CALLER: I\u2019m here.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Sounded like a dead line to me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. Mega dittos from Illinois, Rush. It\u2019s an honor to speak to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My question or comment is somewhat off the topics you\u2019ve been addressing today.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s what Open Line Friday is. There\u2019s no topics.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t know if you have heard the problems we\u2019ve been having with the bees. It\u2019s not only our country, it\u2019s other countries also, the bees that are disappearing.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. We talked about this a little bit last week. There\u2019s a line in the story about this mysterious bee disappearance that is attributed to Einstein, says if the bees went away, that humanity would expire in four to five years, that we couldn\u2019t survive without them.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Uh-huh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And Einstein never said it. It\u2019s one of the these popular myths that circulating. It might be true, but Einstein didn\u2019t say it. I\u2019ve seen a couple stories since that original story that think this is really exaggerated and overblown. One of them was of a beekeeper I think in North Carolina whose bees are swarming everywhere. He hasn\u2019t lost any bees, they\u2019re all over the place, and he is quoted in this story, I think, as saying that this is much ado about nothing. Like you, when I saw it, I got sucked in, and I am Rush Limbaugh. I understand the Drive-By Media, and I got sucked in. I know how hard it is to resist this stuff. It was just more doom and gloom. And, of course, that line in there, ‘We\u2019re going to die in four to five years as a human race,\u2019 oh, I didn\u2019t know that. I didn\u2019t know that bees were — they\u2019re important and so forth, as are all great living organisms on this wonderful planet. <\/p>\n

But I was totally taken in by it, because I didn\u2019t stop to think it\u2019s gotta be from the global warming crowd. There was no allusion to this in this story. It wasn\u2019t until I saw another story saying this is a little bit overblown and very, very exaggerated — of course it is. Of course it\u2019s gotta be global warming that\u2019s causing the problems with the mysterious vanishing bees out there. At this stage, Mary, I don\u2019t know what the truth of this is, and that I think is a great indictment of the Drive-By Media and how these stories — I know that 90% of the global warming news is a hoax. The melting glaciers, the polar bears, the amount of carbon emissions put in the air by automobiles is zilch compared to what\u2019s put in by nature, water vapor, other forms. So even I, the great El Rushbo was taken in. I apologize for that, too. I\u2019m glad you called.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
