RUSH: I had a story in the past couple days that Mrs. Clinton on her website is asking visitors to her website to come up with her campaign song, and I don\u2019t have the story in front of me anymore. It\u2019s back in one of the stacks. I had the perfect song. I\u2019ve got this little fear that if I give you the title of the song, it\u2019s going to backfire. I don\u2019t want to create sympathy voters for Mrs. Clinton. Well, I\u2019ll go ahead and tell you what it was, because I\u2019m not going to do it. I was going to play the song, just my idea was that Sir Mix-a-Lot had a song back in the early nineties with the refrain, ‘I Like Big Butts.\u2019 Well, she\u2019s looking for a song. We can get somebody on the website to nominate it. I was thinking about this when going through the story about these two whales out there in Sacramento.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what reminded me of it. We had songs to lure wayward whales toward home. ‘The recorded siren songs of humpback whales played from a Coast Guard cutter yesterday as biologists tried to lure an injured whale and her calf out of a shipping channel and back toward the Pacific Ocean 90 miles away. It could take weeks to get these two whales back where they belong, said scientists. Still, hundreds of people line the riverbanks to watch the progress on Thursday morning.\u2019 This is out in Sacramento. What\u2019s going to happen with this, if it hasn\u2019t already, there are going to be people — they\u2019re out there in the delta, it\u2019s the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. They\u2019re playing this song. Whatever song they\u2019re using to trying to get the whales to go back to where they should be, there could also be a song that you could nominate for Mrs. Clinton\u2019s campaign, what have you. But beyond all that, this has happened before. This happened when I lived out there. I lived out there \u201984 to first half of \u201988, and it happened. I don\u2019t remember when, I don\u2019t remember, one or two, but a whale got in there.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, now, let\u2019s give them even more ‘controversy,\u2019 quote, unquote. Last hour (if you were listening on NBC\u2019s the Today Show), we were talking about these two whales lost up there in the San-Joaquin Delta out near Sacramento, my old adopted hometown. I have experience with whales out there. This is not the first time it\u2019s ever happened. It has nothing to do with global warming. Anyway, they\u2019re playing songs, siren songs that the whales sing to each other. The Coast Guard is trying to get \u2019em out. I saw a piece on Hillary Clinton\u2019s website early this week. She\u2019s asking visitors to her website to choose her campaign song, and I thought, ‘Baby Got Back,\u2019 by Sir Mix-A-Lot. I said, ‘I don\u2019t want to play it because I\u2019m not trying to create a sympathy vote for Mrs. Clinton.\u2019 Mrs. Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Mrs. Bill Clinton, whatever. People ask, ‘What is this song? You keep saying ‘I Like Big Butts.” Well, I Like Big Butts is the lyric line, which made me think it was a joke, and then I saw the whales singing to each other out there. Well, maybe that song, whatever the Coast Guard is playing, can be Hillary\u2019s song. Hillary is asking for suggestions. So people were saying, ‘I\u2019ve never heard this song, ‘I Like Big Butts.” Here\u2019s your chance. Sir Mix-A-Lot as the artist with the vocal portrayal here. The title of the tune is ‘Baby Got Back.\u2019<\/p>\n

It had another couple and a half minutes to go here, folks, and we\u2019ve gotta get to our profit center time-out. But she was asking for songs, and that\u2019s just what I was thinking.<\/p>\n
