He\u2019s from the Clinton era at Yale, and part of the sixties counterculture that grew up and acquired power.<\/p>\n<p>And charter of negative liberties.\u00a0 They look at the Constitution as &#8220;negative&#8221; because it tells the government what it can\u2019t do, and that\u2019s not good.\u00a0 Anyway, she\u2019s married to him.\u00a0 She threw a party on election night, a 2016 election night party for 37 female United Nations ambassadors, all of whom expected Hillary Clinton to be elected that night.<\/p>\n<p>They expected to witness the first female U.S. president, for whom they would all work in glory and respect.\u00a0 And, of course, what happened, happened; the Samantha Power party ended in despair and destitution and depression and disbelief.\u00a0 She revealed this in a new interview.\u00a0 Do you believe HBO is doing a documentary on the party at Samantha Power\u2019s house on election night?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-260495\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/FB-002-011518-Samantha-Power-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/FB-002-011518-Samantha-Power-1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/FB-002-011518-Samantha-Power-1-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>(laughing) &#8220;HBO captured the party\u2019s evolution from glee to sadness as part of its new documentary from Greg Barker, &#8216;The Final Year.'&#8221; Ben Rhodes also participated in this documentary. He is the former Obama aide and the brother of David Rhodes, who runs CBS News. Ben Rhodes and Samantha Power are two of the stars &#8212; ahem &#8212; stars of the film\u2019s behind-the-scenes access to Obama\u2019s last year in office. And that\u2019s what the documentary is. It\u2019s called The Final Year and it contains a scene at Samantha Power\u2019s blown-up party.<\/p>\n<p>They wanted to see the glass ceiling shattered by Hillary Clinton. &#8220;She was picked by most political experts to easily defeat Donald Trump,&#8221; as we know. Samantha Power said in the interview for this TV show on HBO, &#8220;I thought what an amazing night for them. I mean, that\u2019s what America represents to the world, when a glass ceiling is shattered in our country, it creates a whole new sense of possibility for people everywhere.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Among the invitees were also feminist writer Gloria Steinem and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. So confident was Power, she said she was afraid Clinton\u2019s victory would be called too early in the night,&#8221; ending the party too soon.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As the host, I was kind of hoping it wouldn\u2019t be quite the blowout that it was anticipated to be, because I wanted to make sure that people had a chance to interact with Gloria Steinem, and one of &#8211;&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So, your concern was that actually that the evening was going to be over early,&#8221; Glasser said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Too soon,&#8221; Power said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-260525\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/HillaryShortWhiteJacket.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"286\" height=\"261\" \/>Are you ready for this? &#8220;I wanted to milk the soft power dividend of this moment, and instead, and HBO was there, I guess unfortunately or fortunately, to capture it all, but instead, you really see what so many people went through, which was all of that sense of promise and excitement. &#8230; And then, it slowly dawning on us that not only was this going to be much closer than anybody anticipated, but that it was not going to end well.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Power said she\u2019s haunted by the film catching her then-four-year-old daughter lying like a statue in her mother\u2019s arms as the election is called for Trump.&#8221; You see that, she\u2019s standing there with her daughter in her arms and the daughter is said to be lifeless like a statue. Even the four-year-old was shocked and destroyed and she said it triggered &#8220;a kind of post-traumatic stress about their own election night experience,&#8221; meaning these women. What does this mean? Somebody help me out. She wanted to milk the soft power dividend of this moment. Milk it. She wanted to milk the soft power.<\/p>\n<p>This woman is considered a brilliant person by people on the left. She is so enamored of Obama that when she\u2019s in his presence and he\u2019s speaking, she looks like she\u2019s about to faint into unconsciousness. She stands there and she\u2019s got a frown on her face that is meant to be pleasant and I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m in this aura, oh, it is so, it is so wonderful. It\u2019s the most amazing thing that I\u2019ve ever seen.
