visit, and I said this. This is what I said on Monday on this very program.<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE: Here\u2019s the lesson. She\u2019s serious about this. Now, I fully expect, by the way, before the end of the day, ‘We were just joking to make a point,\u2019 is what they\u2019ll say. But they\u2019re serious about it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, sure enough — because I know these people, folks. I know them like every square inch of my glorious (and still, amazingly, shrinking) naked body. Here\u2019s Sheryl Crow yesterday on Good Morning America. The correspondent, Bianna Golodryga (I never heard of her) was interviewing Sheryl Crow, and the producer of An Inconvenient Truth, Laurie David, on their global warming tour bus and they had this exchange about toilet paper.<\/p>\n

GOLODRYGA: I wanted to go by and see if I could spare a square in your — in your bathroom there —<\/p>\n

CROW: (Cackling.)<\/p>\n

DAVID: (Cackling.)<\/p>\n

GOLODRYGA: Tell us how this happened.<\/p>\n

CROW: We leave an empty roll in there.<\/p>\n

ALL: (Cackling.)<\/p>\n

CROW: We\u2019ve run out of toilet paper.<\/p>\n

DAVID: Yeah, we have run out of toilet paper!<\/p>\n

CROW: We\u2019re just — we\u2019re just so happy that people are talking about global warming today, even if it\u2019s brought about by a joke.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, they also wrote their piece on the Huffing and Puffington Post out there saying that it was all a joke. But it was not a joke. This has been on the wacko environmentalist list of \u201950 Things to do to Save the Planet\u2019 since the late eighties. So, it\u2019s not a big deal here. I just wanted to let you know. I predicted it. I know what they\u2019re going to do before they even do it. By the way, CNN went to me, America\u2019s Anchorman, and a caller to demonstrate the nation\u2019s reaction to the requirement of Sheryl Crow, the one-square solution for bathroom visits. This is a montage here of reporter Jeannie Most\u2019s story.<\/p>\n

MOST: (toilet paper) This is a story that kept unrolling and unrolling. A toilet paper tale that stretched round the world, from Australia to London. Rush Limbaugh\u2019s listeners rushed to experiment.<\/p>\n

EIB CALLER: It rolls up to the size of a penny. I don\u2019t know what the heck you\u2019re supposed to do. You can\u2019t blow your nose with it. You can\u2019t do anything with it. This is utterly insanity.<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE: Well, now, wait. Did you try the four-ply, or were you using the cheaper two-ply?<\/p>\n

RUSH: They did not get to the actual demonstration that was foisted upon me unwittingly. (chuckles)<\/p>\n
