RUSH: Last Thursday Nancy Pelosi was asked about the ongoing negotiations over the so-called DREAMers, the children of illegal immigrants who are also here illegally.<\/p>\n

Pelosi told reporters she has a nickname for the group negotiating the deal. \u201cThe \u2018Five White Guys\u2019 I call them,\u201d she said. She wondered if they\u2019re \u201cgoing to open a hamburger stand next, or what?\u201d<\/p>\n

Two of the \u201cFive White Guys\u201d Pelosi referenced are Republican leaders Kevin McCarthy and John Cornyn. The other two are Democrat leaders Dick Durbin and Pelosi\u2019s second-in-command, Steny Hoyer. The fifth is John Kelly, the White House chief of staff.<\/p>\n

Pelosi claimed a deal could have been done months ago. But \u201cthis week they\u2019re saying, \u2018Oh let\u2019s get four white guys and General Kelly to come and do this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

But her guy, Steny Hoyer, took aim at Pelosi\u2019s racial remarks. He said, “That comment is offensive. I am committed to ensuring DREAMers are protected, and I will welcome everyone to the table who wants to get this done.\u201d<\/p>\n
